Now you made me cry!!

In the last thirteen months, you've ALWAYS been there for me! You look wonderful!!!!!!!! Keep looking at those pics!

On a typical day, you hear..." we can't log on, we can't post, we've lost a recipe, we can't cook, how many carbs are in.....?" Or there's, "who booted me, where has so-and-so been?, how do I get one of those cute symbols?"

LORD KNOWS sizing an avatar shouldn't be in the 'rocket science column', but for many it is!!! WE moan and complain to you about: hair loss, weigh-ins, hidden carbs, net carbs, lost passwords, ketosis strips, diarrhea, fat jokes, flirting, sore muscles, too much exercise, not enough exercise, bad breath, and ....

Is this sounding familiar? Can any of us imagine patiently answering those questions thousands of times and still sounding polite, and kind?

None of this is about who loses X amount of pounds in X amount of weeks. Cheri, FINALLY you told us AND showed us, that this stuff they call 'Inspiration' is about a journey.

We're so lucky to be traveling with you!

The pictures are amazing, and you look great! But I thank you even more for your story. I have been at that "awful place" of not wanting to live anymore. The last time was a year ago this month-- the day before I started Atkins.

I have not seen posts from you before (other than those related to the "business" of this web site); and believe it or not, I just saw you as an "administrator" and not someone who has ever known the struggle of trying to lose weight. I am so glad you shared your story. It is inspiring to me, and obviously to many others. I wish you continued success.

Cheri, I have read your success story over and over again. I just want to say how happy I am that you decided to post this. I didn’t know you very well (and was actually afraid of you… I can get a little unruly and I didn’t want you to boot my butt!) but now I feel as if I do.

So many things in your story touched me. First off , you never gave up. Even though you had all those medical problems you keep going. I think a lot of people would have just felt sorry for themselves and said “screw it� and would have kept taking their meds.

I know about seeing yourself but not seeing yourself. That’s why I think it was so hard for me to see pictures of myself. I never really thought I was that “big�.

For me there have been quite a few times in my life I thought seriously about making my exit. I was so depressed and miserable I could not see any other way out. Like you, I started Atkins and came to LCF and have changed my life.

You are a very special person. You are so sweet and kind and you deserve to have the kind of life you want.

Cheri, I felt like you were posting MY feelings. Wow! I never would have guessed that you had gone through something similiar. When I first joined this site a number of members had been accidentally "inactivated". I was one of them. I felt so "regected" because I didn't know that it was an accident. I sent you an e-mail stating that I couldn't log on and you helped me. I realize now from all of the posts that you are just that kind and helpful towards everyone. But, for someone who was too shy to do anything other than lurk and whose self-esteem was too low to reach out to others in RL this board was the only thing that helped me connect (even if I was only lurking and giving congratulations and smiley faces here and there). I had never joined a board before. It was HUGE that you helped me. It let me know that the people on this site were caring. It let me know that I was welcome here. It let me know that I mattered.
