Hi Jennifer it is so good to be posting again I have missed you all.
Tanicka...I think the amount of carbs and calories you eat will not register as much because you are taking care of your family. June and I prolly have slower metabolisms now in our later years (opps did I say later years) forgive me June LOL so we get away with far less than you. I can't eat more than 20 - 30 carbs to lose weight at 40 I stall. ![]() |

I have actually been doing net carbs some and it's working ok. Usually I am right around 16-20 net carbs and 20-26 total carbs. Londyn is adorable of course and loves her MeMe very much! Here's a couple of recent pictures--she's 14 months old now and smart as a whip. Just as soon as you get a picture of Emmie post it! I can't wait to meet her either! Kim, she is adorable
Is that an Easter egg in her lil hand?? She is just too cute!!!Carol, June's metabolism is non existence!!! It died 10 years ago. We are definitely in our later years. Went to pilates class last nite. I always feel so much better when I do. I am a bit sore this morning but its to be expected. Now that the weather is getting warmer I hope to go 4 times a week. No more excuses!!! Gonna get my hinnie up and go. I checked the cal chart and to maintain my weight I can consume 2800 cal a day. Geesh, I shudder to think how many I have been eating!!! I am going to have to decide how many I should eat each day. I hate math!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful hump day ![]()

Hi Everybodeeeee!
Just opened my laptop and went to the favorites list and there you all are listed as A Nice Bunch of LC Friends...one click and here I am it is so nice to have time now that the too busy for me March has passed. June you are too funny...yes I hear you we are menopausal gals who have to work our butts off to burn a pound of stored fat guess the good part is that we are here making the serious attempt ![]() ![]() ![]() Londyn looks wonderful what a babydoll and ![]() the two pacifiers great for her... my kids named them... zu zu's I can just hear them some 30 yrs ago mama zu zu and man alive did I ever let them get all that that they wanted ![]() I had no hang up with that at all but when I hear some young moms today I stay silent ![]() Counting was something I always hated in the past but it is a sure sign of something changed cause I do count now without any issue. I try to stay 1400-1800 cals and 20- 30 carbs and 30 to 60 min in the poolnow for weightloss we shall see when I get there I get there I have really cooled my heels on the scale I get on about every 10 days and that is fine I lost the first 80 lbs pretty consistantly but now my brain is doing something with my weight that science does not yet understand. ( I think our brain monitors absolutely every thing that goes out and in our bodies and functions on our behalf for our own not understood good) I have a beef with science and this is it...what is more important curing Obesity or wasting billions on less important programs like space. I say straighten out life here earth first ![]() OK I am off he soap box now I will get my things to do list and be back when it is cleared for today. Love and well wishes to all here ![]()

Oh a passi.......Gotta love the passies......Mine always carried an extra one too. I remember several being in the baby bed, just so if one was misplaced while baby was sleeping, baby could always just feel around while still sleeping and waaalaaa, there it was
Silly grannie that I am, I have saved a sippe cup and passie frm each one of my grands. They r in a cabinet in my laundry room and I have such gentle feelings each time I open that cabinet Nuf of this......lolCarol, glad your back in the pool. I find it hard to keep my calories below 1800. From the chart I looked at I can lose if I keep cals below 2000. I am going to strive for 1600-1800. Posting all I eat on Fitday. Going to the Y 3 or 4 times a week. We are going to get there dear lady ![]() |

Hooray KIM!!!
Carol, I totally agree, the space program should wait, but I think fat people are so stigmatized, that we get swept aside , which makes no sense and no progress. so so day here. At least I have figured out why I have been feeling so awful the last few days, another period just started, a week after the last one (sorry for TMI). I am just WIPED OUT and cranky. beginning of menopause??? GRRRR the worst thing is I just want to EAT, to eat compulsively (sp) and it felt really hard to resist sweets last night. I wound up having a diet soda, to get that sweet fix, which is sooooo not me- but thank goodness I have a couple cans on hand for emergency sweet tooth needs. My dh left for a week in NYC, on business, and I feel like eating a loaf of bread, but I am not going to. ![]() Kim, I am so impressed and dazzled by you success!!!!! ![]() I hope you all have a great rest of the day!!! ![]() |

