Peeking through during lunch to leave an inspirational quote for those who may need it. I know I do for sure. Deb, your DH is in my prayers.

Hey everyone,

Welcome to all the newbies!!!!

I had to go to the dr. Monday for another sinus infection. He is sending me to an allergy specialist. I'll be back on allergy shots soon i think.

The real downer is that I gained a pound from the previous week. My shorts and pj's feel tighter. It just sucks!! Totally my fault and expected, but still sucky!!!

Tomorrow is a new day. and a chance to make better choices. I am going to try and post my menu every day to keep me more accountable.

Night everyone.

Hello all,

Doing OK on the food today, but I actually don't think I'm eating 'enough'...today I started putting together a list of what foods I like that I can keep at work. It seems roughly three of my 6 meals will be here anyway. That way I can just have something quick when I first get up and something more substantial when I get into the office.

Yesterday I started on the couch to 5k program...I have been doing some walking, and walked about 3 miles last saturday pretty easy. Couch to 5k is a 9 week program to take you from walking 30 min to running for 30 min (about 5k or 3 miles).

Week one: Walk 90 seconds then run 60 seconds, repeat for 30 min. Do this for 3 days this week. 1 day down!

Good evening everybody!

Stretching, warm-ups and the miracle seven isometric exercises before breakfast.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes. I'm feeling a bit better. I had a rough couple of days. I did do my exercising this morning although it was still painful and lacked the gusto of several days ago.

I'm not sure what happened. I was getting tremendous cramping and pain of the muscles of my legs. At times it was bad enough that it had my toes pulled up and back. My doctor told me it was partly due to the nerves in my back and legs misfiring, plus a potassium deficiency. Some injections to relax the muscles and a prescription for potassium chloride has be feeling much better. I've never experienced what I call Charlie horses so severe before.

Toni will be here this afternoon. I received a phone call from her yesterday. There won't be any stretching just the massage. She's also going to discuss the possibility of two visits a week with my Doctor.

No other plans for today.

Today's meals:

breakfast- 3 eggs, 3ozs pork sirloin cutlet, 1oz cheese, 60gms canned peaches w/splenda, 2c green tea
49gms protein, 8gms carbs

Lunch- 8oz broiled hamburg patty topped with sauted 3/4c mushrooms & 1/8c onions, 1 1/2c mashed cauliflower, 2c green tea
56gms protein, 10gms carbs

Supper- 8ozs Cajun spiced roast chicken thighs, Tangy Cabbage, 2c green tea
56gms protein, 6.3gms carbs

Have a good LC day!

Mimi, I have to try that "sandwich", sounds yummi !!!

Joan, enjoy the bluebonnets and your outing with hubby !

Beth, hope your day is going great and you're back on the wagon.

Deb, hope the sinuses have cleared. How is your DH doing today? Hope his pain has subsided.

Bill, you are a trooper! Charlie horses suck! So painful ... DH gets them frequently and knows he needs to up the potassium intake right away. I read in a book once that if you get one, you could immediately pinch your upper lip right in the middle and hold. Somehow that is supposed to interrupt the whole mechanism. I haven't personally tried it, though.

Eliza

Just checking in while eating my lunch - steak today. It was a stressful morning with many deadlines ending and I almost stressed myself out of my skin. But it is peaceful now.

I stay on plan till about 4, when I return home from work, and then I somehow let the carbs in. Cooking for and eating with the family ... an obstacle to staying LC I need to overcome still. I even had a foot off that chocolate bunny that's been hanging around since Easter .

i am a terrible fur mommie
i have a very old kitteh she is blind and toothless always goes from her chair to the litter pan to her food bowl and back to her chair i have LOST her i can't find her anywhere! the back door has been open all day because it is so very hot but that is 2 rooms away from her chair i KNOW she has got lost looking for her chair and somehow made it out the door without me seeing her i have looked all over the yard under every thing inside and out no luck
if she could hear me she would come to me
we have stray toms stray dogs skunks and oppossums around here all the time
i hate to think of her out there alone scared and unable to defend herself or to eat because she has no teeth i honestly don't know why i did not slide the screen over the sliding glass doors i just NEVER thought she would go even into the other room let alone across it and out the back door

please pray for Marble

i know when they are old sometimes they just go away to die and i pray if she doesn't come back that this is the case i DO NOT want her alone and scared

Good Evening Everybody

Well I got through another day without cheating too bad lol...I'm one of those people who should never weigh daily, or I obsess. I had a little sticking point this week at 348, went home and today I weigh 345. Very strange...all I did was drink lots of water and sleep! I missed my workout this morning, but plan to walk/run in a little bit here.

I had one of those double-down's from KFC today...those are awesome.

So glad your dear kitty was found!
I am off to spend another day in the yard. I did the front yesterday and it was SO satisfying to be outside cutting grass, weed eating, sprying 3 gallons of round up on the drive ways and potting my begonia hanging baskets.
Every Spring I worry I won't have the physical stamina to keep up our yard. It takes me as long to get the front yard done as it once took me to do the WHOLE yard. I take lots of breaks now where I used to not stop from start to finish.
So what if it takes me 2 days to do the work now. I am so thankful I can get up and out to do it and that I am not too sore today.
I am working on my mental state hard these days and I hope to be back on a weight loss track soon.
DS,DIL, and Gd and their big dog are moving out this weekend and I can get my house back in order. I think that will enable me to focus more on me again.
HAGD,
Jean

Good Friday morning everyone!!!
I'm at the office handing out pay checks this morning.
Bad news....there won't be a computer anytime soon for me.
Hubby finished out taxes and we owe over $1,100 to our wonderful
federal goverment. Oh well....life will go on.
Bill, it's so good to hear you are doing better. Charlie horses hurt SO bad. Some yrs. ago we had a young man at our church who was fit and out running on his lunch hour. He just dropped dead. Guess what from....lack of potassium.
Deb., I am so glad your kitty made it back home. That is just so sad that he can't see. He must feel so loved and happy to be back in his safe home.
Eliza., Hi!!! Love that cat picture with the fish bowl!!!
Jean, Prayers for you. Enjoy the outdoors while Spring is here!!
Steve, I'm with you on that darn scale!! I just have to stay off of them. I haven't been on them for a couple of weeks. I figure I will weigh again in a couple of weeks. I do know I put on a pair of zip up pants today that I couldn't have got into a few months back.
Jean, Enjoy the day seeing all the lovely Blue Bell ice cream.... Oh no!!! Did I just say that!?? I meant enjoy seeing the Blue Bonnets. (Only a Texan could understand this completely).
Sorry about your camera. I am a picture taking crazy woman.
Hi to everyone else that I missed!!!! Have a great Friday and weekend.
B-Atkins protein drink
S-LC muffin made with Flax meal with a cup of java.
L-Tuna Salad on a LC shell, strawberries
D-Chicken cooked in Mushrooms, onions and sour cream with asparagus.
S-? Not for sure yet.

Oh I have to give KFC's new sandwich a try also!!! They were making fun of it on the tv news. Talking about 2 fried chicken patties and how unhealthy it was. I think it's great they are doing the grilled one.

I don't think that sandwich is long for this world. Enough people will complain and it will go away. Which is a real shame.

Had a bad evening for personal reasons and never did get that workout in last night...and slept in this morning. However I didn't stray from my diet which I should be proud of.

pain and stress absolutely can cause a gain or a stall!! do not give up you are doing this and each ounce lost helps make the pain a little less have you ever looked into the hcg diet? there is a big thread on here in the other plans section

HAGD,
Jean
