Happy Saturday! Had a great Friday. Stayed ON PLAN last night and passed on the pizza and desserts. They had lots of left over pizza, but I brought home an empty bowl!

Yesterday's menu
B: Fried eggs and bacon
L: Chicken salad w/pickles
D: Chicken before I left and then salad with creamy dressing
S: Cheese and chicken

Just had Scotch eggs with chipotle sauce for bfast...To die for..YUM!!

Off to start my day......

good morning everyone!

peggy - you are truly an inspiration...

today we are headed to spend the night at our cabin... well... we'll be sleeping at someone else's cabin, since our cabin needs A LOT of work still... it was kind of a last minute thing... but we are short on money and if we stay at home all weekend, we will be staring at each other... so we decided to go there... there is a nature trail that i went on last time... we will be doing that today... cant wait! really looking forward to it...

happy weekened!!!

Good morning!
I made it through the second Fall Festival My stuffed mushrooms where a big hit, there never seem to be enough though. I had salad ,mushrooms and some flaxmeal bread that my lc friend makes and I was stuffed, didn't even eat any chicken. It does feel kinda weird being at these things and not pigging out.
Oh and my lc friend made this really yummy lc pumpkin cheesecake, small piece was only 3 carbs. Yum! PTL for good friends

Today we have a soccer jamboree for my daughter. 3 games, with breaks in between...gotta figure out what we are doing for meals. Safest bet would be to come home and have lunch....and cheapest. Lotsa driving though.

Anges, that sounds so nice, hope you have a wonderful time!
Peggy, Great job!

0 lb loss.

Hey all! Yesterday at work was crazy and the evening at home didnt slow down either. No loss this week. Or a monster gain from the funnel cake last weekend and then had to lose it again. There needs to be a smily face with a hand slap!

Glad everyone is doing well!
Have a great weekend!

B: Minute muffin
L/D: Meatballs w/ Spag Sauce and salad - YUM!
Going to find some cheese to go with my bottle of rotel for queso tonight... Thinking of dipping either celery or bell pepper?

good morning everyone!

i had a weird weekend... on saturday morning, i was getting ready to leave for the cabins when i got a phone call from my parents that they got into a car accident... they hit a deer on a highway... i rushed over there... the windshield was gone... the side of the car was very bent up... the hood and even the top of the car had dents... it was a highway, so they were going at least 55-60 mph... after taking care of the towing and police, etc... i finally got back and left for the cabins.. we walked the trails, etc.. got back yesterday pretty early... but now i'm sick... i dont know if its just allergies... but my nose is extremely stuffed and i have a headache...

not good...

happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone! (insert sarcasm here ). Did "OK" this weekend. Had a couple margaritas Saturday night with my friends. However, I got right back on plan yesterday and showed a loss today.

Yesterday's menu:

B: Ribeye Steak (leftover from my dinner out)
L: Greek salad w/homemade feta dressing
S: Pork Rinds
D: Buffalo Chicken dip (I ate it w/ a spoon...YUM!)
S: Cheddar cheese

That Buffalo chicken dip is faboo! I will be bringing it to my next party I attend!

Don't worry Agnes...I will be around I am sure for 2010 and beyond! I still have ALOT to lose. We will have to come up with a name for the 2010 thread tho!

I hear you on making do with what you have in the cupboards. I have that prob sometimes. The one good thing I have is a stand up freezer so that I stock up when meat is on sale. I bought two turkeys last week at $.49/lb. You can't beat that price! I also bought two roaster chickens a few weeks back at $.69/lb. The amount of meals you get out of one of those is amazing.

Good for you for getting two miles in! That is awesome! I have found exercise helps me when I am stressed out.

Have a great day!

Hi ladies,
I'd love to join this thread. I started Atkins on Monday and this site is so AWESOME!!! I have a blog and a weight loss journal on this site. I just copy and paste to each so they're the same. I started the blog first thinking it was the board for journals,,,I was confused.

Sandra, I've seen your before and after pictures and I'm so impressed with them!! I'd love to see Peggy's too and anyone else who has had success. I love before and after pictures and I'm ready to have my after picture,,,,or at least during,,,haha!

Morning ya'll

Welcome gagirl

Curious, how many folks where a part of this thread at the begining of 2009? I joined in July, knowing that I would not lose 100lbs by the new year, but really wanted to find a thread with people who could relate to having alot to lose. Not just 10 or 20 or even 50 lbs, but lots!
I'm actually still waffeling aobut my goal weight. What the charts say,145, just seems imposible, I can't imagine it. I would be happy I think at 200,but would love 175 (what I was in highschool). I guess I'll should probably set my 1st goal at 200 then talk to my doc about what is realistic for me.
So I have around 90 more lbs to go till my first goal.

Starting the day off great, worked out at the gym. I walked on the treadmill for a half an hour then use an ab machine and some hand weights to work the back of my upper arms. Looking forward to my session with a trainer on Friday morning, but starting off slow till then.

Good breakfast, fried spaghetti squash, eggs. Does anyone here know if it is recomended to eat something before you work out in the morning?

S~string cheese
B~coffee w sf creamer,eggs,fried spaghetti squash
L~chicken roll up on low carb tortilla with veggies
D~sauteed shrimp,w green salad
Lots and Lots of Water!

I need to look up the recipe for scotch eggs. I've seen them mentioned a few times now.

