Thanks for the new thread, Diane.
![]() I had some spaghetti last night. I hadn't eaten since breakfast. Not smart for me. I did exercize and drink water so I'm not beating myself up too badly. I can't get my scale from kg back to pounds. I have no idea what I did to change it either. I had to dig out my newer scale and of course I weigh 5 lbs more. I know logically I still weigh the same but I still feel like I gained 5 lol. |

I'm in. Diane I like the icons, now everytime we get lazy lets look at it and remember we have to exercise.
I've been pretty good, havent been extremely hungry so i am eating less, its amazing at how lc controls my binging, I feel great and I've been exercising consistently, i've been doing 30 minutes on the elliptical and parts of a tape. The only thing I am very unhappy with is this film like feel in my mouth and the strong breath, I keep brushing my teeth and using listerine, cant wait till it goes away ![]() Today I had to work late so I couldnt exercise and I felt guilty, good thing I walked around at lunch time so at least i did something. Well i'm off to bed, have a good nite everyone. Sweet dreams

Illy - sounds like you are getting your groove back
Can you believe at Walmart yesterday they has NO eggs!!!!! I kept walking around looking for them but there were ZERO ZIPPO NADA ZILCH Can you believe we slept with the windows open last night...and I have had them open all day today..although getting ready now to turn the ac on Foods have been good, went walking this morning...I wanted to do our full route but it was too hard with the 2 dogs and two different leashes because Mattie pulls me and Rex's has one the extends. If the cool weather hangs around we can get back to our usual routine. BTW, is it too early to start bringing out my Fall decor? It is September after all

Diane I dont think its too early, halloween candy is already out. Enjoy your decor cause before you know it, it will be all over, time just seems to fly
I have gotten my groove back and I'm very happy. Today I didnt have enough foods and yesterday's dinner was a bit high in carbs so I was particularly hungry but I didnt cheat, I cant believe that from one day to the other I am in full lc. I went to the doctor today and weighted 243, my home scale says 241.5 (from 249) so I am going down. Can you believe she told me I qualify for gastric bypass! I said no thank you I can loose on my own...no offense to anyone who has had the surgery but she annoyed me. She told me she lost herself 80 lbs with body for life and printed me a copy. It looks interesting but I am sticking to what I know for now. Gotta go, be back in a bit |

x marks my spot........
I'll be reading the posts, but no time for playing much these days. Up at 6, school until 2:30, lunch at 11, then to work from there. Worked until 9:30, came home ate a boiled egg sandwich and read emails. Lovely huh? So tired I could cry........ so, going to bed now. Hugs to all |

Hey everyone,
I have working 10-hour days and have just been exhausted. This morning was a killer. Being tired and having nothing prepared to eat is a killer combo for me...so I had Pop-Tarts this morning. Well, hey, they were organic. ![]() I just really need some sleep more than I need food. And the only reason they were in the house is for my DS who was dogsitting last weekend and requested them. He didn't eat them all, obviously.Illy, don't you just love people who lose weight and tell you how you should be doing it? We each have to go our own journey. BFL is not the be-all end-all for weight loss, though it is a good program. Truth be told, I have considered lap band. I want so bad to not be this weight next year when I am 50. I have been carrying it around for a good 25 years now, up and down. Maybe after we switch insurance, I will look into it. I have heard horror stories and stories about it not working (for celebrities even), so I don't know. Didn't someone in this group have it done? Okay, I will try to be good and check in more this week. Crustless pizza tonight--yum.

Hi Gang.
Twyx, Tracey had it done and she has lost a lot of weight. I have carried this weight for years too but I am too chicken to have any kind of surgery. Torri, sounds like your schedule is crazy. You know my doctor gave me a copy of the body for life diet, she just printed a sample menu from online and its very doable. Its lf, you eat every 3 hours smaller portions, it looks interesting and she says you can have things just smaller portions. Maybe that will work for you, I liked it, I just dont want to mess what I have going right now. So we are in the path of the very strong Ike. Please keep us in your prayers, we dont have flood or wind insurance and we are super nervous about Ike. I hope he goes find Tina and leave us alone. Regarding my diet, I'm still going strong. Havent lost much, I started at 249 but in reality I was staying more at 247 and I've seen 241-42, I cant wait to see the 30s, better yet the 225s so I can fit on my size 16 pants. |

Morning Ladies
![]() Diane, hope you get your walk in today and good luck with beginning again. Stay as clean as you can. Weighed this morning and its no loss. Well actually I am a lb less of the 4 I gained last week for no reason Its terrible to be doing everything right, then have a gain or stall....... I have tried to figure out what exactly is going on but its really just wasted time I refuse to give in this time. Its just not fair I am discouraged but staying on plan. Not even getting the looser feeling in my clothes.....NADA, just nada......nothing to make me feel my body is changing. Yesterday I had chicken with mayo, tuna salad, egg/cream/cinnamon quiche. That is basically what I eat most days. Every now and then I throw in some broccoli. Maybe I am eating too much mayo?? I Getting at least 80-100 oz. of water each day. Hope everyone has a great morning ![]()

June...I know you are staying away from the fat but maybe you need to shake up your foods a bit..like one or two days of the week add some beef or some other form of fat. I don't think it is the mayo, maybe just not enough?
Kudos on the water!!!!!!!! |

Diane, I think I am getting enough fat. I use alot of hellmans. I use olive oil and butter. In fact I am thinking maybe I am getting too much fat. I slice a pork loin and fry it as I would a pork chop. Its just the way my body is. I figure I may wake one morning and see a difference. Monday is my offical weigh day but I am still weighing every day. I am going to try to get bk in pool today. We have had rainy weather for the past week.
Regardless what the scales say, I am going to continue to eat low carb. If there is no loss next week I will stop and revamp what I am doing. WTG on taking the stairs!! |

