spring has been late coming this year, i'm still waiting for the ladybugs to come out...when they do i want to give my younger students little jars to catch and make into ladybug homes...we run an all-day summer program for students K-6th to attend, state licensed childcare on school premises, and we are district employees

slow day today and i am still exhausted, i think it's just coming down from being so busy this past week....baby has been in his terrible twos today and wearing out hubby, who just got back from a work trip ugggg

at least its quiet now and baby's asleep

Good Morning all!
Skeople I sure hope those grandbabies are ok and feel better soon.
Zer, I guess we went to 30 yard sales yesterday. I didn't spend 1 cent. I don't ever buy anything unless its an item I can really use. I am trying to declutter so I don't buy knicknacks or cute things. Hubby and I both enjoy the thrill of the hunt and we are on a mission to find our Daughter an inexpensive kitchen table and chairs. I must say I have found many useful and inexpensive items over the years.
I am still on track an am going to grill some extra chicken and pork today for next weeks eats.
HAGD!
Jean

Good Morning.

Hey Zer its on the recipe formum then the second thread is KevenPas recipes

Zucchini Snacks
hope this link will work. its the first section of the list that says zucchinni snacks. its just baked with egg/parmesan cheese breading.

Well eating pork rinds didnt seem to hurt me I am down another 1.5 pounds for a total of 14. I should hit my first goal next week at this rate. I have just 6 more pounds to be to my first goal...YEAH.

Last night met with the neighbor, she belongs to the Y and I am going to check on joining and we will go together in the evenings...once my health allows me to exercise. I am dreading the CAT scan tomorrow..i hate drinking that dang barium crapola. wonder if it has carbs LOL...HOPEFULLY the LAST test I have to have...i am sick of tests and hospitals.

Hope the grandchildren are ok SKeople, it always upsets us when the kids get hurt. I had 4 kids, and they had several stitches, one broken arm, and various bumps and bruises that active kids get..but it was never easy to watch.

Have a great LC day everyone.

Vicki

Thanks, Edna and Jean. Overnight the skin on Madeline's face hardened up so Mommy has to take warm damp washclothes and slough it all off before putting the bacitracin back on. Doc said it's mandatory to help prevent deep scarring. She does not want to sit in warm bath. The rest of her body is much easier to take care of than her little pretty face. Her eyes are swollen shut today. Jonathon is much better than sissy, talking a lot about the dog that ran in front of them. He is taking very (gently) good care of her!

It looks like Spring is finally here and I'm excited knowing I am going to be healthier and slimmer by this time next year............and my grandbabies are still alive to play with.
Praising and thanking God, for sure.

As June begins, I am reading The Book. Have it handy bedside. Can always find something "new" to highlight and incorporate into my growing LC body of wisdom, as I labor to eat up to my BMR:2423cals - no matter what! - even if it seems to make me show occasional upward bOunCes that freak me out.

May shows a 6# loss, after a lot of ups-downs as I wooed my scale to give me a good report. Just data, as we all know, but one hopes... wishes....

This morning's weight is 402.8 - not the lowest weight recorded for May, but it will have to do as I mark 6# gone forever in May and start work on June's LC plan to get rid of all my 400# flab and start on my 300# flab.

June is MY MONTH!!! I'm committed in eating to my BMR:2423cals and to fueling my body as I correct past damage done to my metabolism.

Jonathon was on behind and he had minor scrapes including his right eyelid and forehead. Madeline has road rash on legs, shoulders, and arms. HER WHOLE FACE HAD THE SKIN SCRAPED OFF FROM THE GRAVEL, not to mention swollen eyes and one black one. I know it could have been worse but I cannot explain the feeling that overtook me when I saw her in the E.R..........It took us a good hour to get there, we prayed on the way. They have to wake her tonight, each hour, to make sure of the concussion thing. Mommy had to hold her while they cleaned out the stones and dirt. I might add that Mommy is two months along with baby too. Our son was a medic in Iraq but it's not the same when the baby is your own.
Sorry for rambling. Trying to wind down I guess. Thanks for listening. I'll update sometime tomorrow. (Their auntie that was driving has multiple injuries as she tried to put herself between the kids and the road; LOTS of road rash, pulled muscles, head bumps but they released her tonight.)

