are you still in induction?? if so then you are righton the dot for carbs but if you are past the 2 week induction phase i believe you should up them to about 25?? i gotta pull my book out and look for you(and me)

Jean that peach is ok! check out the South Beach guidelines still low carb but more liberal with fruit and veggies.. easier to do for some

now if i would just stick to SOME kind of plan!

Deb I keep forgetting about the emphasis on fat difference between Atkins and Protein Power. That's why I chose Protein Power. Its more fat restrictive than Atkins.
Have a good workout at curves.

Thanks for the imput Deb and Bill.
Bill, I pulled out my kitchen scale this morning. I took a small piece of lean sirloin out of the freezer and estimated it to weigh 5oz cooked in 1 tbs of butter. Wrong! It weighed 7oz cooked.
I guess my eyeball method ain't working so good.
I have been reporting here all my foods but now I wonder how good my portions really were.
I feel better, swell much less, can reach to do personal tasks much easier. So something is going right. I can push mow my whole front yard now without stopping or getting breathless and can finish all the weekly yard work in a timely 3-3 1/2 hours.
I have been back to serious trying for a month now. I feel much better mentally and physically.
Thanks to all of you for listening and being there.
Jean

Good evening,
Lunch today was at Wendys. I got I chicken blt salad. It was huge so I brought 1/2 home for later.
I had thawed a small chicken for grilling but its rainy so I will cook it tomorrow. We are going to have sausage and eggs for dinner with biscuits on the side for DH.
I was very busy today. I cleaned out my fridge and wiped it down good.
I made a Walmart run, got the gas tank refilled for the grill, took our trash to the dump, did 2 loads of laundry, went and got Gavin to spend the night and will soon cook dinner.
I am pooped.
HAGN,
Jean

Jean I never had a chicken blt salad but it sure sounds good.

There's a lot of that busy going around this place. It must be contagious. I'll have to be careful or I'll catch it.

I've never tried Atkins.
My only experience is with Protein Power Plan.

I forget sometimes there significant differences in the low carb eating plans.
