Mtc is doing work in the basement so I am doing the stairs this week.

In fact I think since I get here so early I can do the stairs in the morning (since there will be nobody here to hear my heavy breathing!!!) and then do the stairs at lunch....and then weather permitting walks Rex...

Hi gang, I've been so busy and tired its crazy. This weekend we ended up going on the 3 day cruise, dh didnt want to loose the $$ and he said he was up to it. We relaxed but went to sleep late everyday, the other 3 couples that went with us would go to the club until late so we joined them. He did OK, he is still very dizzy but everything comes back negative so we'll see.

My food has not been good. I ate in the cruise, less than other times but still ate, then I have the inlaws at home until Friday and she is cooking so I cant concentrate on lc or exercise. I am still very sleepy, havent cought up from the hospital and cruise but I will get back to it soon.

Diane, the stairs is a great idea. I havent done them in a while, the stairs in my job are full of mold so I wont even try it. But the stairmaster we got is great, hopefully I'll get back to it by the weekend.

Coleen, I see you are going down. that's great.

to everyone else. Hope you guys are doing great. I'll try to be back more often but things are just too crazy right now.

Hi Everyone!

Good to see you again. I was getting worried.

I am hanging in there. I am re-losing my 2 pounds from last week. Even though I have been eating about the same. I have not been exercising as often as when DH was away and I have been eating later in the eveing as well. That seems to be the thing for me right now. When he was gone I was eating around 6pm now it is more like 8pm. So yesterday, I was home and did 2 miles and ate dinner early and I am back down to my low. So lets see if I can sqeeze out another pound by tomorrow.

We have been having som flooding in the new location with all the rain we've been having. So BL is now talking about moving....AGAIN!! Is she out of her mind??? If we move again, she better hire a moving company to do everything!!!

Illy ~ I'm glad that DH is getting better. I am not thrilled at the rate that I am losing but I am. Slow and Steady wins the race...right?

Diane ~ Good job on these stairs!! We dont' have as much as we used to in the old location. We have 3 here in the office. [/COLOR]

Diane, I am ok, just tired of gaining when I have been so good but like before it had to be the fluid,altho I do not feel bloated. My jeans still fit comfortably and that is my true scale. Tight I have gained, comfortable I am on track, loose, I hve lost Been dreaming of all the carby food I love......I think I ate bucket of snickers last nite in my dreams of course.

Hey Dedivah, your menu always looks so yummy

Hey ladies, sorry I have been MIA again. I have been eating mostly on plan but have not been perfect. No exercise whatsoever. Working 60 hours a week right now, and school starts next week.
Illy! I hope DH is okay. Nothing like a health scare to make you really get serious. I hope he is taking his aspirin and doing okay.

Diane: Glad you survived Ike.

Colleen: Sounds like you are doing well on plan.

I can't really post a menu today, as I have no clue what I am going to eat today. It is my day off, and we have run out of cooking gas, So I'm going to have to try and get some today. So I will be winging it.

I was able to squeeze out 1 pound, Thank God!! So I have actually come out with a loss this week!

My sister bought a Ford Explorer. It was not brand new like the one that was destroyed but it is in very good condition. So things will be back to normal for me. I can have my time in the morning to exercise and hopefully knock off 2 -3 more pounds before my trip.

9 days until my cruise!!



Rose ~ It is great to see you again. You are still working form home?

June ~ Thanks! I am very much a foodie that is why losing weight is so hard for me. I am in love with Food, the whole art of it: preparation, presentation and flavor. It is one of my passions, so I know I really have to work this program to lose weight. [/COLOR]

why is it some days those stairs doubled in size overnight...at least I did them.

Hoping the electrical work on the basement at work is done so next week I can get back to walking at lunch

Diane, I bet those stairs are going to make a big difference in your muscle mass. Keep it up, by time the basement is completed you might miss the stairs

Hey everyone!

I see we were all busy this weekend. I did tons of running around with my sister on Saturday in the mall. So much walking. But I did not exercise on Friday so I needed it. Sunday, I did the laundry and began packing. I am mostly finished I just have some peices that I am saving for the last minute. I don't want them too wrinkled. We leave this Sunday.

