Do you eat when hungry or 4-6 small meals?
I've been eating when hungry.. there are sometimes I don't eat all day between breakfast and a late afternoon snack. I know I need to eat more, but I'm just NOT hungry!

I eat Breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I am at work in the early afternoon I will have some sunflowers seeds or a piece of string cheese. I think this is just boredom eating. Please don't tell my boss this.

Hi Pgray, I feel like im eating constantly , before Atkins i could go a whole day with not eating anything and only eat dinner, which was totally bad. Im not normally one who likes breakfast, its just too early for me ... so i tend to start eating around 9ish and try to stop eating around 7pm..
for me the average day would be
9ish 2 babeybells (mini cheeses)
10 30ish some protein chicken or some tomatoe
12 ish a meal of protein and veg or a hi protein low carb soup.
2:30 protein again or some veg again
(sometimes if i have it, an atkins bar as well)
then around 5:30 a meal similar to lunch but the opposite ie if i had soup i'd have a meal
in between im having decaff coffee with double cream, and loads of water ...my last cup of coffee is just after dinner...
but the most important part of the above is im not eating because im hungry, but because i feel i have to. But even more IMPORTANT for me anyway, is IM NOT HUNGRY... well most of the time and the times i am hungry i think its all in my head bad habbits learnt over years, ie when im emotional or bored. But then i drink water then or pick on protein or veg... or suck a extra sugar free mint.

I plan what I will eat as I know my "hunger" is not always belly hunger. I eat 5 times a day and I make myself eat when I am not hungry too.
I want to maintain this weight and if I do not eat at certain times of day and wait until hunger hits, I find that hunger much harder to satisfy, so I am more likely to overeat or binge even ...
Different methods work for each! If yours is working right now, just go with it! If you find yourself getting into undesirable eating behaviors, or going way too low in food intake, you can always change up what you are doing!
