Now see, I would go for the bun and leave the smores alone

Charlotte..I think going up the carb ladder would be very frightful...you are so close to your goal....hang in there!!!

I'd love to get to goal but doctor won't let me. There are studies out there that suggest it isn't a good idea right before IVF and my count of follicles was down last time he checked so he's being cautious. The smores are definitely going to happen as is the birthday cake. Anything else will be up for debate on a case by case basis, buns were just an example. Realistically my goal on camping will to keep an eye on the overall calories.. I'm going to take a calorie counting book with me and keep an eye on myself by writing down what I eat, I really need to get a control of my desire to binge when off plan. I stayed 100% plan last year camping but my calories were out of control and I came back with a 5lb gain.

DD and I went to the bank and back.. she rode her bike so I had to keep up by walking very briskly - great exercise!

Diane, we had the 100 degrees with humidity last week.. brutal! Now it's looking like rain for the next 10 days on and off which we totally need. The grass is dead! We had no rain April or May.. so weird. Very expensive for the ol' water bill. Is your AC and older unit? I'm scared because my neighbours just replaced theirs and our house is 14-15 years old, surely our time will come soon. ekk!

Sorry I have been offline for a few days... I did manage to stay on plan over the holiday weekend and so tonight I will allow myself a low carb tortilla. DH is dying for tacos.

I only had a couple of minutes to jump on, so I thought I'd take it.

MsWoods, Much thanks.

I have found that I am in better control when I am low carbing. I have been trying to do low fat, counting calories , etc and its just not working.......all I wanna do is eat. Once I am in ketosis it seems I don't have the problem of binging.....

Charlotte, medically, we all have to do what we have to do. Its just not fair but we gotta do it.

Tx, I am soon to be back in the pool....our membership is up at the gym and I won't renew it this time. I am going to start going over to my son's and exercise in his pool. Its not as convient but its a choice that I intend to make happen.

Charlotte - Out of curiousity, what is your goal and what does the doctor says should be your goal weight? Great job on the exercise.

Our ac is about 7 years old, we have it checked I think every year because one thing you don't want in TX is a broken ac during the summer..at least for me anyway. We also pay for insurance on our appliances and our ac is part of that, so if it does go out, we just pay the service call or something like that. We could probably use a nice rain here...I have a ton of apples on our apple tree this year, but we need some rain to help water it. I have noticed a lot of neighbors have water barrels to catch the rain water and they use that to water their gardens etc..I keep tellin DH we need to get one too...

June - nice that you have another pool option!!

Michelle - did you even end up buying those prepackaged hard boiled eggs?

to Raini and marksvic

Tx it's getting so hot here. I don't have central air all we have are air conditioners that go in the window. I need to get another one because the 2 I have aren't cutting it. I can't stand the heat. Just can't stand it. It makes me sick to my stomach.

I didn't get to buy the eggs, I didn't even get to grocery shop last week. It was one of those weeks. I will get them this week for sure.

June-as long as you are taking care of yourself I don't care what plan you are following. It sounds like you know low carb is the way to go though so great job! Have you thought about making some flax crackers since they are a better lower carb option for when you are feeling sick?

Char-I'm jealous you get to maintain right now. I have no problem maintaining but losing seems to be a challenge anymore. Sounds like you have a great summer planned.

Menu:
B-eggs, bacon, coffee
L-same
D-chicken?

I hear ya Michelle on the heat..I have been finding myself running the house cooler than usual because I have been getting headaches from the heat. Although if I could keep Duke off the ac vent, well that might help too!!! I am going to dread getting the electric bill....but...

Good idea on the flax crackers. Also, there are more flavored cheese slices out there, I think Borden makes them, and I have seen threads where people are making crackers out of them...kind of like Linda Sue's cheese crackers, just nuking them on parchment paper. Might be nice for variety.

Keeping in mind I'm 'just' shy of 5'9" I personally would LOVE to get to 140, but would be thrilled at 150, hope for 160 and would be satisfied at 170... as for my doctor. My regular doctor would ultimately like to see me mid range for my BMI but my fertility doctor wanted originally for me to have a BMI lower than 35 and currently wants me to have a stable weight so I don't release estrogen from my fat storage into my system. I'm hoping that since I'm still reasonably overweight that I'll be able to get pregnant and then maintain for the whole pregnancy. I binged and gained so much last pregnancy.

I never made it on the bike yesterday. Spent my night after DD went to sleep running around trying to buy her birthday gifts. Toys R Us was completely out of the scooter I wanted and according to their website doesn't sell it at all.. but they had them last week. Not sure if they'll get anymore so now I have to look into other brands and see if they are any good. I got her a Zhu Zhu pet but not the one she wanted because they were out (hoping to exchange before the birthday is the stores restock but just in case wanted to get one) and then got her the movie she wanted on sale, oh and get a Polly Pocket boat set thing just in case no one else buys her one because she really wants Polly Pocket. Also got her some 3-D chalk thing that DH wanted to get her.

On the way home I was getting gas and found a corner store selling Crystal Light slushies. I was so excited because they never have SF slushies. It was a little syrupy but overall quite good.. only had 1/2 though, saving the rest for tonight or tomorrow.

Today's adventure is taking DD shopping for new curtains or material for curtains so we can start working on redecorating the spare room so she can finally move into the larger room and get the big bed. She's too tall for her toddler bed anymore!

I can go to LCF but it is so small I cant get lodged in. is there a app for LCF?
Yea I am happy to be going back, I just hate moving once again. DH wanted to come back to Louisiana in February because outside jobs stop in the winter in Maine, I was not happy about moving once again I had a rent house I loved and wanted to stay but I came back because it is what he wanted at the time. Now he dont like it here (it is to hot for him) and the kids did way better in school in Maine. so we are moving back again

I have a app for fb and myspace and twitter so they are easy to get to.

I know I said we needed rain, but last night we got it but good...and I didn't even know it was supposed to rain. However, we had high wind, flooding, leaking windows, hail and this morning DH found a wet spot in the ceiling..so now we wait to see what damage was done. This was the worst flooding we had seen..and part of the problem is the neighbors flooding overflows the ditch, crosses the road and helps flood our yard!! I think we have had enough for a while now.

Eating has been good, just need to cut back on snacking on cheese...

Yeah TX, that's how I feel. I'm going through the same leaky roof thing. I hope too much damage wasn't done.

Raini-good job posting your menu, I find it helps me a lot.

Sooooooo, I'm kinda skeered to post it, but guess what I'm sitting at this morning? 265.0. I'm going to take it even if it's only for today.

I ended up not eating dinner last night. I just haven't been hungry. I can't help it. I had a couple of iced coffees and that was it.

Menu:
B-4 eggs w/cheese, mustard?, coffee
L-same? Or not?
D-?

Well despite being on a marathon shopping spree I managed to stay strong and not eat while we were out (fast food, even LC strict just never is a great thing for me) and I didn't binge once we got home. Yay! I did eat a little too much cheese but mostly because I was anughty and bought some cheese curds. I hadn't had them in a long time and they just looked so yummy. But it's out of my system now, will be another 6months before buying them again.

I got DD really nice curtains (I think) for $5/meter in the discounted section of the fabric store! And I got a bunch of complimenting materials for similar prices for throw pillows and a bench seat pad. Now to actually sew the darn things...

I could use some more rain here.. I want to make sure that we can definitely have a fire while we're camping. What's the point of camping if there was a fire ban??? Oh, and I'll take 10 degrees over here if not 15!

B - eggs
L - taco salad
D - more eggs, not sure what else
