Losing 100 lbs by November 2008 - June
Lose 15 lbs -- which will put me in Onderland
Reach my 100 lb loss when I get to 206 lbs Walk 4 times a week Ride stationary bike 3 times a week Drink 100 ounces of water a day Stay between 25-45 carbs a day Eat plenty of veggies Only have two planned higher carb meals. Post regularly and support my Divas And a planned reward -- New hair style, get a facial and some new makeup Hoping to also fit into a couple pair of shorts that I bought in a size 18..... Ready to rock and roll Divas! -- I gave away all of my 3X - 4X and most of my 2X clothing today. No turning back now. My closet is the barest it has ever been, but I am not shopping for real until I reach goal weight. I have 2 dresses (both very loose), 1 skirt (loose 2X), 4 capris pants ( 3 are loose 2X), 3 shorts(2 are snug), and 3 pants(one baggy and 2 snug) --- so most of my wardrobe fits okay now (nothing fits perfectly) --- do need some new underwear to tide me over for 40- 60 more lbs. I have gone from a 40 C bra to a 36 B-- good grief.... now, just wish my butt would disappear like that... ![]() Gotta get in bed, but will check in later today. Have a super Sunday!

I had told you guys about the cardboard testimony thing - here is a link if you're interested. Good timing b/c we are all confessing our messes and how we ended up overweight. For me, I think my mom was a big key. Well, my whole family, really. Extremely dysfunctional, but we didn't really look it, so it was easy to fake. I ALWAYS felt like I was from a different planet - I can look back now and see how I began to distance myself and make myself different from them b/c of this - I guess to somehow make sense of why I felt so different from them. I think that I honestly wore myself out for so long trying to fix things to the way they should be - to the way I needed it to be. It took a real toll on my health, my energy level, my goals, etc. Something I'm trying to work through now is not being angry about all of that! Another thing was that my health has never been great - and my weight has always fluctuated a lot. It has always been easy for me to gain weight. I NEVER felt that my parents modeled for me or helped me to become who I was to become. I was different, and although I felt love from my dad, I almost felt jealousy and DEFINITELY disapproval and rejection from my mom. That makes me sad. My mom was really good at some things - our house was always really nice, and she worked full time and her marriage wasn't great, and she always had a nice meal, but I don't remember much REAL time w/ her. We're extremely different, and even now, I struggle w/ my relationship w/ her and my dad - still hurts - better, but still hurts. But seriously, she would make pork chops, and have 5 tiny ones for her, me, my dad, and my two older brothers. I never felt like there was enough food, as sad as that sounds!! When I started working as a teen, I went crazy w/ my own money and bought fast food all the time for me and my friends. Even now, I always way over-estimate how much food to make - I'm always afraid to have too little, especially if we have someone over to eat, etc. Anyway - that's my little blurb - I think it is good to get in touch w/ what we feel about this kind of stuff. Have a good night girls.

Alright. That scale is a b*****. I've been off it for two weeks and all I ask for is to be under 270 when I get back on it... it's a lousy 3 lb loss. Instead I'm laughed at, IN MY FACE, with a rather unplesant 272.4. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! You wanna play nasty Mr. Scale, I can get NASTY! I'll show you.
So my plan is: still step it up with the veggies. Cut down on the LC ice cream and cut down on the nuts. For now I'm thinking 1 LC Ice cream bar/week and 1oz nuts/week. My Menu (including last night at work): 1 oz macadamia 1 oz wasabi and soy almonds few pieces of peppered beef jerkey brisket one minute muffin and since today is shot anyways I may go ahead and eat my last ice cream bar. Tomorrow school starts and I get to hit the gym! Yeah!!! I'll go ahead and get my work out clothes ready. ![]() |

Welcome Diana! It is never too late to join. We are glad to have you with us!
Jenn, have fun in the gym... that is going to be so good. I have got to step it up with my exercise this month. Trying to plan for the week food wise. Have plenty of broccoli, cauliflour, pork chops, hamburger patties, boneless chicken breasts, bacon, green beans, sf jello and cheese on hand. May have to make a run to the store for eggs, lettuce, sliced ham, cream cheese and cabbage. Thinking some devilled eggs, pork chops and green beans for dinner. That will wipe out my egg supply. That may be a chore for Monday evening --- Been feeling very lazy today and am gonna have to get off my duff and take a long walk after dinner. Hope everyone has a blessed week. |

Abouttime: Welcome back! (although I think I joined after you strayed?
) We have almost identical stats and goals! How exciting for us!!!Peachy: I see you!!! Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great picture!!! WE WILL MAKE OUR GOALS THIS MONTH! There is no stopping us (not even a certain sadistic scale that resides in my bathroom closet...)... we're all in this together. We're gonna be amazing! I hope you're some kind of psychic and those numbers do drop in June. If I continue to drop 1 lb a week it'll be at least 3 years before I can "evaluate" my final weight... Fancy: I'm actually looking forward to the energy lift I'll get in a few days or in a week. Last time I was working out I couldn't sit still for longer than an hour or so. Then I had to GET UP and do stuff... clean the house, hang out with the doggehs or whatnot. I'm looking forward to it. (and when I get down to 250 I have an elliptical in the house so I'll be able to work out even when school is out!)Skeople: Welcome!!! Cara: That video was sweet. I'm glad to know we all have skeletons in our closet that we're all dealing with. I'm a firm believer that as long as I keep mine in check that I'll be able to keep the weight off. We'll see, anyways! Fancy: Congrats on getting rid of your big clothes! I can't wait to thin out my wardrobe. I had wished to be a size smaller by now... but it's June. I'm stepping it up. Turtle: Welcome!!! Congrats on the 50 lb loss. I'd say I'm in a stall but I'm losing about 1 lb a week. I need to lose 2.5 a week to lose 10 lbs a month which I think is a reasonable goal (although I'm having screaming arguments with my body about this concept... brain and body disagree... body is winning... brain is not happy!). It's gonna be a GREAT JUNE everybody!!! |

Yes, SlimD, Make It Happen Monday it will be.
I didn't post yesterday, weekend was swamped, but I did weigh in at 241 lbs on the head, only 7 for the month of May, but fine with me. I kept gettin on and off the scale looking for 239, but darn it! My goal for June will be 10 plus the 3 I am behind in May....13 lbs. I guess I am not that upset for two reasons. 1) I feel I had a few cheats here and there which stalled me, but they were worth it. Yes, I am changing my WOE, but as long as I am losing, I am happy. 2) TOM is sooooo near. This weekend I stayed clean at the Brewer game, except for one beer and I couldn't pass up a strawberry margarita at the game. Yesterday, I ate the skin on a piece of Walmart chicken breast and my husband and I shared a bag of popcorn last night....not a good dinner. Today, well today is another day and a clean start. Breakfast- 3 sausage links, 2 scrambled eggs Snack-broccoli Lunch-hamb patty with provalone, 1/4 c cottage cheese Snack-broccoli Dinner-salad from somewhere, fried cheese Lots of water. I'm taking FF menu and food choices and I'm going to see if I can have a huge JUNE. I even bought some rasp ice crystal light to help with that last 48 oz of water. Have a nice day, Cindy Oh... welcome newbies. Glad you are here! |
