Jaz, I suck too. I have a christening and luncheon to go to Sunday and a baby shower to go to next week. Then its my grandson's birthday celebration. Everytime I get on a roll there is some FOOD event I have to attend. If I do not blow it at the event, I will blow it day after or few days later Wish I were stronger but I am not. I lose then gain, then struggle to lose again.

HI friends, sorry I've been MIA but at work I have not time, then I get home and dont even touch the computer, its hard because my new job is on the computer all day so its draining.
I'll like to add myself to the "cant stick to lc group". Every weekend we go somewere, last weekend we went to Orlando and the parks, it is near impossible eating lc when you are out and about, I know it can be done but its not easy. I've been considering just eating 1800 calories, tyring to stay lc but not 100%, i was watching a show called diettribe and the trainer put them on 50% protein, 30% carbs and 20% fats, that sounds pretty reasonable, he said the key is exercise then things will fall into place.
I havent exercised, I removed a small cyst on my lower back so I have so stay off exercise, I remove the stitches on Monday so I'll take next week off to.
Torri, I'm sorry things arent working out at home, I'll keep you in my prayers. Good thing your clothes are getting bigger though, some good despite all the bad.
Melinda you are doing great
Diane, hope you feel better, I some some blah days off. Today is one of them
Jaz you and I are in the same shoes. We can do this
June, hiya and stay strong on those parties.

Illy, nice to see you.

I went shopping yesterday. I even went to Walmart. I HATE going there but some of their things are way less expensive (like cheese)

I am going to do my usual. 3 days of LC to get the cravings gone and then induction for 2 weeks. Water, water, water.

I made some cabbage, hamburger, rotel tomato, and cheese casserole. I never know what to call it. lol Tonight I'm making enchiladas. I will have one on a LC tortilla with no sauce.

We found a walking path that they keep plowed so we are going to start walking there as soon as the air quality gets better. It's been terrible (worst in the nation) It's fenced in so we can take our dog.

I want to walk at least 3 times a week. I told my 9yo he had to keep us on our toes because he is the only one who likes it. lol I also want to get my butt in gear and do Richard Simmons and shapely secrets with my daughter before she goes to school. I've been too lazy to get up that early.

I just don't have the drive I used to.

My husband leaves on Thursday night for NC to get my son. His plane leaves at midnight. I pray it's not snowing when I have to drive home. They are driving back. They want to be home by Monday.

TTFN

Hello everyone. I am in my own place now and got the computer hooked up. Just a brief update and I'll catch up at a later time.

Weight is slowly going down, I'm at 247 as of yesterday. I didn't eat well today, didn't prepare so I was caught off guard and hungry at school. I hope it doesn't derail me.

I have supper on the stove. Will check back soon.

Yes Diane, I do keep trying One lb a week is good Diane, keep it up. Sometimes I think it would be better for me if I just had a lb a week loss instead of couple lbs one week then nothing for a month.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

2 hrs in the pool this morning. Its raining and 32 degrees but I crawled out of bed and went anyway. At least i am exercising 5-6 days aweek. Tomorrow might be ice on the roads, I am still going to try and go. Its weight machine day and I really hate to miss that.

Im feeling a bit under the weather today. Stayed home from school and have just crawled out of bed. Going to try to work, but would rather stay home.

Every since I took that Jillian Micheals Biggest Loser survey and it said I needed carbs for my metabolism I have been doing pretty good with weight loss. I'm getting my carbs from whole foods like fresh potatos, veggies and stuff like that. Still not considering sugary things or pastas. Just have bread on occasion, like when I went to the senior class graduation party a week ago at Olive Garden. Haven't had bread since then. I am also following the eat fat get thin advice of upping the fats. I feel stronger than when I just follow induction type food list. That always makes me ill and weak. I think I am losing on a pretty good pace, so I'm going to Stick With It

Eggs and bacon for breakfast.
small potato and onion fried in the bacon grease.
Coffee and cream.

My thoughts are with you all today as we face various struggles.

New low today, nice way to start off the day. I'm off to school, then hopefully can get someone to help move some furniture into my new apartment. I'm tired of sitting on the floor LOL

Jaz, I hate you are stressed, but glad you have a loss. I always have a gain when I am stressed.

Diane, I am exercising every day. Am I losing, nope, I am gaining....go figure. Staying on plan. I am hoping the gain is muscle and soon(it better be soon) I will have a drop in weight.

Good to see you bk at the exercise. If nothing else it will make you feel better.

Hi Everyone...

Been a long time I know. You were all on my mind, so thought I would pop in and see how it's going here. Haven't had time to read all the posts yet, but I will. Still using someone elses computer and don't want to tie it up for too long.

I'm sooooo sick of winter, I'm ready for some flowers and sunshine.....

Hope you guys are doing okay on your eating plans. I have been doing some soul searching, mind probing, real honest to goodness war with myself about getting back on plan. I know I need to, you wouldn't believe the predicament {spelling} I have gotten myself into. Oh well, another time.

KUTGW....

Happy New Year everyone.

Looks like everyone is up and kicking still. I finally joined the type II diabetes club. I knew it was going to happen eventually.

My Steelers are in the Super Bowl on Sunday! I'm so excited. I was going to go back to low carb after the super bowl but I decided to start today since it's always going to be something.

I don't know if I'm going to do Southbeach or Atkins or a combo thing. I have to think about it some. For now I just decided not to go to McDonalds, eat candy and other junk foods.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing ok. It's good to see the familiar names still bouncing around.

Shelly

Hi everyone,

My husband flew to NC Wed night to get my son. They have been driving back since Fri morning. My son's car broke down somewhere in Nebraska. They just left it there and rented a car.

Sorry I've been MIA. I've been so stressed.

I'm stressed about money. We are going to sell our H3. I can't afford it with 2 teenagers on my insurance. We bought an $800 car to drive.

I don't know my son's plans. I don't think he knows either. His crap is all over my house. It fit before. Now I don't have anywhere to put it.

Isn't it amazing the cost of insurance on teenagers..especially males

It is stressful for so many families...so many without jobs..I am thankful everyday for DH and my jobs.

Is your 9 yo helping you keep on track with exercise? I think that may help with stress.

Hang in there

Do you have Animal Planet. Puppy Bowl is on...nothing like watching a bunch of puppies play...good stress reliever!!

Jaz, isn't it funny how once they leave the house seems to close up? Where you once fit everything in u now can't seem to find the rm. I hve been there and understand completely. Just take a deep breath and take it slow but start moving things around till it all fits. I am sorry to hear he had to leave his car. That really sucks. Just try to look at positives and push the negatives to the side for right now. Its not alot of help but sometimes we have to focus on the positives or it all becomes overwhelming. Just take care of yourself while you are surrounded with stress. Hard to do but it needs to be done. I look at your weight and know its so easy to reach the 290 point again and you don't want to go there. 242 looks so good. Hang in there Jaz, hugs going out to you.

Add some sour cream and bacon bits and its a great mock potato casserole. I take it to family functions. First time I took it everyone was surprised it was cauliflower. I just don't make it because it makes me gain. Maybe its because I just can't quit eating it

Thanks June.
I didn't have any sour cream...I was going to "rice" the cauliflower but was too lazy.

I got one of those steamfresh bags and nuked it. I brough some today and just added butter and 1/2 a garlic and herb laughing cow wedge of cheese.

Isn't it odd how some veggies make us gain?

How ya doing today?
