Well I have an answer but not really the one I wanted

The doctor took one look and the balls of my foot and knew exactly where to start pushing.....I almost went through the flippin ceiling!!!! OMG it hurt!!!! So he starts telling me what it is and I finally ask him if it has a name and he said some name that I totally cannot remember but said that it was basically tendinitis but really really bad tendinitis. He said that I need inserts in my shoes and they made an appointment for next Tuesday to cast my foot to make the inserts. Then it will be another 2 weeks before I get them.

He made me a "make-shift" insert by taking some padding and tape and wrapping my foot with a device that I can remove and reuse until I get the inserts.

BTW....the inserts are $500 and most insurance companies do not pay for them. He is having the girls in the office get it pre-authorized and is pretty sure that my company DOES pay for them

He said that this is not something that ever corrects itself or goes away but that hopefully with the inserts I can avoid a ruptured tendin and surgery.

Like I said.....none of this was what I wanted to hear. I was hoping for a cure and the comfort of knowing that it would get better and go away..... NOT!!!!!!

Oh well....it could be worse....it could need to be amputated

My SIL is doing well and sounds really excited and encouraged after her gastric bypass surgery. I am really happy for her and I hope she continues to do as well as she has so far. I know it is really important to her to get the weight off. She is a big girl and still very confident but I know how much she wants this

Melly....sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear but then again is it ever?? the inserts should help. did he tell you to do any type of stretching exercises?? i'm surprised that it isn't plantar fasciatis. but then again maybe it's a good thing too.

i'm goin to bed.....i'm exhausted.

I am pretty sure it was my medicine that made me all silly feeling today. My balance was a screwed up. It wasn't like I was drunk it was worse. I felt like I was buzzing last night. I would lie there but couldn't sleep and thoughts were flying threw my head. I would close my eyes and feel like I was still moving. I am feeling a bit better now. I also can swallow without it feeling like my throat is on fire.

Talked to lucki last night. she was still driving to LA. We are supposed to try and meet, but I am waiting for her to call. I don't wanna horn in on her family and daughter time. If I don't hear from her tonight, I will call her tomorrow AM.