After a few carbier days, yesterday I DID make it the gym and walked 3 miles! It was great to get back there again after staying away all during Spring Break. Today is my first full day back completely low carb... and I am facing some temptations again, but I'm NOT giving in! Today's Menu: B- turkey on oopsies (6) L- pepperoni slices, diet soda (2) S- meat of some kind and veggies (8) TOTAL=16 carbs/8 glasses of water (maybe walking to park later = 1 mile)

Hi everyone!
EdnaHeidi - Hope you're having a better day today & that the spots are nothing serious. My DH is going out of town for 3 days week after next & I've been thinking how nice it would be to binge my head off while he's gone. I won't do it, but I totally understand the feeling. Top it off with hormones and it can equal disaster. Good for you for not giving in |

HI everyone. Just a quick check in and then I'm off to the gym...
Today's Menu: B- turkey on oopsies (6) L- pepperoni slices, diet pop (2) S- 2oz.cream cheese (2) D- fajita salad (6) TOTAL=16 carbs/8 glasses of water (walking about 3 miles at the gym later) MY PLAN: I am on Induction today and plan to be through next Wednesday. At that point, I am going to Florioda through the following Sunday. Food is provided as part of the conference we're going to, but I plan to make lc choices whenever possible and bring along lc snacks. AFTER I return, I will stick to three days of the Fat Fast before returning to extended Induction. At that point, when I stall, I will use three day chunks of the Fat Fast to give my body a boost. |

Afternoon Ladies. I am soooo glad tax season is done. Well of course I still have two that filed Extensions
but there's a little repreave here.I'm just bloody tired I tell you. I'm not sleeping well and I know its a combo of stress and all this weight I'm carrying. I've actually awoke feeling like I'm gonna die soon if I don't lose some weight. I have no motivation though zilch. I don't want to LC and I can't seem to eat healthy and count calories either. I just need to pull my head outta my butt and just DO IT! We were watching some home videos last night of Christmas's in years past when my son was a baby. DH says "Wow look at you, you were skinny" Doesn't he realize how that makes me feel now??? Oh and by the way I was in No way skinny but I was about 50 lbs less than now. Anyhow enough complaining. Im glad to see everyone posting. Heidi, tell us the news from the Dr. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Carol - 10 days till baby Watching my son crawl around in those baby videos last night really made me miss the baby stage. Its so much fun!I'm excited for you and can't wait to see pics. Laura - How is the new life coming along? Tanika - Any more news on Hannah's heart? Mask - have a Blast at the conference, I alwaays loved the retreats we went on. June, Edna, Jennifer and all else ![]() Im tired and going to go rest for a few before starting dinner. ![]()

Hi Ladies, and a special welcome back to CAROL!!!
I've been MIA - but I am back again. I've had an AWFUL day. My kids are all trying my patience. DS4 is getting into trouble at school. Pushing, kicking, refusing to work - this is all in the last 2 weeks. His teacher is kinda pushing to put him in a communication disordered class with a teacher:student ratio of 1:3. Now, that might sound super - but to me it is a great step backward. Matt doesn't need that restrictive an environment. I don't know what to do. DD4 just lost her 3rd baby tooth - and now has 2 adult lower bottom teeth - at 4 and a half! And, to round it all out, DD10 has been pretty much found out - for stealing $30 from our sitter/nanny. She will not admit to it - but amazingly had exactly $30 hidden in the toy chest in her room. How did she GET $30? Well, she told me she found $10 on the ground last week and AMAZINGLY found another $20 on the way home from school today. Now, COME ON! If it was that easy, I wouldn't work - I'd just walk up and down the streets collecting money. So I'm a bit stressed. Yet, I'm back on track with eating. At least right now. There's no ice cream in the house (I ate it yesterday), or I might be eating it right now. Pray for me, Ladies. I think I'm going CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
