Hey Gang,

Just checking-in. I find the more I stay connected to this place, the more determined I am to eat clean and do the work. It's been well over a year since I really tried to fight my way back to goal ( and low-carb) and I'm actually enjoying the nervous excitment of induction ( what a loser eh? LOL) Theres something about those first days..hopeing it will work..being nervous about the fat..missing the carbs..

But it's all good. I'm here...I'm on day 3..and I feel good.

By the way..I'm so enjoying seeing my "girls" faces again..I've missed Cheri, Melly and Chel very much!!!!

this is it in a nutshell melly.. since i quit my second shift job and got a good day job.. its been much more like 50/50.. he has them half time and i have them half time.. this year alone ive had them about 85 days and hes had them 40-50 days.. so im having them more.. he started dating this girl in January.. shes only 28 and she has 2 kids by 2 different daddys and doesnt have custody of either.. she got out of jail in January after pulling 2 1/2 years.. needless to say its NOT a good thing.. he has gone from being a good dad to a horrible dad..he never calls the kids.. takes his days off and goes to see his woman.. is planning on moving.. well i have had them FULL time since April 20th when he up and called at 715 one night and said he had to leave town and left..

i have the appt with the lawyer because i am going after primary custody with him having visitaiton and im going for child support.. we have always split things down the middle .. now hes 2 1/2 mos behind on mandys braces. (his part which we split) i had to reschedule their eye appts at least 5 times b/c he cant pay.. i pay their lunches, school supplies, clothes, medicine, dr appts, everything.. he never pays me back..one day their lights were even cut off.. he has fleas in the house and wont do anything about it.. he has a sewage leak under the house nad the house stinks to high heaven.. hes cut the older kids phones off as punishment for NOT helpin aroudn the house. the kids dont wanna be over there..

they are stressed out, sad, upset, depressed and HURT that he would choose some girl over his kids.. he got money out of his 401K and told me he was gonna just pay his half of the braces so he wouldnt have to worry about the payment (this is after he told me 3 times he had made a payment and i get the statment and he owes over $250) he took that money and sent it to his girl for her daughters surgery.. cant get his kids eyes checked or braces paid but can do that! ?????!!!! this woman has him wrapped up one side and down the other.. his parents friends pastor everyone has TRIED to talk to him .. hes a different person.. hes totally blinded by the enemy..

so.. thast it.. i worryabout my kids.. i cry at night b/c i remember what it felt like for my dad to choose his life over mine.. my dad and i have reconciled but its hard for him he lost my brother and missed out on so much and Bill is doing the same thing..

so i need prayers and support and good thoughts!

Ugh. I am soooo tired and sore! My knee's about the size of a graperfruit (no exagerration) and my back and feet are killing me.

I realized today, though, that I really need to work on my core muscles - that would help me so much. I slouch really badly, and haven't really tried to regain muscle tone since I had kids. Even overweight, I always had good abdominal muscles before. Kai's turning 5 at the end of this month, so I'd say it's time!

I'm going to start out by doing planks and push-ups and such. Just start slow. I'm thinking I might just try to do a few sun salutations in the morning, too. Standing for 8 hours straight, no lunch break or anything, is absolutely killing me!

Hippie try a balance ball. Just sitting on it helps the core muscles and makes you sit straight. Just make sure you dont sit on it after taking a bath and not being quite dry.. (dont ask

I had surgery on one of my knees when I was ten. It mostly doesn't bother me - maybe hurts a little when it rains, stuff like that. But it's incredibly inflamed - has been for about a week now. It's so swollen that I can't bend it at a 90* angle.

I'm working at a local grocery store; also covering in their deli a lot because the deli manager and one of their full-time deli people are both gone for the week.

Employment laws in Idaho allow employers to work you straight through, no lunch. I'm working 8 or more hours a day - all standing. Thank God I lost some weight, or I'm sure this would be even worse. I'm certain my weight contributes a lot to how hard this is proving to be, since I've waitressed and bartended (and even worked at this same store) before, and it's never been this bad! I've also never been this fat, though.

WOW, sounds like you need to move to a state that allows you to get a break! That's horrible. Will they pay for your hospital bills when you keel over?? I mean, I certainly hope you don't because THAT would be horrible. I thought labor laws were pretty consistent throughout the country.....well take care of that knee girl......we need you in one peice.

do you know the tapping sequence?? i'm sure that it would help with the swelling.

Kim, ice the knees when you get home to get the swelling down. Anti inflamatories might help also. And I agree with lucki get them puppies taped before heading into work. Even support hose to keep the blood circulation and water retention down. Drink lots of water so your body doesnt think it needs to hold onto it so maybe the swelling with be less. Find a man to give you a good foot rub, back rub and well ... just find a good man

yea we are melly.. he has totally flipped..

well the lawyer went well .. as soon as i take him the mula he will file the papers in about a week or so.. he wants to hold off about a week to show the pattern is over a month now..

he doesnt think bill will fight.. i hope he wont.. he doesnt have the money to pay a lawyer i hope since he aint paying nothing else..

we have to do mandatory mediation.. hopefully we can settle it there..

i will be paying him monday or tuesday.. im freaking out.. ill be ok!
