What a beautiful bride, Des, and I think it's wise to plan on having a planner to handle any silly stuff that might be challenging on your Special Day. Enjoy!

Wonderful to think of you as happy as you look, as happy as you sound now!

Zer - I hope your package turns up, and I hope you don't mind me telling you this - I know I have no right to - but please don't give in to bad eating over all this. If you charged the stuff, I'd call and have my charge disputed since you never got the stuff. I've only dealt with Netrition once, but I bet they will be good about it all... And, if you do "stop payment" (essentially) they'll look into it even more thoroughly.

I am the queen of stress eating...please don't join my "court" of sillyness!!

i feel like i'm getting better at eating only when hungry...i think my calories have been a bit less because of it...im also working at a new school with the people i WANT to spend the summer with and its wayyyy less stressful so im able to focus more on how and what i eat and not just stress-gobble LOL like i did for a week back when....

i caved and made mac n cheese for my dinner, which was late because i worked til 745 p.m., drove home, put the baby to bed and got teh dishes soaking in the kitchen and THEN made it but i only ate until i wasn't hungry and put the bowl aside even though some was still in it...i felt very aware of what i was putting in my mouth, which is unusual for me even when i make good choices...and i enjoyed every bite of it and put it away when i wasnt hungry and i was proud of myself for that, even if the food in question wasn't a wise choice

we have inherited a teenager for the summer, hubby's niece is 14 and has been having a difficult time of it in the native village up the coast...not a typical teenage angst, but the victim of an assault by a trusted person...so she's going to try life in the "big city" with us this summer instead...this was decided yesterday, she flies in super early tomorrow morning

Summertime teen rescue...perhaps a helping hand for you too?

You are so kind. This shift can make all the difference to a girl who feels victimized and then (perhaps) an object of too much pity and/or curiosity. Hope the perp is being handled properly. Can you find her some work? Even at 14, she may be able to help out in some way. Wonder if she will turn out to be a relief to you, as you juggle your summer's work and housework and helping with small ones from families who look to you for relief when their hands are too full. Hope she is all right. So glad you are gracious enough to find room for yet another in your home. You're an angel!

Hot, thank you for suggesting this. If Netrition decides to send a 2d pkg, it will not be until early July, probably. That charge will not be billed until mid-Aug. Good thinking!

You are right. My bank will correct things so that I do not have this $100 charge to pay for, if I get it lifted before month's end. I'll give it a week, for the tracing that Netrition will initiate on Monday 6/23 and the response by UPS to that request by a vendor who pays BIG BUX for delivery. I'm sure a customer like Netrition will get MUCH more attention than I've been able to bring to the matter. No sense in me paying mid-July for a 5/30 order that went astray on 6/9 and that is now developing into a muddle of a mystery. I still expect the box will 'turn up' as a discovery in that school office that has been searched at least once to no avail.

Years ago, a "lost" UPS pkg from my dad showed up when I told the mailroom supv that I was filing a claim. No one had much bothered to look for it until I said I was filing a claim. It came into a work mailroom, was signed for by someone and then never got to me on the 2d floor - until I filed for its loss as an insured pkg. All of a sudden, it was "found" - and brought to me as an open pkg, by a mailroom employee who (rather oddly, I think) made off with the box itself after I took the contents out and expressed my doubt about how the pkg had been opened by anyone. Wasn't until she had left my work area that I realized how unusual it was, her removal of the box itself. So I have observed how a "lost" pkg is not a Big Deal until it prompts a trace.

Thanks for helping me to see that I can reduce my credit card payment by $100 for mid-July, if nothing turns up before June's end-date for billing.

I tasted what must have been sugar in a meatloaf I ate the last two nights. Odd, sweetness in a meatloaf. I gather it's got some BBQ sauce in it. Of course, the cooked cabbage also tasted sweet to me, sweeter than the handful of diced tomato in the cabbage would seem to explain. Maybe I am just more aware of sweetness in anything. But I hate to think that any actual sugar was added. Anyway, I went ahead and ate the food, rather than stop and seek out a dish that I knew for sure was sugar-free. I did skip all the bready-starchy side dishes, including a sourdough toast or fried bread, and I skipped the fresh fruit dessert too. I'm dodging some carbs, even in my distressed state. I'm not totally wasted over this situation, just not taking care to fix my own food when there is a meal provided. This week, our meals are at home instead of being prepared in the school cafeteria, so it is tempting to partake of what is served up buffet style. However, I can still substitute my own food, if I have it prepared and ready to eat.

Got to cook up some eggs, which I am now eating out of hand, saving my mayo ration for fishy-mayo mixtures. I do enjoy a HB egg as a snack. No reason that I cannot keep a bowl at the ready in the fridge. Just DO it, right?

Des, that's a gorgeous dress! You look great!

Cris, one of my biggest regrets was being a fat bride. I guess I weighed around 350 when I got married, and I hate that I didn't lose the weight then. Our 10th anniversary is in 2011 and we want to go to Jamaica and I have this fantasy of renewing our vows on the beach where I can wear a slim white gown.

I wish I could dream of that...my wedding is still a year away, they took measurements yesterday but they can alter it and bring it in if I loose any more. Just dunno how much more I can lose, so much of me is skin and I just have to 'deal' with that. Beyond that I'm not a petite girl anyways. I wear size 10 wide shoes!

