Cheri,

Congrats on your journey! I am only so sorry that you have had to suffer like you have this past year. You mentioned before that you osteoarthritis. That can be dealt with effectively with vitamins. Both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis can be significantly improved with vitamins. If you are interested, you can start on the following vitamin program. If you don't, that is up to you. Here is the arthritis formula that works wonders...

Vitamin B3 - niacinamide. Take one 500 mg tablet four times a day. If that does not work after about 3 months, then up it to two 500 mg tablets four times a day with meals.

Vitamin C - take two 500 mg tablets three times a day with meals. This is the lowest dosage recommended. Dr. A. Hoffer states in his book, "this vitamin is essential for the health of collagen tissue and intervertebral discs in the back, and it tends to relive low back pain." I personally take 10,000 mg per day. Some people take ten times what I take for things like cancer.

Pyridoxine (B6) - Take 100mg - 250 mg per day. B6 is fatal at 2,000 mg per day. If you wake up in the morning and you do not remember your dreams, then your b6 is too low. IF you wake up from a deep sleep and your eyes are wide open and you are awake and dreaming vividly, then cut back on your b6. The proper dosage is dependent on you and what your needs are. DO not exceed 2,000 mg a day.

Zinc - 50 mg per day. This mineral should be used with B6. They work together.

Vitamin A - 50,000 iu per day

Vitamin D3 - 5,000 iu per day

Calcium/magnesium - calcium - 500 mg three times a day with meals. Magnesium 250 mg three times a day with meals.

No nightshade plants. No bell peppers, no tobacco, no potatoes, no tomatoes.

You won't see miraculous results over night, but over the months ahead, you will notice a difference.

For anyone who has that moment when death looks better than life and came close like Cheri did- don't do it, Call The Distress Line call a close friend/family. Get someone to be with you. Very rarely do pills work for you in that way because doctors don't make them like that anymore. It doesn't take one type of pill to do it. It will however make you very very sick. So sick in fact you will call 911. They will put you in the psych ward on restraints with cameras on you. From that moment on everything you do will be watched and monitored and written. Its the most humiliating you've ever been through. You will be so heavily medicated you won't know who you are anymore. You will be treated like a psychiatry paranoia schizophrenic not to be trusted crazy. Your weight issues will be treated secondarily in the psych ward as weight is not a problem. No one in a psych ward has a weight problem. They have bigger problems like bi polar and mental breakdowns and other serious mental conditions. Cheri was lucky her son walked in and changed her direction of thought but if he hadn't she would have lost him to foster care. Please anyone who has thoughts like that pick up the phone and talk to someone and get help.

Cheri, I cried reading your beautiful post. Thank G-d, for your little angel who woke up and needed his mommy to sleep. I know it saved your life. So grateful for you and low carb friends, although I am very new! Blessings.

Thank you for sharing. At this time in my life I have 100 lbs to lose. I have completely killed my metabolism by Hoyt dieting my whole life. I have NEVER been this heavy and the person I look at in the mirror is NOT me. I must find the happy, fun-loving girl I used to be.

I have three children and one of them is a 9 year old boy. I can't imagine not being here for them. I did this to myself and now I have to undo it.

I've done Lindora and Atkins in the past just not sure where to start this time. Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks again
Traci
