Hey everyone. I'm doing my nightly check in. I got my kitchen cleaned - whoo hoo!! I finished everything - including scrubbing the floors before I rememebered that I didn't dust the ceiling fan blades. I'll get to it tomorrow but I know I'll be redoing the floors because the blades are BAD! So far I've done my dining room, front porch, entryway and kitchen. The bad room is going to be the sewing/computer room - there's so much crap in this room that i'm frankly overwhelmed. It will definately be an all day job - but I will conquer the clutter! Anyway, I am feeling pretty good - ready for bed. The boys lost their first game of tournament (not a suprise) so we have to play again tomorrow. I guess we'll see what happens. I was good foodwise:

B: chicken breast from fridge
L: more chicken breast w/ 4 T. salsa to dip it in
D: meatballs in alfredo sauce w/ dreamfields spaghetti
S: cottage cheese w/ fresh strawberries
H2O: really good - 100 oz. + 2 diet pepsi's at the ball game
Excersize: I finally get to put something down here - I walked on my treadmill for 20 minutes - pathetic I know but i'll work up to more. I want to be able to walk tomorrow. hehe

Hope everyone had a good day. 'night!

Good Morming Everyone, I woke up at 1:30 Am and am not able to get back to sleep, so I washed dishes and thought I'd check in and say howdy
My roomie thought I was nuts to be up washing dishes at that hour, but I thought "why not?? I'm up anyhow"

Wow, Everyone is doing so well in the cleaning dept. makes me want to join in and do mmore to my house, too

I think I stayed on track through the weekend, Had maintainance levels of food but stayed on track (sort of) !! I was so scared I'd cave in and eat the picnic food. (corn, potato salad, etc)(I'm the only LC person in house of 4 adults) Makes it kinda hard at times, but I'm determined to lose the weight and get healthy. Have to confess though, I have devoloped a passion for the carb smart ice cream bar I ate way too many of them over the weekend, but counting net carbs and listening to how my body feels, I did okay.

Ate salad and chicken last night and have been drinking decaf ice tea sometimes mixed with koolaid's version of pink lemonade I use splenda, it makes a good drink for a refreshing change of pace.

My morning's haven't been the best. I forget to eat half the time and end up eating lunch at 10 am and doing without the rest of the day. not good I know, so I'm going to be trying to eat breakfast today and the rest of the week. (that's my mission That should help get my pain back under control. I have meds that can't be taken without food, and I've been forgetting them too and wondering why I'm in so much pain

Well it's now 2:30, I best get to bed. Hope everyone has a restful, painfree night Jean

Good morning everyone. I'm sitting on my patio keeping company with a fine cup of coffee and enjoying the morning sun before it gets to hot. I'll be back to posting my meals tomorrow. I'm going to take the time today to put 4 or 5 days of meals together. Even though you haven't seen me on here much in past week, I'm still here and reading every single word that is posted. Please know that even though the printed word is not there, in my heart I'm cheering, praising and even criticizing, when appropriate, all of you.
Be happy, be safe and be diligent in your weightloss battle. Bill

donate all your odds n ends of tupperware that dont match to a school or childcare program they use them as part of "junk creation" or "creation station" or whatever they call it, letting kids create their own things out of random stuff

im enjoying a quiet morning before the kids get here and it gets in the 80s again today...opened all the windows up so there's a nice, cool breeze coming through...i dont have the child who gets here at 8 a.m. so it's still nice n quiet, all my own kids are still sleeping, including the teenager who practically lives here...gonna eat some breakfast, be back in a bit

I strained my wrist this weekend. The brace helps a lot but makes it very hard to type!

I cooked lots of food yesterday, got more food today. Lots of good choices.

I got depressed, pretty badly, around lunch, and had some berries and cream - no sugar, for lunch with some extra medication.

Later on I need to take out the trash but that's about it. Hot.. rained earlier.

I decided to tackle my nasty GMC pickup truck today. It has been so long since it got cleaned inside and out...I got dressed made 2 burger patties in the fry pan, ate them with mustard and went to the car wash. $6.95 to wash and wipe it down plus a tip beats me doing it. I was planning to come home and vacumn and wash the inside windows. Got a phone call at the car wash that my Dad was on the way to a surgeon with an abcess in his groin area. No clean inside of the truck. I went to Mom's and finished shelling the peas and butter beans she was putting up.
They got home and Mom needed to go to the grocery. I said go. No sooner than she left Dad got up to go to the potty and started gushing blood from his incision.
Long story short, I stayed till 7:30 pm. Came home and cooked dh and me 2 grilled burgers and am going to bed. I have to get up early and see if I can do the wound care tomorrow and if not go with them to the doc. See u when I can.

Wow! That's a very full day, Jean. I'm exhausted just hearing about all you did today.

I hope your dad is better soon - abcesses aren't anything to play with - Leroy had one that should have delayed him from deploying - not that the ARMY would let something like an open wound keep a soldier home - it re-infected a few weeks into the deployment and he had to spend almost a month in Qatar doing rehab following emergency surgery. Its been 6 months and he said its just now fully healed!

Hey y'all. I'm home from the boys' tournament - they lost their 2nd game (secretly i'm glad - i'm just done with baseball for a while). I was aweful today - the carb monster attacked and I gave in - i'm going to bed before I do any further damage.

