I LOVE the idea of cruising with y'all - just a few things stopping me:
1. Money
2. My kids - that's a long time to be away from them - even though they will be 5,5,and 10 at that time...
3. The cruise leaves on my 7th wedding anniversary. DH might be a little miffed!!! lol
It would also be really hard for him to feed, wash, dress, and get kids ready for school in the AM like that.

I have every intention of getting together with people someday - just not for that long and not that far away. We could all really do some damage to those midnight buffets, however!

If it were another time (summer...) that could just be our vacation, however... I'd bring the crew with me!! That is, if we could find the $$$.

the money would get in the way for me, as well (although today I am ready to leave the kids ) also extreme social nervousness, makes group meetings scary for me.

It could just be a small group Heidi--from what I've seen it's just a regular cruise that they've chosen to try to get people from various LC boards to attend. I think everyone is free to do what they'd like on the cruise.

I'm going for sure and would love to meet a few of you! I understand about the money and the kids, for sure. It's a 10-11 hour drive to Galveston for me, but I've done it before and it's not too bad.

Really sounds like it would be fun. Be sure to take pictures so we can see all the fun we missed Just flew for the first time in Jan(loved it) Have already started planning another plane trip. Dont think the budget can manage another big trip. Only if only I could win the lottery

As cruises go, it's really pretty inexpensive. An inside cabin for a 5 day cruise is $400 all inclusive pretty much.

I would have to fly to Tx, which is far for me and prolly $$. I like the idea of a cruise. DH and I used to go to Mexico every year for our anniversery, but since having baby #2, we haven't gone. I may look into to it, since dh travels all the time for work, and my son goes on a big trip each summer with my mom, and I NEVER leave the dang house unless it is to work. I should just do something crazy and let them all fend for themselves!

I'd love to go on the cruise, but I'm going to NYC with my sister and a friend for spring break next year. Two trips within a couple of months may not work out $$ wise.

I'm not far from Galveston though, and would love to get together with anyone driving through Houston. You can even stay with me so you don't have to worry about a hotel room the night before the boat leaves. (Right now I'm only about 40 miles from Gal but we're moving this summer & depending on where we end up, we could be as far as 80 miles away. Houston is freakin' huge! )

Hi All Everybody !

My pool is almost 86 degrees...I have no capability to be cold in water but as I said as soon as it reads 86 I am back in and

will work on losing another amount whatever I can until the water is cold again in the Fall sooo I think I may have six months to burn off some more and heaven help me cause I sure need help .

I had a wonderful time going up north to see my DD prego 9 months now. It was just wonderful to be wih her we had a really nice visit.

I needed to do something for her I wish she lived here but she doesn't so since I can't drop by with food to help her out while she is in her ninth month...
what I did was while I was there I made her some homemade Chicken Noodle Soup with Chicken breast chunks and a batch of Tomato Sauce and forty Meatballs...I divided it all up into freezer bags and froze eight meatballs to a bag with extra sauce so on a night when she is exhausted she can have a quick and easy meal for her DH and herself...

when I go back in May to meet my grandaughter I will do some more home cooking for her then she can have more time to aclimate to being a mom and nursing the baby.

On April 28th at noon she is going into "Women's and Infants Hospital" at noon for a preset C-Section and so I ask that who ever believes in the power of prayer whisper Cindy's name for a safe child delivery for her and Emelie

I will refer to my grandbaby as Emmie from now on.

I never knew having a grandbaby could be such an emotional experience is flowing.

I will try to do some reading to update. here is a picture
describing how I feel hope to quiet down as soon as I hear that Cindy and Emmie are fine on the 28th not too many more days.

Susan must havehad hr baby by now does anyone know if she is finding time to post?

How is Brenda doing with her new job and her new car?

I miss you guys and will be posting here now except for my final trip north on May 9 to 12 to be with family for Mother's Day.

I have to lose more than my stalled at 80 lbs so it is going to be lose or burstit is great to be back!