Hey Everyone!!
I am sorry I have been MIA for the past 2 weeks. So much have been going on. MY co-worker have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks, tomorrow will be her first day in the office. Then my sister's accident. So I've been back and forth with her. They both have insurance and she was not at fault so I know she will be taken care of it is just waiting for everything to fall into place. I loaned her my car until they got things together but DH ticked me off after one week of driving his car. Told me I was wasting his gas!! So I just gave him his car and my sister and I are car pooling. I am hoping things will be a bit easier now that I won't have double the work load any more. DH also leaves on Saturday for his "man" week in Vegas. ![]() As for the weight loss, I am pretty much stuck and 9 pounds loss. I have not been exercising for a week now. I did get some in on Saturday morning but that has been it. I am having to leave home much earlier and getting home later as well. As long as I am maintining my loss I am okay. I do want to loose 10 pounds this month, I am not giving up. 4 more weeks until my own vacation. I can't wait! After these few weeks I soo need a vacation!

Hi everyone,
Rock Jam was fun. I didn't overeat but sometimes I didn't eat right. I had chinese food, taco salad, the middle of a philly sub, cheese snackers, mushroom swiss burger, andfor breakfast sort of like an egg quiche, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and french toast. I didn't eat this all at once. It was all weekend (fri, sat, sun) lol. Oh, and a lot of beer. I have a girlfriend who has had a weight problem for years. We met in 7th grade and she had a problem then. She lost a lot of weight about 3 years ago and I asked her how she did it. She told me she got hypoglycemia? (something like that) and had to eat a small meal every 2 hours. That's all she did and I believe she said she lost something like 80 lbs. I am going to try it but still do low carb. It can't hurt to try and I know I do it wrong by not eating all day and then having one big meal. I am back up to 254 and pretty depressed about it. That is 27 lbs more than I weighed last year at this time. I can sure tell by the pictures we took. I will do more personal posts once I get back into the groove of things and am not so far behind in reading. |

I'm having a bit of trouble ladies.... I feel so horrible.
Some of the students are making fun of me. Isn't that the most childish thing for me to complain about? But it's awful. I'm the oldest and the fattest in the class. I saw myself in a mirror today. I was sitting in one of those rediculous student chairs we have and was in front of a wall sized mirror. I've not been able to think of anything else since then. I want so much to be thin again. I'm just not sure how to do it. Not sure even where to start. I just feel so stinking bad!!

Dust yourself off and TAKE CHARGE of YOU or continue with off plan eating? GIT R DONE |

Silver, I agree with Diane. Please don't allow these pple to identify you. You are a class above and you need to realize that there are very small pple out there. Hang in there sweetie, you are on your way down. Its about you now, not anyone else.

CW is back from vacation and things are getting back to normal. Our office has been flooded 2 days in a row. So we have been spending the morning mopping water. We have had a lot of rain lately with the hurricanes passing by. Thank God they have not hit but passed a couple hundred miles to our north. Just close enough for rain, thunder and lightning every night. My sister is off work today. Todays is her 4 wedding anniversary so she and BIL are spending the day together. I was able to get some exercise in and looks like I may be able to get another mile or so in tonight as well. Quote:

Hi everyone,
So I think I've decided against the lap band. I read some stuff about it, and it looks like you can have major heartburn and food backing up if you eat even a bit too much. I already have that problem and don't want more! The whole procedure just sounds scary to me. I guess it's back to good old diet and exercise. I have been mostly on plan since the Pop Tarts. Thinking about you ladies in Florida-stay safe! |

Thanks for the support everyone. I wish I didn't feel so horrible, but your words didn't go without notice. I can't get the image of myself out of my head. I think if I ever had lost more than 15 pounds I would feel so much more motivated. But by the time I get to that 15 pound loss I have given up or stalled. It feels so hopeless.
I considered lapband too, Rose. But to tell you the truth, I've never seen it go very positively. Some of the ladies on the LCF site have had so much trouble and many are still very overweight and struggling with it. What gets me though is that for some reason it seems to change people for the worse. I've seen some of them become addicted to not eating, fearing gaining weight or messing up their lapband. And the pain if they overeat, or eat the wrong things. I already have fear, pain and trouble. I don't need more of a different kind, know what I mean? I think everyone's mileage will vary, but for the most part I didn't see lapband as the overall answer to my situation. If I can not control what I eat now, having the surgery will not change that, and I will just continue to suffer but to a greater scale. ............... I am going through some tremendous stress right now along with all the pressure of school. I know that has alot to do with how I am looking at things. Everything feels bleek and glum. It's financial, and it's severe. It seems to effect every corner of my life, and I am fighting... believe me, fighting. I can't let this take away my sanity, but man.... each day I am becoming more and more emotional, which leads to "I don't care" about food choices. Then... I see the mirror and I start feeling guilty for letting food have that power over me. I've been having more trouble with my back and the swelling in my legs. The doctor does not know if losing weight will help either of these issues. I talked to him Monday, and he said he doesn't believe in "diets". He believes in the calories in calories out which means controlling portions, controlling fats due to their higher calorie content, and controlling carbs within reason. He also said ANY movements you do are exercise. ANY thing you do that burns calories, counts. So I don't need to run marathons or do hard core workouts. Just move. Walk more, take a few extra stairs, make trips the long way to the car, etc. I also must drink more water and clear fluids. So.... I'm going to do that. I'm not going to freak out over what is on the food plan, what I can't have, etc. I am going to write down everything I eat, and it's basic food structure and keep a tally each day. The beginning weight is back to the all time high, but thank goodness not over it. 258 Man, that hurt to type it just as much as it hurt to see it....... but not as much as it hurt to BE it. I don't wanna be it anymore. |
