I am proud to announce... my first floor is clean!!!
Whoo hoo!!! I actually got the sewing/computer room clean and organized today and my wonderful daughter took it upon herself to clean the downstairs bathroom for me (and did a FABULOUS job!). Of course, I now have to do the upstairs... but it shouldn't be nearly as bad. I already have the guest room clean from when my mother in law was here (we never use it so all I should have to do is air it out and vacuum), do the kids rooms (that will be bad but i'm going to make them help) and straighten my room (its not bad - I just need to put away clean clothes - I tend to live out of my laundry basket). I will need to vacuum the whole thing but hopefully we'll finish everything tomorrow and just have to "maintain" till dh gets home. He leaves Iraq on the 14th and should be home sometime between the 15th-17th. I still have to mow the lawn but i'm trying to put that off till the last minute so it still looks nice when he gets home. I'm getting excited!!! ![]()

WOWWWW min you've gotten ALOT done...i love it when kids can help and actually BE helpful LOL...there's a difference
i think the kids used up all their good behavior yesterday...they have been totally ROTTEN all day, every single one of them...they got into so many things in the garage that i closed it and they lost "clubhouse" privileges until almost the end of the afternoon when they had to clean the whole thing back up again...usually they just sit n talk, play with the toys out there etc...not today ..aargh! ...all through the yard, living room, anywhere, screaming, fighting, my toddler chose to hit, bickering etc over every single thing til i was ready to strangle something...i think it's the heat but i dunno, middle of the week, tired...??? who knows...but they're going home soon and my house is almost clean again...i have to shred chicken for dinner and run to the bank and put away all the laundry i folded...thats about it...i reallyyyy want to walk in peace n quiet later ![]()

Good Morning friends.
My food yesterday was 1 extra large egg and 2 1/2 saussage patties and 2 tomato slices. Dinner was 7 oz of beef stir fried in butter with 3 stalks of celery. Snack was 2 tbs of butter with 2 tsp of cocoa powder and 2 sweet and low packets (it tastes like fudge and cures the ocassional sweet tooth) I am having grilled chicken breast with pepper vinegar bbq sauce for breakfast. I think if my Dad is ok today I will go to the lake and bring Gavin home with me so his parents can have a vacation day. I have 1 more grilled chicken breast in the fridge so that will probably be dinner with some cukes or sliced tomato. I am thinking I will make spaghetti for Gavin and Grand Daddy for dinner. Have a great day. Jean

Countdown! "Toughest job in the army" is right - those serve who only stand and wait! Sounds as if you are on schedule for tidying. I'm sure your guy is counting the hours until his arms are full of family smooching on him. What's the arrival like? Airstrip or what?

He'll actually be coming home via commercial airline - i'll pick him up at the airport. The kids are making him a welcome home sign - we just bought a couple of big posterboards yesterday. Its going to be kind of nice - the kids are actually going to a camp for kids of deployed soldiers for a few days right after he gets here (not planned that way on purpose - just happened to work out that way with available R&R dates) so he and I will have a few days to ourselves. We've never been alone - Megan was born 3 weeks after our first anniversary. I'm not quite sure what we'll do - original plan was to lay the new floors (I just bought laminate for my entire 1st floor) but I think we may wait on that and just take a couple of days to ourselves. We'll see.I'm glad that your morning was cool enough to enjoy the fresh air - we've had a nice break here for the past 2 weeks too, but the weather man says that another heat wave is coming over the weekend - triple digits anyone? ![]() |

Well I just counted and except for several watermellon goofs I have made it 17 days now. I am still not going to kick me about the mellon cause my portion sizes have been good and my choices have been good too.