Carol- Susan posted once in the 300+ thread. Said she is doing well, but busier than a one armed paper hanger. Thats my terminology. Amounts to the same. Two lil ones wear you OUT! lol. I was lucky that Dylan was 4 and I could have mini snoozes when I needed them. I can't imagine having one younger where you have to be up all the time.

Tanicka Thanks for updating me

A baby girl ?? do you know her name??

I guess she is very occupied I had two but seven and a half years apart so like two only children. DD is 28 now and having her 1st baby and I am so gosh darn excited
for her because most of our family moved away from home and she could not because her DH wants to remain there.

So the baby will be lots of company for her and keep her busy I sure do remember those days I never thought they would end but...they do and the offspring do move on and you have lots of time again only now you will be very grateful for every blessed
minute you can call your own.

Lots of

Tomorrow morning back to LC eating way of life.

I missed you too, Carol! glad you visit was nice, I know I valued having my mom around, so much, when I had my kids.

I had a really stupid, stressful day, full of little niggling things- and my daycare provider doubled her rates!!! I just use her really part time, but man- the same day I get asked to work full time this summer. great timing. grrr
then some things I ordered came from a company I usually really like, from India, and the two dresses were totally screwed up, the measurements were wayyy off and one of the dresses looked like a hospital gown. I just wept, because I have been feeling so ugly and so guilty for being fat, I really didn't need to have the world's least flattering piece of clothing.

I ate ok, not perfect or great, some peanuts snuck in and a couple slices of cheese. not my finest day, not my worst.

Welcome home Carol, you were missed. Glad you have your pool again, I know how much it helps in keeping flexible.

Heidi, sorry you had such a stressful day!! The dress sounds horrid. Can you send it back? You may feel ugly dear lady but you are definitely not ugly. Your picture tells me different. I think you are a lovely lady inside and definitely outside too! TAke another look kiddo......a real close look. You are very attractive. Now SMILE!!! OUCH on the doubling of the rates. That is really a bad thing to do to someone.

Heavens to Betsy sweetie you have to put on your sexy black dress and see what we see wOw what a knock out!!!

Heidi I just get so frustrated when I see something and mail order it and the fit is all wrong...DH gets so upset about the return postage he promised to take me out shopping once a week and he doesn't hit the bench he helps out with some real tuned in attention...imagine

I find the foreign sizes do run different from American and ours are not nationally the same or universally the same either.

Now I can just imagine what they would do with me in a petite asian nation OMG they would have to charge me for three dresses

Day care is something I know nothing about here I go trying to learn grandmaring is that even a word

My daughter and her husband are working tow opposite shifts to avoid the cost for now but I am sure that will grow a bit lonely for them. Although my sil works ten days and then he gets five off.

How sad was the day in America when a second and sometimes three paychecks became mandatory!

I know peeps who don't make much on one job so they have to work two jobs

We are going to get there Carol, one day at a time but we are going to get to goal. I have 4 grands, Elizabeth just turned 20 , Ashley will be 14 in July, Jonathan will be 12 in June and Andrew just turned 2. You have heard it before, Nothing can prepare you for the first glimpse of that grandbaby. Someone once told me that grands are twiced love and I never understood it till I saw my first. Its the relove of your child and the love of the grand. A new beginning of life that is extention of your child and you.....At least that is how I see it. I have to wonder how its going to feel seeing a great grand for the first time...Hopefully that will happen before I am too old to know and remember

Hi-
Carol-yes, I'm back in Georgia and life is going good and getting better every day (working on making life GREAT and that will happen with time-still job hunting, still unpacking, still healing)

Heidi-you look fabulous! I would love to be where you are (and one day before the end of the year, I hope to be there!) I know what you mean about clothes not fitting and being a downer, though. Can you send the dress back? I can't stand it when a dress looks like a mumu or a tentmaker made it. I want some lines and curves in the right places and for things to fit and look nice! Hang in there! *hug*

Hope Arlene is well and things go smoothly since today is April 15th.

June-KUTGW!

Hi to everyone!
