I have not done much damage but the will to do it is just not there no matter how much I wish it were.

any ideas on how to bring my weightloss mindset back

Hope it returns soon. Love to all!

hi Carol!!! maybe checking in here will help you get in the mood???

I have just been in the pit of depression and self loathing, with that stupid wedding breathing down my neck, feeling like I let my time to lose slip away. forty measly pounds is nothing, when I look in the mirror. Of course I am happy that it is gone, but my heart is just breaking today, for all the dumb choices I have made to get to needing to lose and lose and lose.

Heidi you sound like me...Heidi your a beautiful lady and when you are all dressed up you will be radiant. I will try posting.

I guess food means something and moving doesn't seem to be what I look to do with Osteo A ... not an excuse.

I went to a orthopedic surgeon he took xrays of my knees and showed them to me I came home so depressed there is no cartiledge on one side of my left knee I think it is the outside side and just a narrow amount on the inside side. no wonder it is so painful to move.

marking my spot for another day. I have been sucked into the Gilmore world and I have 3 seasons done with 4 to go. I have no idea if they are currently running anymore for this year, but it is all good either way. I like having all the seasons to watch in a row. Crap, I stay up until 5 am watching them! I am a total addict.

Oh well, better than drugs right? lol.

Hi Nikki and you look great too...I am drained but have/want to get serious.

Heidi...yes he is younger it works out as a positive
We have been married for 16 years now...I remember when I was trying to decide if I wanted to take our relationship to the marriage level because he was 34 and I was 45 won out and sure glad I did as things turned out in my life he is the best yes decicion I have ever made.

We are celebrating his 50th at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in the Avi. Ruth's in Sarasota...I got the petite filet it was very special and DH loves to go there.

Today I am moving towards portion control but I am not to where I am weighing yet it is in my future again.

I am frightened of myself I say yes to me so easy when the temptation moment arises I just pick up whatever I want and eat it I must not let that in the house

Gettin I am currently watching lots of movies on watch instantly netflix it keeps my mind off of what delicious thing should I have next.

Gilmore's is great I got this from their website and I like it ...trying to believe I can catch my dream to be out of the 300's someday

quote from Gilmore's site:

Sometimes happiness does not come of its own free will - you have to pursue it with passion.
Our wish for you today is that you chase your dreams, and actually catch them!

sounds good when I read it...Trying to chase depression away

Hi-
Carol good to see you back and sorry about your knees. *hug*
Kim-KUTGW!
Tanicka-glad to se ya! *hug* I loved Gilmore girls but never got to see the last season. Let me know what happens and who ends up with whom, ok? (just send a PM if ya can)
Heidi-hope things are going well *hug* and you have done fine and have alot to be proud of. Shedding weight is difficult because we have to eat every day. Not like ya can just go cold turkey and stop eating all together. hang in there and remember the wedding is about celebrating the love of two people. I think it is great that you will be there and be a part of their special day-enjoy being a part of things!

I've been dealing with some emotional and physcial things (not to mention financial) and not coping so well. The scale was at 296 this morning and it scares me that I am so close to 300 again. So I am back on induction today and doing my best with a clean slate of a new day.

Hope July is a good month for all of us.

woke up with a full blown nasty cold, which might account for all my emotional issues earlier in the week. Night is phase one of three nights of wedding parties. the clothing issues alone was making me nervous as heck, but I am feeling ok now, and I am feeling more accepting of myself today.

Carol, I have gone to "designer whey" for "breakfast", in my current frame of mind, if I ate a breakfast it would trigger over eating. It has worked as a stop gap measure for a couple days, and by mid morning, I can have some raw veggies as a snack. I am really keeping my mind OFF gourmet food, which I cannot control portion size on.

Laura, I hope things level out for you soon, you sure have had a rough patch, but you have handled things well IMO. I am glad you are drawing a line and not going backward. How strong and couragious you are!!!

Hi Ladies. I'm here...went to Tampa with the family from Sunday to Tuesday night. DS4 smacked his forehead on a dresser in the hotel and we spent Monday evening in the ER in Tampa... It never fails. I - idiot that I am - ended up off the wagon. I am struggling to recover... I DO want to lose the weight, so I DO have to get going with it. Last night I went to the movies with a friend. Saw "Sex and the City." Sarah JP makes me a bit sick with how thin she is... The clothes, the shoes, the lives those girls lead... And then - not to give away things, but when Samantha arrives at an occasion sporting just the smallest bit of a muffin top they all act like she's 1000 pounds! What's with that? More later - my DS needs to use the computer. Love you girls!

