I went and got Grandbaby Gavin today. We went to the dump and to visit Mom and Dad. Then made a visit to Harris Teeter. I bought 2 packs of beautiful meaty beef short ribs. I went there because they discount their mushrooms often and I wanted some for the beef roast we had for dinner.Of course they had none in the bargain bin. We like their short ribs better than steak and they are $2.79 a lb. A pack of 4 ribs runs about $5.50 and will make 2 meals for dh and me.
Gavin wanted Wendy's for lunch so I got 2 Ceaser side salads with Ceaser dressing. I threw away the croutons and added about 3oz of pepper jack cheese. It was a good lunch and only 2 carbs for the dressing for both salads. My crockpot roast was melt in your mouth tender. I ate about 6oz with some of the aujus. Yummy! No more news for today. HAGN, Jean

Hey y'all. Just doing my nightly check in.
Deb, good for you for getting to Curves. I'm jealous - our closest one is 2 hours away. Dee (and Bill) I am so proud of y'all for planning out what you're going to eat the next day - I'm lucky that I know what I ate the day of and remember to post it after the fact! Good job! Jean, I love Wendy's salads - the caesar is my favorite too. Awesome job! The kids were really good today and went to the pool for about 2 hours so I got some light housekeeping touchups done while they were out. I think they're all getting really excited about daddy coming home. He called today from the Baghdad airport - he should actually be on his way to Kuwait as I type. XXXXcrossing fingersXXXX I finished inputting all the lesson plans that I can (I'm still waiting on Logan's 4th grade curriculum since they sent two 3rd grades insted of one of each). I'm feeling pretty proud of myself for finding a religious handbook for the kids for this year. We returned to my childhood faith of Catholicism last winter and this will be the first year that i'm teaching extra religion classes (they'll go to CCD 1x a week but i'll do extra at home). Finding general Christian stuff is no problem - finding Catholic material was tough! I'm hoping that will be mailed to me shortly as I want to start school the first or second week of August. I want to start early so we can afford to take some extra time off when Leroy comes home for good in October/November. Anyhow, I was pretty good today - lots of water and i'm learning to stay away from snacks and only eat when I'm genuinely hungry. B: skipped L: leftover curry pork over cauliflower "rice" D: Linda Sue's White Castle Cheeseburger Pie, sour cream cucumber salad, fresh berries in cream S: none!! H2O: 100 oz. and i'm working on my last 32 oz. cup before bed. Excersize: 20 minutes on my treadmill. I only go 2.5 miles per hour but I'm discovering that it actually works better if you use it for more than just a clothes hanger. Go figure huh? ![]() Hope y'all had a good day. Talk at ya tomorrow. 'night!

Hey Y'all,
The launch did not make it up again, will be a delay of several days. We can stand out by our pool and watch it after it launches. Do you realize how fortunate we are to have Bill - "Grandfather Wisdom"....love his menu's, where do you find that brand of turkey bacon....have not found any I like. The word is "Pastrami" for future reference ![]() HSing Army Mom- So exciting to wait for your husband to come home, years ago I was a WW Lecturer, one of my girls lost over 100 pounds, TV network covered it, the husband walked right past her and did not recognize her. Having aimless days, need to have a "estate sale" have so much stuff, nice too, some furniture, a commercial desk in Mahogany retails for $2,500, will sell for $400. was my late Pastor husbands. If you are within 300 miles of Cape Canaveral come get it. Seriously !! Agood deal. Night , Patty ![]()

Min planning ahead is the only way I can succeed. If I try to do my planning meal to meal I end up off plan. Because I'll wind up eating something quick and easy which probably isn't on plan.
"SOUND FAMILIAR TO ANYBODY!!" This statement is not intended to point a finger at any particular individual. I'll just say if the shoe fits it may be time to consider planning ahead!! Min your welcome, glad I could of service!! That's my fav salad too. Its really a plateful and so satisfying. |

Good afternoon,
I joined the industrious club this morning. Gavin and I got up at 7:15 am. I made coffee while he watched cartoons and fussed about how many toys he had to pick up. I showered, stripped the bed, and started the 1st of 3 loads of laundry. I vacumned the whole house..even spare bedrooms. Dusted, swept, washed up finger prints and fly splatters on a bunch of windows. I mopped, swept, and cleaned our bathroom. (even scrubbed the shower!) Gavin finally finished his job after 2 1/2 hours and Grandma getting angry. ( I am adamant if he makes a mess he cleans it up!) Got him dressed and we made a run to WalMart. On the way I got the welcome news that GrandDaddy was on the way home . That almost never happens as he usually has to work LONG hours. So we swung through MCD's and then home. Breakfast was 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and a small sliced tomato Lunch was 2 Mcdouble patties and a side salad w/ceasar Snack was 1 tbs of peanut butter I have drunk lots of water today and am still at it. I worked hard today to out run depression. I saw myself in a mirror this morning and it made me so ashamed and sick feeling. I didn't wallow however I got busy. It was even easier to tie my tennis shoes this morning. Dinner is going to be grilled chicken thighs and salad with Ceasar. I'll try to check back. Jean |