I weighed about 255 when I got married - thin compared to where I went - and where I currently am. At 5'9" I just plain need to be in Onederland...However, I am becoming more accepting of the journey to hopefully 175 when I get under 200... Like Des, I just know I have a lot of skin and (unlike Des) I have a horrible stomach situation which MUST be addressed. It totally prevents me from doing many things. I'd exercise more if I didn't have it. It is like a giant tumor stuck on my body. I've recently considered seeing if a surgeon would do 1 tuck now and 1 tuck later... This stomach makes it hard for me to exercise - to walk - and wearing pants or shorts is just plain out of the question... I have to admit, I am very upset and depressed about this part of my body in particular. I can handle the big boobs, the flabby thighs, and even back fat...but my stomach makes me an eyesore - a freak show... I just have to lose this weight and get that stomach fixed. Period.

Mycattaz, July 1st??? What is more independent that getting that weight off. What a special weekend to get it done. Maybe that is sign!

Deb...bailed on my curves appt. I was feeling really sorry for myself. Scale was up 1.9oz and it is just too soon for a gain! Ummm, later that day though I took care of the 1.9oz PLUS some...TMI...I didn't feel constipated but either must have been or 11 16.9oz bottles of water cleaned out more than I thought! Anyway I was always told I was "full of it" and since I was 343.4 yesterday and 340.5 today....I guess they WERE right!

Zer, I always felt UPS was better at package handling then usps or fedex but in your case, NO way..you need get right w/ these people. There is NO reason they are not bringing your packages to your door. Don't you let a bunch of screw ups , screw up your thinking. Just keep in mind the day you can walk to the school office and meet the sucker for your package and give him a face to face piece of your mind! You can DO THIS! You ahve too many friends here and too much support! You are true inspiration to us newbies PLEASE DON'T FORGET THAT!

All you married ladies.... remember a wedding is just a day, just a start of something so much bigger! The important thing is you found guys that accept you and love you for WHO you are and what you look like. Forget paying all that money for a redo... take your hubby and you thinner body and redo the honey moon....with you new found flexiblity! Take it from a single lady that has been single ( due to not letting anyone near w/ this weight on)way too long! too much focus goes on weddings and not the true love and meaning behind them. If you made it through weight loss and 10 years married you should be glad that you and YOUR spouse both knew and know that. Remember part of weight loss is NOT looking back, looking forward!

Des, I am new here....Glad to meet you! If that is fat all I can say is I PRAY I am as fat as you are some day! AWESOME dress and your man sounds like a true keeper. Do you have before pics? I was readign your stats and would love to see them. Where in your weight loss journey did you meet Jeff?

Have to say that price kinda killed my mood because I KNOW I will need skin removed and have no idea how I will come up that kind of money but I just want to feel good in my skin for once in my life.

Alaskan: That is AWESOME you are going to take her in...you could end up saving her from so much just being a friend and inspiration to her. That is So cool!

this is true and I would check into that! I know my Doctor told me that i would probably be covered under insurance because I have type 2 diabetes. Diabetics are known for all kinds of skin problems and having folds rubbing together would just increase the chances.

I dont' currently have medical insurance so I haven't checked into it.

THanks for the suggestion that I might be able to get it done...even before I'm close to goal - hard to get close to goal when exercise and mobility is troublesome. I have to go to the doctor in a couple weeks - I will bring it up then.

I'm talking about a 10th anniversary celebration with a renewal of vows. I want the dress...I want the "ta-da" factor involved...and I'd like my kids to be part of it. Of course, I don't have an extra $10K - but maybe then I might?!?!?!? In any case, I'll be throwing us a party - why not glam it up?

I can handle the big boobs, the flabby thighs, and even back fat...but my stomach makes me an eyesore - a freak show... I just have to lose this weight and get that stomach fixed. Period.
You've seen my naked pics, my stomach issue is 'there' I just don't dwell on it as much....

On that note, Jeff tells me every day that he loves my body, thinks Im sexy and he wouldn't love me any bit more if I had my operation to remove my skin. Our wedding will end up costing probably about the same as having the surgery would....

but if HE is happy with me and loves me for who I am....WTH you know? Why should I stress over it and say oh no, I can't marry you until I think of myself as perfect. That will never happen ANYWAYS. He loves me for me, I'm happy with that.

Have to say that price kinda killed my mood because I KNOW I will need skin removed and have no idea how I will come up that kind of money but I just want to feel good in my skin for once in my life.
I still feel like I need my skin removed, I'd love to be a size 8-10 (im 12-14 right now). I still weigh 190 lbs...but plastic surgeon says 20 of that is skin.

It should be fun, we're having an evening wedding from 7-12, the sun will be setting at 7:30 right during the ceremony. Perfect

*laugh* I know right??? I've never met a guy who wanted me like this either, it's funny. When we started our 'streak' business....after a camping trip where he was gone for the weekend...there was only one day that we did anything just to not break our streak...and even then we were really into it after like 2 minutes if that *laugh* every other time, just happens. I've never met a guy who can go like he can either.

Today is 1 year and 1 day before our wedding date. We're taking tomorrow off work for our pre-anniversary day We're going to see if we can go 10 times in 24 hours *giggle* We're silly though.
