Prayers needed please

My husbands school that he teaches at is being closed. So while he still has a job with the district he needs to find a job that he wants or two weeks before school starts they will assign him a school and a position. Meaning he could be teaching 9th grade English at the high school around the corner to teaching Kindergarten Music 35 miles away or somewhere in between. He is certified in both English and Music. And my company has once again announced they are closing almost 90 stores. I will probably find out when I get to work in 15 minutes if we are closing or not. I am thinking we are going to. I know worst case senario that he will have a job (be it one that he may not like or far away) and that I will have a job for a few months while the store is closing to find another one. Plus our lease is up at the end of August which will leave us no ties so we can move if need to. Please just pray for our sanity and our ability to persevere no matter what is thrown our way. Thanks guys.

you are in my prayers and thoughts...ive been through the job wringer many a time with my husband, who tends to stick with a job for a year before moving on for one reason or another...luckily yours is certified and should be able to find a good job...things will work out, its just hard to see that sometimes and its VERY hard for me to trust him and trust higher powers that it will work out in the end thats been an ongoing life lesson for me, to just let go and trust

I feel for you hon. I am just now getting back to work after my surgery beginning of April. I only intended to be off until May and had only put back enough for that. Well, I ended up jobless until June 30th. EEEEEEK! My husband is now working as am I and I know things will be okay for you too. I will keep you in my thoughts and send happy vibes your way!

Thanks guys. I found out that it isn't going to be our store. But it is our sister store 15 minutes away. So yesterday was pretty cruddy knowing that some of our friends might lose their jobs but the whole district seems to be finding spaces in their staff for everyone even all of the managers with other people who have left they are just going not hire anyone and hold open the positions of the people who leave so they all have a place to go when that store is closed. So bad news but it looks like everyone is watching out for each other so it hopefully won't be too bad for the other crew. Now the hubby and I are just focused on finding a new position for him that he is going to love.

But an odd thing. I kept talking to God and asking him to give me a sign of what to do. When I came home there was a copy of the Koran on our door. I'm hoping our signals got crossed.

Thanks. And I love your 3 cents line. Going to have to use that at work today. And yes closer to home for him would be great, but we are also about 30 miles away from my parents and brothers and I would love to live closer. So I am just hoping that the new job isn't further away from the family.

You are in my prayers. I know how scary it is. I have to drive 38 miles each way to work and back in an 8 cyl Dodge Charger because there are no paying jobs where I live. Luckily they haven't talked about closing or pulling out here. There are 9 centers for my company and I don't want to have to move my daughter from her family for a job.

The economy sucks, don't it?

very much so. With working retail right now,you don't want to leave your company for fear that the new company will be worse off.