B: 2 egg omlet with ham & cheddar, 1 strip bacon
L: leftover dreamfields pasta w/ meatballs and alfredo (probably 2 servings worth!)
D: 2 fried eggs, 8 oz. sirloin steak w/ bleu cheese butter on top
S: 1 oz. wasabi almonds, 1 oz. jalepeno almonds (at game), couple handfuls of pumpkin seeds
H2O: okay - about 80 oz. + 48 oz. green tea sweetened with splenda
Excersize: none

Okay - i'm heading to bed. TTYL. 'night.

Good Morning All,
I am waiting for Mom to call and let me know they are up. We have to decide if we need to go back to the doctor.
I ate 2 hamburger patties w/ cheese for breakfas and 2 hamburger patties w/ cheese for dinner also 2 slices of tomato and 1 slice of raw onion.
Here's the problem: I also ate 1 1/2 cups of watermellon. I just can't feel too bad about it. I took Mom and Dad the other 1/2 and there is only a little left. I won't be buying another one however.
I have no clue about food today. I figure I will handle wound care better on an empty stomach.
HAGD,
Jean

I'm not sure what I'll eat, Bill, but I have potroast, roast chicken, sausage, eggs, etc. Probably sausage patties with melted cheese for breakfast, bunless burgers for lunch, and pot roast for dinner (with a big salad). DH is gonna debone the chicken and help me bag it up. It's good on salads or plain eating. I expect him to eat a fair amount in the process.

He got very ill last year and couldn't taste his food, his flavors are still not 100%, but they're better and he actually shows enjoyment while eating.

I'm very proud of us, we've been eating a big salad every night for dinner.

Kitty brought me a big, dead, rat this morning. Lots of praise and treats for Mr Bubba! What a good boy.

I still wonder if I should get some rat traps, though.

Time to go put my brace on before I start hurting.

I'm here. Been reading every day.

My daughter decided to become a vegetarian about 6 months ago or so and I decided to join her about 2 months ago, so I haven't eaten any meat in about 2 months. I've been trying to cook more instead of eating out (especially fast food); so we have been eating healthier food.

But I of course have been eating way too much so my weight loss has been stagnant. Well this week finally I am showing a 6 pounds loss, so I will keep moving in this direction.

Doing low carb vegetarian is more challenging, but I think I can make it work roughly with the F-Factor diet (which I really like and it really works when I stick to it).

Ruth sorry to hear about your sunburn. It is so hot down here in Atlanta and the sun somehow seems more potent. I am on the verge of a sunburn and last year I discovered I had some other sun issue called polymorphic light eruption which is a rash I get if I am out in the bright sun to long...fun

Heather, I am glad your husband is feeling better and glad your cat got the rat. I am sure you are relieved.

BJW, sorry to hear about your dad. I agree with Deb, they do seem to send people home too quickly these days.

Bill --howdy.

HSARMYmom - Your meal plan didn't look so bad in terms of carbs. I understand what you mean about your kids and sports. My daughter plays tennis and going to all of these matches can be tiring. I like a break too.

Deb --- How are you feeling?? Did you make it to Curves today? I would love to rejoin Curves if there was one close to me.

Alaskanmom, my husband sunburned while we were in Fla 2 wks ago. His legs were horrible. I poured milk in a large bowl and soaked 2 hand towels and applied to his lower legs. I did this every time the towels began to dry. This was the first day of the burn. The next day we applied Benadryl cream which gave him relief. He has not started peeling yet so I think it helped I read once that milk replenishes the protein to the skin. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Just popping in to see who's up to what mischief - and who needs prayers to be strengthened for another who has more challenges. We all try to help others in our life, as we can. My help just now is to sign on to Deb's 300+ Support list and add my prayers to those of others who find strength and hope here.

Graphics are Deb's gift to those of us less gifted and adept at artsy stuff!

Coolish right now in SoCal, but we are bracing for a warmish day. Big bright moon in the sky at night. BRIGHT enough to read by. Amazing sight. How fast it moves across the night sky! How golden it is! So glad my window shows it to me as the hours pass and I watch it glide into view and pass onward.

good morning zerrrrr good to see you and everyone else...lola i also get red, itchy, bumpy rashes when i'm first exposed to sunshine after a winter here, it goes away after repeated exposure so it's like i kind of build up a resistance...but i still sunburn like nothing else i was utterly exhausted yesterday and fell asleep, slept good and didnt want to wake up this morning...i still feel very tired but functional...im not really going anywhere today and staying inside should help the sunburn...i might try the milk if i have some in the house that's a good idea

i love those graphics...and i so admire the wives who can let their husbands go off to war and support them

only 79 right now and only expected to get in the low 80s...doesnt seem very hot...by the time we're acclimated to the hot weather, it will rain again LOL...watered all my poor plants today, tended to my kitty who accidentally got left outside last night LOL she's spoiled and is used to spending nights inside...i think she scratched a bug bite cuz she's got a little owie this morning...she's happy now, sleeping in our walk-in closet far away from the children LOL

daniel is on the computer, baby sarah is napping and the other two are outside playing...going to have my first cup of coffee now

- I have this sticker on my van - they sell them at the PX. I just had to replace mine this spring - unfortunately the ice ruined my last one. Thanks for thinking of me - while I'm not in any way discounting what dh is doing over there - it is soooo much harder to be sitting home wondering what he's doing over there, and worrying, and not being able to call... I know he worries about us to, but at least he has the luxury of knowing that we're probably not getting shot at! Of course, I don't have to get up at 04:30 every morning. lol