I am so excited that I have not been sleeping well. I had to take benadryl to get to sleep last night. I sleep pretty heavily when I take them, the bad part is, I wake up feeling icky.

Well I am back to my normal, now. I am able to exercise in the morning. My sister got her car so we are no longer car pooling. I can get my exercise done and have breakfast at home. I actually came out of the weekend with a 1/2 pound loss! That's a head start for the week.

Jaz, sounds like your definitely getting your groove back. Just hang in there and take it one meal at a time. We are all going to eventually get to our goals. Long as we take the time to post and read, I believe we will stay in the battle.

Tex, your dish sounded good. When I decide to up my carbs I am going to try it. Right now I am keeping below 20.


I joined a fitness gym today. Going to get bk in the pool. I tried exercising yesterday and its just so hard on my bad foot. Its just a whole different ball game doing the same exercise in a pool. My foot just will not take the long walking or impact on land as it does in the pool. This gym is right around the corner frm me and there will be no reason not to go 3-4 times a week.

HI gang, I'm sorry this thread is so slow. I'ts been so hectic these past few weeks that I havent had time for anything.
Coleen, have a wonderful time.
We just booked a 4 day cruise, it was $99, well it ended up being 425 for the 2 of us, it leaves Monday, we just couldnt pass up that deal. Sat we head to a beach about 3 hours away, my SIL is staying there so we are meeting up, coming back Sunday night and leaving on the Monday Its another hectic week.
Dh is doing ok, not great but Ok, so this unplanned vacation is a much needed getaway.
My lc plan went after dh's hospital stay, with the inlaws here etc I just lost my track Hopefully when I get back in town I can do better, he is on a diet and losing fast, but if some of you guys remember he just stops eating and that's it, melts away, I just cant do that, but with him losing hopefully I'll get inspired.
Well, I'm off to take a shower, I spent all afternoon ironning for the trips, then I have to pack for both trips. I'll be back when I get a chance.
to all, I may be MIA but still think of you guys.

Sorry to be away for so long. Have had so much going on here. Surgery was (**&%&^%*&^*......ended up having it done twice. There was a bone fragment that got left behind and did that cause some pain? yeh!!

Since then I have managed to get on my SS disability. Took about 5 months, but at least I didn't have to fight it.

What bothers me still is my weight. I have pretty much come to grips with the fact that this is what it is. I still try to watch what I eat, and I have actually dropped a few poundss. Nothing to brag about, it's kind of hard when you cant get out to walk or do anything in the form of excercise. But thats the way it is.Yeh, I can sit in a chair and do a few things, which I have, but thats about it. I never did gain ALL my weight back from the last time, thank goodness, so I just deal with it. Thats all I can do. Used to bother me really bad, but not so much anymore.

I'm gonna be grandma again. This one is due in May, #9 .......God help me.

You guys keep pluggin away......I don't have internet right now, but I will check in when I can.

[COLOR="Navy"]Well,I've been back since Sunday night but MIL is here seeing her Dr. She has a bad knee but lately it has become unbearable. So she was referred to a Dr over here. While we were gone she had an office proceedure done and an MRI. Turns out she has some arthritis in her knee and the cartilidge is torn. She is scheduled to have surgery on Monday.

The trip was very nice. The kids had a great time.

My birthday was on the 7th. It sucked! I hoped DH would have sent something through my sister atleast a card. He did not even acknowledge it. Not even a voicemail saying Happy Birthday. So he's in the dog house. Then I gave my son some spending money and he used it to buy is friends souveniers not even a freaking card from him either. But he is busy telling me all that he wants. He's on my crap list as well.

So now I am going to busy myself with re-losing this weight and planning next years vacation.

Right now we are preparing for Tropical Storm Omar. They say it could turn into a Category 1 hurricane. We can take a 1 but I hope nothing more. for us.

Welcome back Coleen and hope you had a good time..and happy belated birthday. I saw it come up but knew you weren't around so been waiting. Sorry nobody acknolwedged it I have arthiritis in my knees as well, and lately they have really been hurting, well my left knee...not sure if it is because I am walking more or the humidity, but wouldn't walking help arthiritis? Hopefully Omar won't get past a cat 1

Donna surgery twice..icky..hope you are healing