Hey y'all - this will be a quick check in - my computer is acting all weird - we have a storm coming in so I think its messing with my wi-fi. Anyway, today was pretty good. I didn't get my upstairs cleaned - I took the kids shopping for camp clothes insted. I went thru the packing list and realized that my kids don't own as many clothes as they're required to bring (hence the reason I wash clothes every day!). Anyway, we hit the thrift stores and found the shorts the boys were missing and the extra tshirts Megan needed before heading over to Walmart for eggs and milk and sneakers (no flip flops allowed at camp and that's all my kids have that fits right now). I did okay foodwise - too much as usual but not bad choices. I'm learning.
B: suprise, suprise - I skipped it. I'm just not a morning eater. L: steak fajitas (beef, peppers, onions and tomatoes w/ sour cream), diet pepsi D: stuffed meatloaf (ground beef and ground turkey mixed and stuffed with ham and havarti cheese), green beans w/ butter and bacon salt, 1/2 c. mixed fresh berries and splenda sweetened whipped heavy cream S: rotisserie chicken breast (they were on sale at Wally World for $2.50!) H2O: working on my fourth 32 oz. cup now - so it will be 128 oz. in a few minutes No excersize beyond shopping. I'll be cleaning tomorrow but i'll try to get on the treadmill tomorrow anyway. Hope everyone had a good day. Talk at ya tomorrow! |

Good Morning friends,
Yesterdays food was: Breakfast 1 grilled chicken breast and a bowl of watermellon lunch 2 McDouble patties and a side salad w/ mayo Dinner 1 grilled chicken breast Water-lots and lots I will be going to the lake in the morning to retrieve our travel trailer and we will most likely spend the night. It is probably our last hoorah at our favorite camp ground at Jordan lake. They are starting a reservation only system and you have to reserve 48 hours in advance. We have always camped impromptu because of hubbys job. This is just another hidden tax cause it will cost 3 dollars more to make reservations. If they have 500 empty sites you cannot camp there without reservations. And to think this is a state recreation area. I have my side kick Gavin again today. We have to run some errands and check on my Dad (so far so good). Take care and I will check back later, Jean |

Hi Deb like the quote. I've been observing all your posts the last couple of days. I haven't posted any comments. But I gotta say you're doing a great job. You're really keeping busy.
I'll be incorporating exercise into my weightloss regime. An exerciser I ordered was just delivered and I have to say, its going to be dueable(is that a word sp?) For me. Its called a magneciser. Its an alternative to the traditional statinary bike. Its non-electric and uses adjustable magnetic resistance. Just spent 15 minutes on it without any trouble at all. Yay I'm exercising!! ![]()

Hi Ruth, it is a pretty handy little piece of equipment. It only weighs about 18 pounds so I can take it out on my patio and use it while I'm having coffee with my morning news paper.
Don't think I haven't noticed how busy all you ladies have been. Everyone is doing a fantastic job. Have a good day Ruth and might do a little jaw waggin' with you on Yahoo. |

Deb we must have posted at the same time.
Sorry to hear about your MILFH(you figure it out !!) I think they must have a school especially for some MIL's on how be a thorn in your DIL's side. Cause it always seems to be the same pattern. Well I hope she gets a good thump on the head that will straighten her thought process out. Here some hope they help!! |

Here's the link that will show what piece of exercise equipment I'm referring to. I'm wheelchair bound and this is perfect for me. It can be used for upper and lower body.
When the link opens scroll down to see the picture. Magneciser Tata for now my friends!! |

My sister works HARD to avoid being a burr under her kids' saddles - and to be a MIL her daughter's partner likes to hang out with. He's a gourmet cook/baker and she's delighted to let him take over prep of meals. She brought me a bit of creme anglais (custard that pours) he whipped up. TO DIE FOR!!! Awesome!
Sunny in SoCal as the birds battle over two feeders my niece filled with seed. Half a dozen regulars, with a few passing strangers. What a great show! Got to get a bird book so I can identify the wee gaudy yellow ones and red-capped. Picking my way carefully through carbs that show up on my tray. Choices! Here's hoping y'all have a healthy LC day today! Drink plenty of water too! |
