I just won an auction on EBAY for 25 $4 off coupons for any monistat or ept product. I paid $3.62 total. This is awesome! I will only have to pay $2.97 for each tube, plus my husband's discount for being a Wal-Mart employee. They are good until October of this year. I am going to stock up and be rash free for the rest of the year and then some!!!

Shawna, I am not sure what hubby gets as a discount but like I mentioned...Rite Aid does them for $4.99 sometimes and w/ that coupon it would be $.99 if you have a Rite aid!

I tell ya' with things going up I am glad I started using coupons. I have started to stock pile things when they are cheap and EVEN free at CVS a lot of the time!

Good for you , for trying to get all you can for as little as you can!

Thanks for the advice girl. It was you who pointed me in the right direction about the coupons! I love this stuff and can't live without it down here in the south. I'll have to check into Rite Aid. I do believe there is one here. That would be sooooooo awesome! Thanks again!

Your new addiction...coupons....I have that addiction!

Just make sure they say the soothing care or any monistat...some say "yeast infection treatment" and are only good for that.

I suggest in these times everyone check out grocery game dot com. You can try it for 6 weeks i think for free. It matches up sales at your local stores w/ the coupons available and tells you when to stock up on something. I have gotten a box of General Mills cereal for like $.50 and during a promo when if you bought so much general mills you got a free movie ticket?

Now I don't eat that but if the deal is good enough I will donate it. Before i couldn't afford to donate to others!

Also toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, razors.... FREE at CVS w/ coupons and their extra buck's program!

Happy shopping and staying rash free!

My war on the apron flap irritations is to use mineral oil under and over all creases while still wet frm shower or bath. Actually I put mineral oil all over me. Then I blot dry. I keep a spray bottle of water/alcohol under the vanity in bathroom. During day a quick spray in certain areas keeps me clean and fresh and almost germ free in those special areas. The big plus........the oil gives my skin a nice glow and deepens my tan.

Just wanted to post these deals for Monistat Soothing Care.

If you go to the coupon clippers dot com you can buy $4 off coupons for $.20 a piece. MAKE SURE It is for the soothing care and not the infection treatment.

Rite Aid is have a sale this week for $4.99 each...w/ that $4 coupon you pay $.99 each BUT Rite aid so does a rebate thing. There is a Rebate ( Single Check Rebate #59) Spend $60 on Monitstat and I think KY products.

Buy 13 ( you don't have to buy them all on one receipt)

Sale: 4.99 Buy 13 = $64.87
Use: $4 coupon = $52 in coupons
Pay out of pocket $12.87
Sign up online for the rebates, submit your receipts online and get a check back for $25.00 ( so more than you paid)

CVS:
For the month of August they have an Extra Care Buck deal on monistat soothing gel. If you buy one you get $ or $4 in Extra Care Buck's...If you not familar w/ "Ecb's" it is a coupon on your receipt WORTH money that can use to buy things in CVS. Check out i heart cvs .com for a better explanation)

Anyway the reg price on it is $7.99 - $4 coupon you pay $3.99 but then right on that receipt will be a $4 coupon torward anything in CVS ( except alcohol, prescriptions and cigs)

I was just coming to ask this same question (glad I did a search before posting).

I have such a horrible, red, angry-looking rash under my stomach "apron" that I almost want to cry

I am going to WM tomorrow to pick up some of the Monistat soothing gel and give it a try. I pray that it works well for me because this rash is really awful. I would be so embarrassed to even have my DH see it.

Awwww, Kelly I know exactly how you feel....accept for DH I am single!

Don't wait for relief though, Wash it good, pat it dry...some even suggest a hair dryer and tuck rolled up wash clothes or hand towels under the apron...life it if up and tuck them in there.

My apron is so big you couldn't even notice.

If you have anything like vitamin e oil maybe rub it w/ that temporarily or maybe some neosporin.

HTH, Take care and REMEMBER to look for those coupons and special deals!

BTDT!

It gets worse if I'm camping and can't get as clean as I do at home. Or when it's HOT and I'm all sweaty all the time

I add some apple cider or white vinegar to the tub when it gets like that, soak for a while, then apply lotrimin cream.

I'll have to look for the soothing gel...

Is there a weight where this goes away? I imagine it has more to do with how much extra skin, huh?

Thanks for the kind words.

I did find some Gold Bond medicated lotion in the bathroom closet and put some of that on the rash. It actually feels a little better.

But I am still going to go to WM tomorrow to get the Monistat soothing gel to see if I can get this cleared up. It looks like it is "oozing"

I've had a rash like this before, but nothing like this. It's never been painful, just red and irritated.

I did a great deal of walking today out in the heat and I guess the friction just made this rash flare up so badly that it is so much worse than I've ever seen it. Usually, I can just put some medicated lotion on it and the next day, it is fine.

Once you get the rash cleared up, I've had GREAT results with Body Glide. It totally prevents chafing and doesn't feel icky. I walk a lot, and I use it everywhere that "rubs." I was getting marks under my arms, and along my back rolls, as well as the apron area. This helps a lot with that stuff.

It won't do anything for yeast or bacteria, but if you're just looking to prevent rubbing you might give it a try!

I just want to clarify one thing for anyone who finds this thread later one. The Monistat Soothing Care is a gel, that turns to like a powdery substance on the skin.....It is for the friction. It DOES not treat yeast infections.

Yes it is by monistat but it does not treat yeast infections.

I should have known since monistat is known for yeast infection remedies that some might think this is for yeast infections on the skin. Sorry for any confusion!

KellyJef....you need to put something on your rash to treat it before it gets worse...and they can quickly get a lot worse.

I would try some Neosporin on a bit of it and some ANTIFUNGAL monistat (not the soothing gel) on another part and see which one clears up...that way you will be able to tell whether it's bacterial or fungal.

If neither area clears up, then go to the doctor ASAP.

You've received a lot of great recommendations. One that works for me is Gold Bond. It works every time. I do not have this problem since I have lost over 100 lbs, but when I had it, I used the gold bond.