Yes,,,needing to lose a lot is so much different than 10, 15, 20 lbs of course. I feel like I'll know when I'm at goal weight when I get there. I think the charts say "around" 160 but it seems impossible for me too. I told my friend that I would be pretty happy at 200 I'm sure....like you. I feel like I'll know it when I get there. I remember being at 200 before and thinking I was fat,,,,haha. Or in high school when I was a size 12 and thought I was fat,,,,if only I knew!!! I just needed to tone up really.

Good job working out this morning! Fried spaghetti squash sounds interesting. I've never tried spaghetti squash at all but it sounds like a great way to use it!

Hey folks! sorry I havent been on.. Work has been crazy, I'm trying to refinance my mortgage to a lower rate, etc...

I have been getting up earlier but instead of working out, its to get my sister and me to work on time with her broken foot. Funny how I can get up at 5 when i have to but not to work out.

Welcome gagirl! Lets do this huh? Sometimes it just feels good to be doing SOMETHING and know you're changing your lives... Thanks for the compliment. I cant believe the difference in how I feel, look, live. One of the side affects I love is the hormonal balance. I could blow my top at anytime before and now unless its TOM my emotions stay steady. Its nice...

I made a crockpot recipe that was DELICIOUS! Stick of butter on bottom, chicken breasts and then a packet of Hidden Vally fiesta dip. Very good...

I'm going to try to make a salad this sunday and eat on it for a couple days to add to the meat and veggies. Mix it up a little...

I miss food entertainment. Eating just to taste different flavors. Its a great trade off though, feeling beautiful vs a taste bud party. Just wierd.

Larie, I've heard of people doing boiled eggs before the workout and some protein up afterwards...

Have a great evening!

good morning everyone!

Peggy - yeah... sometimes it gets hard... this past two weeks have been really rough on the money situation... my DH is a very picky eater... and for a long time i used to make things that suited him... hes not a big veggie eater, etc... but lately, i've been making things that we have and are on sale... and my attitude has changed... if you dont like whats for dinner... then you dont eat!

Larie - i dont think i can still fit into boots... i have a pair that i havent been able to close up for a few years... congrats on being there!

gagirl- welcome!

sandra - that recipe for the crock pot seems simple but so tasty... will have to try it... i made a pork loin in the crock pot yesterday... it came out really good... will be having that for lunch tomorrow

yesterday i cleaned out my closed... which to some might not be such a project... but it took me 4 hours... lol... so i am extremely organized in there... i wonder how long that will last? that was my excercise for yesterday...

today i walked 2 mile (WATP)... it was great...

happy thursday everyone!

Good for you Agnes! Nice to develop an attitude about that. My mom was that way when any of us kids decided we didn't like what she was serving. She would say she was not running a diner and we could eat or go hungry.. We usually ate. Smart lady!

As far as boots go...I ordered some wide calf ones and I still have some weight to lose on my calves before I can wear them, but they were a good buy and I am NOT sending them back! I so want to wear high boots. I have *never* been able to do so.

Yesterday's menu:

B: Scotch eggs
L: Chicken Salad
D: Cheese burgers w/hot sauce and mayo
S: Cheddar cheese

Hey folks!
My mom always made something on the side for my sister. She was and still is a very picky eater. I cant imagine my girls going hungry. We throw the food away so if they dont eat at dinner i'm pretty sure i'd be in there cooking in the evening. But the meat, veggie with a side for the kids is working for us..

That pork loin sounds good! The chicken was a surprise!

I drank a couple of cups of coffee during morning break so i cant eat and my blood sugar will probably drop here soon. Note to self: Easy on the coffee!

Its a BEAUTIFUL day here today. shame i'm at work. Have a great day all!
Yesterday's menu

B: Egg Cream
S: Coffee and almonds
L: greek salad
S: olive oil
D: Chicken and spinach

Thats why she is a picky eater! lol Most kids might skip one meal, but missing a meal is not going to hurt anyone and I guarantee they would be eating whatever was served at the next meal. I have 4 brothers...if you did not eat when served...you were out of luck as the food was GONE!! lol

the fact is... that i will make a side or something for dinner for my son... but i guess what i'm saying here is that i will make chicken in the oven one way and my DH says, oh i dont like that, can you make some kielbasy? well needless to say now he will eat the chicken or eat nothing... haha

i'm still at work till 6pm... what a drag... i cant want to get home and see my baby!

Wow, what a week this has been. Started working out at the gym...LOVE IT! Endorphins are my new best friend!

Wed. night I took my daughter to a girlscout skating party and was so happy that I can skate again. I used to go roller skating every weekend when I was in middle shcool. COuple years ago I tried skating again and couldn't because it hurt my ankles badly. Now I can skate again. Yay! Bad news is that 1 fall is all it takes. I fell and landed on my knee, it hurt so bad I almost passed out. Took it easy for two days, loaded up on ibuporfen thismorning though so I could work out.
Hope my knee is not killing me later.
Had my 1 hour session with the trainer this morning that is included with the membership. Learned some really great stuff then had a great 1 hour work out.
I really want to do 5-6 days a week. Think I might just not weigh myself for like a month since I know working out will mess with the numbers on the scale.
Anyway, mashed cauliflower is my second new fav veggie! Love it!

Gotta go, school work, custom order and paper work awaiting me.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

PWS~coffee,handfull of roasted pumpkin seeds
B~ sausage,eggs, coffee

Larie - so glad you had a great time skating! the one thing i cant wait to do when i lose weight is snowboarding... i have a bad knee from when i used to play sports when i was younger... and now anything sporty is difficult... but when i lose the weight i will be able to do more things... cant wait!

I also always wanted to get a session with a trainer... i'm sure they have a world of knowledge to learn from.
