Morning!

Welcome back Kim--glad you had fun!! Sure, I'll plan your menus---maybe it will get me back in the habit of planning mine as well!

Meh, weigh in day. I know I'll be up but hopefully not too bad.....we shall see.

Kathy--have fun prancing around in your swimsuit!

Hey---why are some of the smilies missing???

Kim, I'm older than you, by 5 days! My birthday is the 16th.

I've got to get rid of that new avatar, I look older than 45 in it.

Kathy - mowing my yard in my swimsuit. I'm not sure I'd be up for that, but good for you! You are braver than me!

Teresa - think good thoughts for tomorrow, maybe you'll get a surprise on the scale.

My scale is misbehaving, back up to 165ish for the last couple of days after teasing me with 163/164 earlier this week. I'm feeling lucky though, I'm thinking I'm due for a little whoosh and will get back to 164ish tomorrow. We'll see.

Quarterly reporting at the office was due at 10am this morning. I got it in early for a change - 9:30am! I *hate* quarterly reporting. Now I have to catch up on all the stuff that slides while I work on the quarterly reports. Blech.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Val--I like the new avi! I'm the same way, my face looks better with more weight on....but my body sure doesn't.

Lisa--I'll do your menu planning for you anytime You may not like what I make you eat, but you'll just have to deal with it! (insert laughing smilie which seems to have disappeared )

I don't think I like this induction after vacation thing....although maybe the threat of it would make me behave?!

OK, have to go get ready for a meeting...at noon....how annoying.

Me either.....although my neighbors might pay a pretty penny to get me to put my clothes back on.....hmmmm, maybe there is a way I could come up with enough money for some plastic surgery this year after all!

I promise you---I could be stranded all alone on a desserted island and I still wouldn't wear my bathing suit ....heck, I don't even own a bathing suit!

And I still am missing half the smilies ---am I in trouble for smilie abuse or something? I miss my little laughing guy....

Hey---<<<<<I got him back....<<<<and him too <<<<and him too!

I missed my favorite little smilies!

So is the lawn all nice and pretty now? How's the garden? I went to the Farmer's Market last weekend and the only thing I really found was zuchs. Hopefully there will be more fun stuff coming up soon.

AND--totally off topic (what's new? ) but since when can you use a credit card at fast food places? I apparently must have started low carb before that started...thank God cause I would be in a world of trouble I'm afraid!!

It's been awhile that you could use the credit cards in fast food places....you can go through the drive thru and hand them your card & sign nothing!

The garden is getting huge...the only thing that is ready is cucumbers I picked 2 today. I think I might end up turning into a cucumber before summer is over No sign of the delicata We have so many volunteer tomato plants we have to keep pulling them...they are taking over! I just planted some spaghetti squash, I found the seeds at Menards....they have a 100 day growing season hopefully they will be ready in time.

I found out some info on the produce auction that my mom's friend goes to.....I might make a trip up there when it is time and check out the winter squash

What exactly is a produce auction?? Do you have to buy whatever it is in large volumes??

I don't think the delicata would be up yet.....but then again, I'm not sure. I'm thinking late August maybe they would be poking through, if they're going to come at all.

Yeah, that credit card thing at fast food places in crazy, and totally dangerous. I think the one thing that kept me from eating fast food every meal in the past was that I rarely carry much cash on me.....so to have had the credit card option would seriously have been deadly for me!

Yeah, you buy whole boxes of what ever fruit/veggie you are bidding on & I wouldn't expect to find them there until pumpkins are ready. I guess you can get stuff pretty cheap there.

Hmmmm, that could be a good deal, especially if you do any kind of canning or freezing of stuff. I soooo can't wait for delicata because I am going to buy a ton and find some way to store them. Worse case scenario I can freeze a bunch and leave them at my mom's in the deep freeze. I really need to try some of the other squash that are around most of the year like butternut and acorn and see what I think about those....

Are you a Big Brother fan? I'm thinking it starts tonight, or sometime soon? I need to check that out. I couldn't stand that show the first few seasons, then I got really into it, and then the last couple of seasons I've just kind of half way watched it. Hopefully this season will be a good one.

Maybe the rule should be if you gain weight over vacation you have to do a week's induction. I'm guilty and I need to--so Teresa, plan my induction week menu starting Thursday (I'll need to shop for it). Use Linda Sue recipes or things that I can do easily. I'll do my best to follow it for a week.

It might--especially if we don't have to do it if we don't gain...

Oh good deal on the BB thing because I couldn't find it for tonight and was wondering what was up!

Sooo.....hmmmmm, what kinds of things shall we have you eating..... Any allergies or restrictions (other than induction foods?)? Do you have a fridge, microwave, etc. at work?

Kathy
--you might have to help me on this one. I haven't actually done induction since around 2000 or 2001 maybe so I'm a little rusty!

Oh yeah, induction after vacation only if there is a gain---otherwise I'm not playing! Damn, I have a family reunion in a couple of weeks---I better be careful about what I get myself into here.

When I do induction:
breakfast is usually 2 eggs & sausage OR 3 egg omelet with pepper/onions & a small amount of cheese

Lunch is like a hamburger patty or 2, green beans w/butter & 1 piece of american cheese

Dinner is usually a meat and a salad

I keep it simple...when I go off induction I change breakfast to yocheese & berries and pretty much leave the rest the same......except I cut back the meat to 1 portion and up the veggie portion

I drink diet pop & coffee w/cream or 1/2 & 1/2

Linda Sue has induction menus already planned, you could start from that to get some ideas.

Sounds boring I know but if I stray too far from induction I start having lots of cravings

OK Kim---so what do you think about that for an induction menu? You wouldn't have to do a lot of cooking anyway--pretty basic.....but if you want a day by day break down, lots of variety, etc....just let us know Since we're not going to be doing the cooking I'm sure we can come up with all kinds of 'fancy' stuff for you to make and eat! (Kathy--like how I've roped you into this now! ).

That said---I think I would be starving on the induction menu!! I really wish I could feel satisfied with lots of protein and veggies but for whatever reason that just leaves me hungry. I either need lots of fat or lots more carbs...or both. But I'm weird like that.

OK---so if the rule is I have to eat induction if I gain on a vacation, I'm pretty sure I'll be good!

No allergies or restrictions--I like almost everything. I need a little variety so give me at least a couple of Linda Sue induction days mixed in. I do have a fridge, microwave, oven, range, toaster, coffee pot, and toaster oven at work and access to most restaurants.

151.4 so up .8

OK Kim--I'll work on some menus for you today!

And again, 1/2 my smilies are gone so it must have to do with how I have my screen size set at work or something....going to have to try to fix that!

But, on a happier note---look at your new Weds hottie!!! I agree that he could make my day a lot more fun---but he can't spell 'a lot' correctly---but then again, who cares--he is very nice to look at!

Not that I would let her look at him! Although she probably wouldn't appreciate his body like we do

I'm surprised you noticed the spelling error with that Wednesday hottie! I sure didn't! Between Kathy's hotties and Teresa's, I may just hang out here all day!

164.4 lbs this morning for me. The scale is still up from earlier this week, but made it below 165 which was my big goal for the week, so I'm happy! I've been back on track and losing for the past six weeks. I'm very proud of myself for staying so consistent for the past six weeks. It's so unlike me.

Vee~ I saw 162.6 on Sunday and decided to stay off until this morning so I was a tad disappointed this morning. But I do feel in control of my eating so that is a good thing.

WTG on staying consistent.....that is the key to success Congrats on the weightloss!!
