Patty- I have to keep variety in my weekly mealplans or I get bored easy. I eat a lot of the same foods but I keep them mixed up so I'm not eating the same thing sevrral days in a row. Soon I'll be adding more variety. But still keep the ones I've been using. I'm thinking more seafood. And more veggies. It'll be some work getting it done but it'll had a lot more variety.

Happy Sunday!!!

Ok- here is my lunch (not sure what I am having for supper, I don't plan ahead )

Breakfast- skipped, got up late.
Lunch- Chicken bacon salad. 4 strips of bacon, 1/3c celery, 1/4c sharp cheddar cheese, 4 medium cherry tomatoes, 1tsp brown spicy mustard/3 tsp yellow mustard, 2 1/2c lettuce, 3 tbls salad dressing ( all though I could have used 2 since it seems like a lot eating it), 1 packet of Splenda & 2c of chopped chicken. I come up with 12.1 total grams (after deducting 2.7 in fiber) I could have saved an addtl 2 if I would have only used 2 tbls of dressing lol.

Anyways- will post what I have for supper tonight.
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!

Well, looks like y'all have been downright busy and also loyal to your eating plans! That is great.

The motorcycle run (we tagged along in van) was 7 hours long. Sore back for sure. The parade last night was an hour and a half. It was great. Didn't hang around for the fireworks. DH and I took the 7 month old and the 2 & 4 year olds home with us. They were asleep by 10:00 p.m. and us shortly behind them. Baby awoke at nearly 8 a.m. so that was nice. He woke up smiling and smooching. The other two were awake an hour later. Got them fed and dressed for the day. They went home about 10:30. I'm still straightening and cleaning from comin' and going'. Makes such a mess when we do that. DH is mowing and doing yardwork. Afterwards, I think we'll hop in the van and just go see where we end up. Have to do my mom's meds for the week first though.

Wishing you all a splendid Sunday!. Blessings and hugs from Wisconsin, where today is 70 degrees and mostly sunny.

Hi Sharon, it appears you had both an enjoyable and tiring time with the little ones. Its amazing how much energy a two and four year old. Oh if we could only harness that energy for ourselves. Everybody would be calling us 'Stringbean'!!

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Not so good today.
DH wanted to take his parents biscuits from BoJangles for breakfast. I ate 1 small breast about the size of a thigh. I didn't throw away the crust.
I ate 4 string cheese and a leftover hamburger patty, plus a small tomato with mayo for lunch.
Shrimp Creole for dinner..Shrimp,onions,bell pepper, fresh mushrooms, 1 stick of butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder all stir fried and served over rice. I will skip the rice.
Snack was a fresh peach. I only bought 4 so I hope Hubby or Gavin will eat the last 2. I guess it is better to fall for a peach than a loaf of bread or french fries.
Anyhow I will do my best.
Jean

Ok for supper, I am going to have a minute steak (about 1/2 lb) topped with 2pieces of swiss cheese & 6 medium mushrooms sliced & cooked with 1 tsp butter & 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar and 2 tbls of evoo.

I know I should probably have something else with it, but this will be enough to fill me up. I may have a small salad before bed.

Jean your meals are pretty good. Overall they're still low in carbs. Keep working at improving. You'll soon be able to overcome those little cravings. When you make your food choices especially when eating out. If something on the menu catches your eye and its not in your WOE, turn the page. Look for other options. Really look that menu over. Make the waitress wait, hehe, that's what I do.

JamieLyn Your supper me looks pretty good. For my WOE it would be a little heavy on the fat. If in the future you're having trouble losing this would be a area to watch.

Yep ole meanie Bill!
In my WOE the only set rule is use only enough fat to get the job done. To explain; if you're sauteing veggies use just enough fat to lightly coat the food being sauted. It only makes sense that if you are cutting carbs so your body burns its own fat for energy. Why add a lot of extra fat to your diet and interfere with the body going to its own fat reserves for energy. Remember your body will use any dietary fat you add before it will burn its own fat reserves. Aw here I go preaching again!

Actually that is very helpful and I appreciate it. I bought a steamer so I am going to start steaming a lot of my veggies now. I try to get to the farmers market every Saturday morning so I have some stuff stocked up. Again, thanks for the great tips- oh wise one

Your welcome Jamie.
I either steam or nuke my veggies. Sometimes instead of sauteing in fat, I'll use chicken, turkey, beef or vegetable broth. Brussel sprouts nuke in beef broth is delicious.

Have you tried those steamer bags? You find them w/the baggies and storage bags? Those look cool or you can buy the frozen veggies already in a steamable bag, but I prefer fresh ones.

I use mostly frozen vegetables. Its just my wife and I. For us to buy a lot of fresh produce isn't practicle. We end up with a lot waste. I have tried the steamable bags of vegetables. They are good but considerably more expensive than the regular bags.

Looks good Jamie. Not much different than what I doing. I just opt not to have snacks. I incorporate the carbs from my snacks into my meals.

hi all i've been in n out today...ive been exhausted today and didnt feel like doing ANYthing, which is so odd for me...so i opted to just listen to my body and not push myself...sat around and read alot today, laid on teh couch n played with the kids LOL...finally got my tail in gear this afternoon and ran a few errands and took the kids to a friend's bday party...teenager is 16 OMG(!)...weighed this afternoon at the mall, down half a pound...weird because in one week it said i gained FIVE pounds, maintained that and now lost half a pound...i say weird because there is a loss in my body and how my clothes fit and how i feel...i can feel the walking paying off in how my body is looking and toning...so i reminded myself that it's just data and stuck the slip from teh machine in my car where i file all my weigh-ins over the years...havent eaten real well this weekend but i intend to just pick myself up and work at it this week...it's pouring buckets of rain out there and im still tired so im not walking tonight, it's just setting myself up to get ill if i pushed my body so rather than walk tonight and get sick for a week, i'm choosing to rest tonight, listen to my body and walk tomorrow night

i think its either leading up to TOM or just fighting off something that hasnt hit me yet...ive been exhausted today, ive been starving the last two days and my asthma attacks have surfaced again...so ive been vigilant on taking the meds for my asthma to prevent attacks, resting and eating when i feel hungry, which is ALOT of the time...but ive learned the hard way that if i dont listen to my body, i will just get sick

there was one time that i was really sick and i figured i'd just go jogging to boost my immune system and jump-start feeling better...well i jogged a ways and discovered that i couldnt hardly breathe so i stopped jogging LOL and certainly didnt get better...and within days of that i thought i threw my back out, it hurt SO bad...til i could barely move it hurt so bad, and i was still going to work with my students but operating in a fog...my guy FORCED me to go to the emergency room one night and sure enough, my lungs were all filled with fluid in a BAD case of pneumonia...it wasnt my back hurting, it was my lungs hurting from filling up with fluid...no wonder i couldnt breathe when i jogged LOL

Hello Darlings,

I went shopping in my closet, got about fifteen new pants, some were on sale at Dillards a couple of years ago, still had tags on them.....discarded some of my favorites, were baggy, tripping over them. Recycled sweaters my daughter bought about twenty years ago.....way enormous, dh suggested washing in hot water, will pass, too big....

Still having weird tastes, pulled some pork chops out of freezer for tomorrow...still cannot look a shrimp in the eye.

Y'all have a good week

Patty ain't it grand when you have get to rid of clothes because they're falling off you rather than you can't get into them.
Have they determined why you're having the tasting problems. I've heard of people who had difficulty tasting foods due to a sinus problem. Could this be a possibility?
You have a good day, dear Patty.
