50 lbs down, 50 + lbs to go
Well it took me exactly 2 years but I'm down 50 lbs
. It was soo nice to step on that scale today and FINALLY see 220lbs I lost 40 lbs in the first year and 10 lbs in the second year. I lose so slowly and get frustrated easily but today I'm soooo excited that I'm 50 lbs down This weekend I'm planning on going shopping for a new purse as a reward for losing 50 lbs I have another 50 + to lose and REALLY hope it takes me less then 2 years to lose it .

Congrats MAJA!!!!
I hear you about the whole PCOS/Ins rest/Met thing. It is HARD to lose weight! But you are doing it!!! Good for you. I have alot of weight to lose and that can stress me out to think of it that way...so what I try to do is remember that it isn't like I have to stay the size I am while waiting for that goal...I get to live at a smaller number/size every step along the way! Congrats!!! What plan are you doing? |

See that's probably my problem. I'm not following any particular plan, I'm just eating low carb. I did South Beach for a while, I did Atkins for a while.
Now I just stay away from white stuff (bread, pasta, potatoes etc) and I don't eat junk food/fast food. I eat mostly veggies, protein and once in a while I'll have a strawberry or two. |

You are doing so great Maja!!! Seriously!!!! What does it matter if it takes 2, 4 or 6 years ... you are doing it!!! You are not only losing, you are maintaining your weightloss too -- that is 40 POUNDS you kept off for an entire year -- that ROCKS!!!!!!
You know my dh went back to college in his 30s as a night student to get his degree and it was going to take 4 years going part time and he was hemming and hawing about it, but finally did it .... He finally reasoned with himself, and 4 years out of his life, meant that he was going to have a good 40 more years to enjoy the fruits of his labor ... In a year or two years, most people put on some 10 lbs as they age, but you are reversing time. I wouldn't change anything you do unless you somehow feel very motivated to do it, becasue you are doing great! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo! Way to go! It's like that old question: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. You will eventually get there. That's just what you are doing. Tada's so right...that's weight you have not only lost, but kept off. I have lost around 45 lbs over the last 3 yrs, so you are doing better than me! Right now I am setting mini goals of 10 lbs each. Instead of looking at the 100+ lbs I have to lose, I am working on 10 at a time...much easier to visualize and obtain for me. Just really getting fully into it now. The classes at the Y started this week, so I am able to use the facilities now for free. Have a swim or fitness class almost every day now. The excercise sure is helping with motivation. Look forward to seeing your goal post! ![]()