Carol,
Linda Sue's recipe for this egg custard has saved me many times. I put it in ramekins so I don't need to worry with portion control:

Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes

I do add extra cinnamon. Each morning I heat mine in the microwave and it tides me nicely til mid-morning snack.

Great breakfast. You could eat some bacon with it too!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Heidi, hope you have a wonderful weekend. I know you are going to look wonderful.

Nikki, your day sounds like alot of fun. Be sure u use sun screen

So good to see you posting Carol. I sympathize with you on the knees.....I have always said God did excellent job creating the body but really needed to put a bit more effort in the knee area. Ya know , something like a lil trap door so we could add cushion when needed.

Laura, hang in there sweetie. You are going to make it thru this. Its just a passing. Make today a new beginning!!

Hot T, Gettin, Kim, Skeoople and all that post here today, hope its a wonderful day for you all. I have a house full of pple that are still asleep but things will get really busy when they all wake.

I have heart issues now so I will be changing my diet. I hate it, really have no clue what I am going to be eating. Breakfast without eggs just doesn't suit me one bit. Any ideas??

Hmmm, breakfast without eggs is a toughie. I've been known to just have turkey bacon...but that's not much of a breakfast - and there's a lot of salt. How about an eggWHITE omelette with veggies?

I have no idea about breaky without eggs. Perhaps something that has eggs in it that you can sub the regular for the whites? I am sure Linda Sue or some other site has plenty of ideas about that.

I may have just found my saving grace. I tried the new chocolate cherry diet dr pepper, and it is a winner. IF I overlook the fact that every drink is killing brain cells and prolly why my eyes are bad and I get headaches and the like. I really need a chocolate fix and the fake chocolatiness is quite nice. I look at it as kill a few more brain cells now and lose weight or fall to the chocolate demon and pay the price later. I cannot risk it and buying Walden Farms chocolate dip isn't going to cut it when I have to pay $4 for that little jar. Probably more than that now with the prices of stuff going up again.

All I can say about Gilmore Girls is that this 4th season has me happy/mad. I finished the last disk and I can tell you, I am not happy with the HOW things happened to turn out, but I liked the WAY they turn out. If that makes sense. And it makes me nervous. I have 3 more seasons to go and let me tell you...... A lot can happen in 3 seasons!

I must say that I like the eye candy that is Dean. Wow is he cute. I looked up about new season this year, but figured out through pics (heck got to see him online too ) that they announced season finale. Whether that was last year or this one, it is apparent it comes to an end. I figured it had to seeing as Jared (Dean) is on another show.

Cliffhangers. Stinky holidays. I cannot wait until Monday! That is 2 days away!

Yesterday was off the charts change the subject!

Hi Ladies ...

Cindy having this baby really generated Four flights in all from FL to RI and it was so time consuming and the last one tired me out but they needed the help so Grammie C to the rescue.

I just could not even think of me for a season but it is all over now I am back home and nicely back to my own way of life here in FL which I like a lot.

FL has a wonderful layed back lifestyle whenever I go north I always see...moving here was the best move I have ever made.

My pain reliever...

The warmth feels so great on my Arthritis too!

Oh you know Arthur Ritis he came ** never leaves**...

Oh well nice to be back ... I have got to learn how to be a long distance Grammie and can't wait until Emelie can talk we can use the web cam it should prove to be different but fun just the same.

Sharon I really like the idea and recipe Thank You very helpful I will be trying it this coming week.

Laura...

June sorry to hear of heart issues...I have them so I do eggbeater omelettes with different flairs such as western or california or plain cheese and use eggbeaters on my recipes like meatloaf and baking. once I even made a sort of egg salad with them. I know how creative you can be

Cris let me know if you and any of the girls gather ?
Hope your DS4 is doing well. Kids are like the ocean waters they can't stay still. I must say though when mine were young I seriously limited their carbs and they were less stimulated but bright if you know what I mean...cause LC does breed energy...which is why I need to do induction this coming week to cleanse my blood stream.

Thank God fo Disney songs I keep hearing...

"Just pick yourself up dst yourself off and start all over again.

We are picking up my sister at the Orlando Airport this afternoon so maybe some of that Disney Air will get inside and help me start all over again.

I just have to do it!

Have a Great Day love to all who follow here

Good morning friends!
Heidi I hope you are feeling better!
Carol your pics are beautiful!

I have been on plan with no cheats for a month and I was determed to stay on plan yesterday. All day I was good then come dinner time I gave in and had my bratwurst on a bun and some chips, 2 mixed drinks and 1 smore. I thought for sure I would wake up this morning and gained a couple of lbs but I weigh the same as yesterday, I'm very thankful! I am back on plan this morning! I hate that we have all these left over chips and smore makings in the house but I must be strong!

So how did everyones 4th go?
