i love cats...aaaaCHOOO....im also pretty much deathly allergic to them...i've developed a tolerance for it over the past three years because i'm constantly exposed to a low level of cat hair LOLOL with my antisocial cat...thank GOD she doesnt want to be snuggly and cuddly....she's got an attitude and you can tell she knows she outlasted our dog, who recently was placed for adoption with the animal shelter LOL

i'm rather proud of the fact that i havent done ALMOST anything today....i rarely do just that lol....i didnt sleep well last night because it was too hot in the house...someone (hubby im sure) left the heat on and even at a low temp it still makes it reallyyyy hard to sleep and while i'm in that half-asleep, restless sleep stage i tend to have out of body experiences etc. and feel all run down by morning....

when i lived up north and hubby-at-the-time (now ex) was working a late shift, i'd often sleep but really be rather wandering around the quiet and dark house while my body was in bed...i'd watch him come in from work and toss all his stuff around the house like men tend to do (wallet etc) and in teh morning, when he couldn't remember where he put something, i could always tell him where it landed because i watched him do it....he was very good at accepting me the way i was, where as most ppl would just think i'm nuts

so anyhow i napped alot today and i feel like i ate alot but when u add up the calories, it wasnt over my allotment....maybe i didnt add right LOL

had fresh salmon straight from the village today, they shipped it air cargo this morning so it landed on the airliner and we got it, baked it up for dinner mmmm

Fresh salmon? First trip I make when I can fit into an airplane seat? Alaska!

I've probably never had fish that fresh. I grew up eating generic fish, heavily breaded, as fishsticks. No bones, not a lot of taste. The idea of living where fresh salmon is available is almost incredible to me. I'm glad that you got it, enjoyed it, shared it with us.

Envy? Yeah, but consider it highly motivating. What else would get me on an airplane, would make me WANT to sit on an airborne 'bus' full of sardined folk sharing armrests? Only the notion of having fresh salmon. Nummy! Thanks!

Hey, did you see Tazcat's 15:15 thread? We're doing it again next Sunday! Check it out - and plan on joining us for a frenzy of cybersupport housework!

395.8 today...finally under 400#...first time in forEVER!

395.8 looks like a good loss for June, after a very bOunCy month. If it holds, I shall claim a 7# loss for June. Tomorrow morning's weight will set June's loss.

Dehydration? Probably a factor. I drink a lot, but this heat really pulls a lot out of me. And I'm not able to access food easily, so my eating is down - a lot. In heat, that's all right, as appetite diminishes for me when I'm poaching inside my skin. Today's eats? Not sure. Maybe some HB eggs, some tuna-no-mayo. Did that the other day and found it tolerable. Tuna in olive oil with Mrs.Dash to season it, not a bad way to snack through a day, all day long. I can DO this!

Well, we all know that I can bOunCe right back up. I was 400.6 on Saturday, barely ate on Saturday and Sunday, drank as much water as I could manage, and was not able to get myself any food. Leg is better today, so I am planning on cooking up some HB eggs and opening up some tuna to munch on in my room today. Eating might throw me off. Drinking to replenish dehydration can do it too.

So, tomorrow morning's weight will be the official loss for June. Let's hope! This has been a particularly resistant month, as I have worked hard to eat up to my BMR:2423cals when I was able to access food. My lack of mobility keeps me from getting too far from bed and bathroom. I consider rest - and toilet - more important than going too far to find myself food. Appetite is secondary to a desire to retain some dignity, as people bustle around me and seem disinclined to take note of my struggles. That's just how it is. Sigh.

I read your other post talking about this...what is it? Where is it? I NEED all the help I can get but you know YOU were such an inspiration to me the other day when you posted about needing to find ways to move.

It really hit me that I need to be thankful for what movement I can do and push myself daily to get that movement in. There are so many people for whatever reason that have such a limited mobility that I needed that as a reminder to stop feeling so sorry for myself and MOVE!

I have been EVERY day since! THANK YOU!

Zer,have you ever thought about getting one of those little refridgerator's like they use in offices or college dorms??? You could keep your hb eggs and stuff right in there, right next to your bed!

They come in various sizes.... a really small square shaped thing and a taller more retangle shaped.

I bet it's all that energy aimed at me that gave me the strength to get to the kitchen, cook up a pot of eggs, open a couple of cans of tuna in olive oil. Sweated like a pig at the effort to stand up for the 15mins that it takes eggs to cook up, but I never tasted anything as fine as a HB egg with a bit of salt on it. Peeled and ate one as soon as I got back to bed. Put 3 HB eggs in the fridge for later or tomorrow. They are chilling while I'm enjoying the warm eggs that came back to the room with me.

Four eggs. Two cans of tuna in olive oil, plain, doctored with Mrs.Dash Garlic-Herb and Lemon-Pepper (to take up the olive oil and lift the tuna to a new high plateau). Bare basics. Just to get solid food into me. Going to eat some BranCrisp too, to give me a bit of bulk. Nothing fancy. But protein to keep me going and enough bran crax to help mo-o-ove things along nicely.

While I was putting my eggs into the fridge, I snagged a frozen pack to put on the back of my neck, to cool me off. Feels good. Wrapped in a towel to protect my neck from the frigid gel. So nice to cool down after pouring like I was actually working. Just standing, waiting for eggs to cook. That's all. It had my hands and arms so wet and my face and hair totally wet. Hope I burned a couple of calories while I was doing that for, like, a half hour. Not a lot of time, actually, but sure felt like a workout to this weary old bod.

Thanks for the good wishes and for the energy to make my way down the hall, into the kitchen, to collect some food and find my way back to bed.

NO I wasn't and apparently I should be sorry I didn't! I can't wait to see what you do! 8 trees OMG.....!

Last year we didn't even put a tree...no decorations or nothing. I had been feeling like it for a few years and then last year was our first w/o my granddad. My granddad was more of a dad to me and my daughter then our own dads. He was the rock of the family!

EVERY year I hit the clearence sales to buy some decorations that get packed away and never put out. We have a nice collection. We live in the boonies so no one would really see it but I KNOW this year I dont' want to be a scrouge!