Deb-------thank you for the pretty message! Mommy got them both in the tub this morning and is currently re-applying the antibiotic salve........also trying to keep her hair off face cuz those tiny hairs want to stick.

We'll see them a bit later and this grandma is in for some BIG hugs

Ya wanna hear something weird about me? In my past, I'd have used this trauma to eat bread, pasta, etc.......I don't even have the urge to eat legal, much less illegal. I am in control.

my official weigh in for the end of may will be tomorrow.....the scale is at school and i dont want to act any more obsessive than i already do by going in today on sunday to weigh in LOLOL

those pooooor babies getting hurt wow thats awful and the face is always the hardest to take care of too give her great big hugs momma and baby for me

my older son has managed his share of injuries, all just a hair shy of going to the hospital for stitches every time LOL ....when he was two, he tripped and gashed right between his eyes on the corner of a huge piece of hard plastic which was RIGHT AGAINST the wall...i have no idea how he actually hit it between his eyes but it healed and the scar is gone now, he's now 10

this year he managed to run RIGHT INTO a giant concrete lightpost in walmart parking lot, breaking his glasses and giving himself the worst black eye/side of face that i've ever seen on anyone...ii thought he broke the bone beneath his eye but he didnt

then this year he decided (without permission of course) to stab a hole in the top of a soda bottle with a knife...missed...and stabbed straight THROUGH the webbing between thumb and forefinger and then he panicked and yanked the knife out.... he was soooo lucky that it healed up without stitches and didnt leave a scar

Hi all. So sorry to hear about the little ones who got hurt! I hope their healing goes well and takes just a little while. I've been to the ER so much with my twins that I swear they have a room reserved for me! Usually "just" sick - but the last time was a staple to the back of DS4's coconut. Its SO hard with kids!

I am back on track, all. I am not weighing for a while - know I did major damage - and can still tell water-retention wise. Maybe I'll weigh after two weeks of as strict an indiction as I can stand. Nice to see you all!

Popping in to say Hi as we all start another month on this great WOL.

My dad left today after a 5-day visit (I love my dad; he's 81 and lives 3 states away). While he was here, I continued to eat cleanly and this A.M. even lost another pound. For some strange reason I cheated this afternoon, but I've already moved to the proper stuff, even packed my lunch for work tomorrow and have planned this week's meals. The carby stuff left after his visit will get taken to work tomorrow and given away.

I am excited to try the coconut oil. I found it on the Vitamin Cottage website and it was under $6.00. I should have it by Wednesday. I hope it works for me!!!

Hello Everyone,

I have not been around since March...been busy with my new man. We have been married for five months now, enjoying life.

Going through the Mayo Clinic to get a handle on myself, have the metabolism of a "Slug".....having to become an excercise nut to drop weight, need to do it for health besides my husband is a "Motorcycle Affecionado" want to ride with him.....without having to post "WIDE LOAD" on my butt.

See a lot of new faces, hey Y'all....

Will try to check in more often....thought I'd hit this thread before it has 40 pages to wade through.

Blessings,

Patty Ann

Good morning everyone.
Hi Patty Ann! Welcome back!
Sharon...sounds like you are really pumped this morning.
I am not.....sorry to be a downer.
I am still battling this body of mine, trying to figure out why I am not losing.
I have upped my cals to my bmi level, added co and I am seriously considering adding drugs to routine!
I lost 4lbs in the first 2 days after bumping my cals to 2200-2500 but then gained 2 back....again! Same story as before.
I am eating clean. No franken foods. Not overloading on fats, have even stopped using the co, but still no loss.
I am also losing the desire to eat. I guess I feel that no matter what I eat, I am not going to lose so why bother....
I don't know what else to do.
So, I wanted to post my fitday journal for some criticing. Maybe if some of you pro's that have lost from the 300's and 400's can look at it, y'all can help me find the problem?

Morning Everyone!!

Skeopple, how horrible for those babies. Hope everything goes well with them. Accidents are always bad but when it falls on babes, its just so upsetting.

Zer, hoorah for those 6 lbs.

Jean, my daughter is a yard sale groupie and has learned that she can't buy all the good deals she sees. I guess one might say she is a recovering addict

Wishing everyone lots of weight loss for this month of June. Double weight since its Gemini month.
