What reason given? I'm guessing she's disillusioned or seeks to save her family some pain from prying news hounds. Got to go read what is being speculated. Maybe she has a higher goal? Keep us posted. Now that we know about her, we want to know MORE about her. So now the governor is the 2d guy - now number 1?

Quiet day here, kind of chilly. I'm glad of a blanket on my bed.

Happy 4th to all who are out there in the midst of celebratory carby holiday treats. Be strong! A scorched wienie is my idea of good eats on the 4th!

good morning happy fourth!!!

yes the lt governor will now be governor...sean parnell, he's an ok guy...some other guy takes over as lt governor now...i think she got tired of ppl attacking her family but who knows...

we went downtown last night for teh midnight fireworks...it was alot of fun...HUGE crowds of ppl, the older kids got to run around and play, us and toddler walked around, played in the park by the docks, ate some food and had fun...we had to get there early in order to even park somewhere...we got there at 10 p.m. and there was still hardly anywhere to park LOL by the time it was over at midnight-30 it took us 10 minutes just to inch our way through traffic back to the highway and THEN another 25 minutes to inch our way home out to the Valley...all three kids fell asleep in the truck toddler slept til 8:30 a.m. which is late for him...

going back downtown for the noon parade today which is HUGE here its going to be warm and sunny for a change too...have to leave here about 10 in order to get some coffee, drive downtown and find a parking spot....after that the older kids are going to the carnival over on douglas island....boy talk about BAD slow traffic to get over there after the parade...only one way to get to douglas island and it's over a two-lane bridge...

I found the rat hiding in the trash can. I'm a softy. I took the can out and left it in the backyard. No more rodent! Yes, it was still alive. UGH.

After this, I am taking a shower and going to Starbucks for a heavy whipping cream thing. THEN I will buy more soda.

I so enjoyed my fish last night.
I used 1/4 cup of flour to dust 4 fillets and threw away alot of that so my catfish was just barely breaded.
DH's birthday is today. We bought a small watermelon instead of cake and I plan to eat a few bites.
Brunch: Grilled beef liver w/ sauteed onions and 1/2 cup of broccoli salad(raw broccoli, red onion, black olives, cherry tomatoe, dressed with mayo)
Dinner will be grilled beef ribs and a small serving of mellon.

we had so much FUN at the parade today i took all three kids by myself, toddler, son and teenager...you have to arrive about 2 hours ahead to find any kind of parking near the route so we did...and then we sat around in the HOT sun for two hours waiting LOL...we had lots of snacks and toddler was well-behaved...it was 75 or hotter, no breeze and sitting in direct sun the whole time...we're all a little burned now...the parade was an hour and a half long and the kids just loved it...older son and teenager went across to teh island with his family to the carnival and i suppose they'll call whenever they want to come home LOL...i inched my way home through the traffic and now we're baking some halibut for lunchish

Hey y'all. I'm about to call it a night - I picked up a few more fireworks for my kids to do after church tonight since we set off all our other ones last night (my town does its fireworks on the 3rd). They had a good time and are now passed out! They all had friends over last night and then went swimming this afternoon so I'm expecting late sleepers tomorrow

Anyway, I was pretty good today - it was a little hard to pass up the carnival in the town our church is in - I could smell the funnel cakes driving by - but I managed to stay OP.

B: coffee smoothie - coffee blended with a scoop of chocolate protein powder, heavy cream (about 2T) and ice - very yummy!
L: Big chef salad - lettuce, tomato, cukes, cheddar cheese, ham, turkey & caesar dressing
D: rotisserie chicken from Walmart - church got out late and I was hungry
S: small handful of wasabi/soysauce almonds
H2O: not so good - only about 50 oz. I'll try to get some more down before I go to bed.

Talk to everyone tomorrow! 'night

Good Morning all,
I have no food plan for today cause we are gonna be super busy. We are taking our travel trailer up to the lake and getting it set up so that Gavin and his parents can go camping for their vacation. Wouldn't you know its raining!
I did great eating yesterday...didn't even cut the watermellon. Water was not so good though.
I will be back later tonight.

I got some good eats at the grocery store today.

I am terrible about veggies, I don't even eat induction levels. Ron wants salads, so in prepping them for him I know I'll be eating them too. That can only be a good thing!

I got a nice little chicken, cube steaks, and ground beef for cheddarburgers. I'll do some cooking when I get up from my nap.

Thank God for air conditioning!

Hey everyone. I'm here - i've just been really busy this morning trying to start cleaning up for Leroy's R&R - he'll be home in about 10 days!!!!

Today I got "zone 1" done off flylady - dining room, front entry and porch are clean (still have to repot a few plants but I don't have the pots yet). I'm planning on tackling the kitchen tomorrow, bedrooms tuesday, sewing room thursday and living room & bathrooms friday. I kinda figure that after that I should just have little touch-ups to keep it clean, right? I'm hoping to mow the lawn thursday or friday - it needs it now but its too wet.

Anyhow, I made a really yummy chile garlic pork stirfry for lunch - Me and Jason (youngest) loved it - other two thought it was too spicy (Megan ate lunchmeat and Logan ate ramen noodles). I bought a package of "gourmet" sausages for dinner - not quite sure what we'll have with them but they looked good - garlic and artichoke sausage stuffed w/ smoked mozzarella.

Well, kids are at the pool for an hour and then the boys have a last baseball practice tonight - their tournament starts tomorrow night. I've still got to get Megan's new PJ bottoms sewn before camp (7/19 - 7/24) as well as my cloth napkins serged (Megan has turned into my little "let's go green" nazi!) so I guess I should get off here. TTYL.

okay so I am starting my cleaning late lol what else is new ? lol I worked today again agggrrhhhh I see light at the end of the tunnel tho I only had to work 4 hours saturday so that was not so bad and I am hoping to have thrusday off just answer any questions she has over the phone we will see how that works out
anyway other than the floor the kitchen is almost done, but crap then I have to cook dinner and mess it up I swear it is a never ending cycle so why do we bother? lol

I just went groc shopping and have a fridge full of food and still do not know what to cook for dinner I am thinking cabbage and sausage but the boys probably wont eat that so it means cooking something else for them aggghhhh and to think I use to love to cook before I had kids lol
anyway off to do my duty be back later
