Wow, so glad your family is doing so great . You guys did so awesome on the hcg! As for your college kids, $250 is awesome for a 2-bedroom in a nice neighborhood, and as you say, their independence is so important. I remember myself in college - you want to do what you want to do and when you want to do it. They are young married adults and shouldn't be pressured to live with parents, etc. Let them enjoy their college years!

So, Steven asked a girl out? How cool is that!!!!

I am so sad to see so many have gone. For good, you say? I know Ruth decided not to continue, but who else is gone for good?

Nothing new with me. DH's mother and grandmother decided to come over and stay with us for 9 full days in the summer! They are nice ladies but do not follow their own saying (which I have heard many a time) that guests are like fish left in the open - they begin to smell after 3 days! I am expected to take care of their every need, including serving 3 meals a day every day of their stay. Not too happy. I will be teaching summer school and taking care of them as John's schedule is crazy during the summer. I love people, but 9 days from morning till night is a bit too much for me.

Thanks for letting me vent:
Eliza

Good morning everybody!

Stretching, warm-ups and the miracle seven isometric exercises before breakfast.

On yesterdays trip to State College, Doy purchased what she needed at the Asian market and more green tea for me.
We spent a couple hours visiting with our son Billy.

It was a bit chilly around here yesterday. Spent most of the day indoors. It felt more like fall than spring. Temps were in the mid 30's in the evening. Brrr!

I too, miss all our friends who aren't posting anymore.

I have no idea what I'll be doing today.

Today's meals:

breakfast- vanilla/cinnamon protein shake, 70gms raspberries, 2c green tea
51gms protein, 8.2gms carbs

Lunch- 8oz broiled orange-roughy topped w/parmesan cheese, 10 asparagus spears sauted in butter and drizzled with lemon juice, 2c green tea
56gms protein, 5gms carbs

Supper- 8ozs pork sirloin cutlet braised in condensed onion soup, 1c steamed broccoli, 60gms canned peaches w/splenda, 2c green tea
56gms protein, 7gms carbs

Have a good LC day!

Hi to everyone,

Not much going on here ... Doing vacuuming and dusting and some other chores. Wanted to exercise, but I've had these bad back muscle cramps for a few weeks now... Can't wait for my appointment to my osteopath who can work all the kinks out.

I've been trying to keep an eye on my caloric intake but that kind of went by the wayside the past 2 weeks or so and have regained 6 of the 9 pounds I lost. Oh, the insanity. I wish I was one of those lucky people who were born to be skinny. Of all the skinny people in my genetic pool, I have inherited the stocky body type and proneness to gain weight of my paternal grandfather. What can I say, you gotta live with the cards you have been dealt. Back to TOPS on Monday for a weigh-in....

Ah! Fresh eggs! Nothing like them. The store bought eggs don't even compare to same day fresh eggs. What kind of hens are you getting?

Hi everyone,

I have never really liked eggs. There are so many egg recipes here. I just can't make myself like them. I have never eaten fresh, same day laid eggs. Maybe I would like those.

Joan, you just are like my DS. Can't make him eat eggs by themselves, he has declared he hates them, but he loves them in cookies, ice-cream, etc. Wish I had some recipe for you that masks the taste, but all I know is scrambled, sunny-side up, and hard boiled. I love them hard boiled in a green salad with cheese and tomatoes and oil/vinegar dressing.

I live in a development and the homeowner's association won't be happy about my having a chicken coop... My grandparents had one, and cleaning it was not much fun for them, so I think I'll stick to store-bought. I buy Wallyworld's organic free-range eggs and they taste awesome.

BTW, I live in NW Fort Worth, maybe we are neighbors?

Bill, where have you been? More garden adventures? How are your lovely granddaughters doing?

Deb, we watched Sherk III, too, as a family. It was a blast!

Good morning everybody!

I did my stretching, warm-ups and the miracle seven isometric exercises this morning but with not much effort. Pain an issue today.

I didn't do much yesterday. Pain was up and I had no motivation to get started on anything. Ended up mostly sitting around and watching TV. Unusual for me, watching TV that is.

Just going to take it easy today. Hopefully the pain will stop soon.
Today's meals:

breakfast- 3 eggs, 4oz pork sirloin cutlet, 60gms canned peaches w/splenda, 2c green tea
46gms protein, 8gms carbs

Lunch- 8ozs hamburg paddy, 1oz cheddar cheese, LC pita bread, lettuce, tomato slice, 2c green tea.
52gms protein, 8gms carbs.

Supper-8ozs chicken thighs, 1c green beans topped w/butter, Spinach & onion salad w/evoo & vinegar, 2c green tea
56gms protein, 7.2gms carbs

Have a good LC day!

found on care2 and thought it was beautiful and wantted to share
Quote:
O Great Spirit,
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
and whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me! I am small and weak, I need your
strength and wisdom.

Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.

Make my hands respect the things you have
made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.

Make me wise so that I may understand the
things you have taught my people.

Let me learn the lessons you have hidden
in every leaf and rock.

I seek strength, not to be greater than my
brother, but to fight my greatest enemy–myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with
clean hands and straight eyes.

So when life fades, as the fading sunset,
my spirit may come to you without shame.

Hi everyone,
It's tough not having a computer. Come to find out besides the virus on the computer my hard drive is out or going out so there is nothing to do except get a new one. It's cheaper than having it fixed.
I've tried catching up on the threads everyone has wrote.
Mama Jean....prayers for you. Take it a day at a time.
Great on the weight loss guys!! That is always great news to hear.
I hope to be back on soon.

Hugs and prayers to mamajean and Sharon.

Congratulations to all you "losers"! It is so encouraging to see people having success.

It was a beautiful day today - 87 degrees and sunny!

Still on plan - just hoping I won't sabotage myself like usual and get some momentum going.

I will be logging off soon - so good night everyone. Sweet dreams!

Sweet Dreams Everyone I was able to sit up for part of the day today without much pain!! I will be going to work tomorrow. I am hopeful that I will make it through the day!! (phone noise!!)
Thanks for your continued prayers, they are very special to me. Some folks at work want me to quit work and go on disability until this matter resolves, but I do not want to do that. I am so thankful for my friends and my parents and my family at this time in my life, it helps me to keep going... I am sorry but I do not know who posted that she had went through a brain bleed, I cannot find the post, but would you mind please pm me about ways to cope and manage until I get through this better?? THank you so much
Hugs and prayers everyone!!
THe prayer was so beautiful, Deb, I hope to go home with clean heart and eyes and not be ashamed, when it is time... too.
My mind is starting to wander, & spelling is not so good.. I am going to bed, now.. God bless everyone and keep you all safe Good night!! Jean

I live in Goldthwaite. It's a very tiny town. I have a brother-in-law in Dallas and a Sister and her family in Grand Prairie. It's a small world.
