Good Morning to all of you.
Well I made it a mile on the mill last night.....finally, but it may have been a bit much. That and the bye bye machine which has left me with a sore arm and elbow, but it will work itself out I am sure. FF, I knew it was coming. Congratulations on all of your hard work...you so deserved that! Jennifer, Keeping it below 200 huh??? Great job. I can feel your much more positive attitude in your post. Bet you are feeling much better and much better about yourself. You are such and inspiration and help guide us with your ideas. Your accompishments, as Magics are unbelievable! Jenn, Love your post girl. So much in common. You keep busy as I do, no doubt about that. I feel I get a lot accomplished in a day, but working out 3-4 times every week has become my priority. Good Morning
Ok I think I am kinda getting out of my sick funk, I got my hair done well did it myself bought a new shirt 1X I still have this cough that is so not sexy but oh well. Tues and Thurs. are my double work out days but since I need to ease back into my routine I will jus spin this afternoon. Yesterday for dinner i ate the inside of a calzone peperoni and cheese and ricotta cheese and a garden salad with ranch it was good. I figure I will stay away from the spare ribs and egg foo young to see if the scale actually moves. Funny think is my hubs told us that we never dressed like that, but we just wanted to remember things from the 80's. I love 80's music. Insides of a calzone sounds yummy SlimD. I'm trying to think of new meals. Today's menu: Breakfast, 5 sausage links Snack, handfull of nuts Lunch, hamb patty, cheese Snack, handfull of nuts Dinner, need veggies in here, so probably a big salad with tuna and cheese Slacking on my water again. I thought the inside of a calzone was good but I see that the ricotta cheese in the inside is a lil higher in carbs that I anticipated, from researching its about 7.5g/ cup and it had mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, and I just peeled the bread away and ate the inside with a salad and some ranch dressing. I am tryin to eat more eat to my BMR to see if this helps the scale move that and all my exercise. I need to focus on the middle section, I dont mind the hips really its the muffin top that has to go now! I am slackin in the water department too going to fill up a liter now to get it poppin ![]() |

Congrats on making it a mile. Just keep inching it up till you get where you want to be... then you'll have to inch it beyond where you want to be... I'm having to skip the workout today to study. but I think I'll exercise Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Sun to make up for it. Just a few more weeks and this class will be behind me!SlimD: I'll bet those calzone guts were good!!! I'm with you, if my Muffin Top were nonexistent I'd be a LOT happier with the way I look (but man oh man would I look funny!!!). Sorry you still have a cough. It'll go away! Promise!!! I'm bumping up the veggies for me to see if that helps. I just spent 60 bucks on a TON of veggies... so there is no excuse for the next week! ![]() Off to study chemistry and tonight I'm going for tutoring... it's kicking my tooshy and I need serious help!!!!

I'm 223 this morning! That's five off this month. I'm inching my way towards the century mark but at the rate I lose it will be July at the very soonest. But that does give me a goal to keep me going (and behaving myself). I'm doing the tredmill a little more each day.JennB..Thanx for the tea review. Usually I have a hard time resisting pasta, but this time I'm feeling strong.

were awesome!!! Its so crazy that you spend 60 bucks on veges and its so much cheaper to eat crap it amazes me ! Chai: yeah thats what I mean the tummy muffin top, i never use to use the sayin until you really look at it is like a muffin a low carb muffin HAHAHAHA so corney. I dont mind my butt or hips of course they can be trimmed but I will have more of the coca cola shap if I bring the mid section in a few more inches. MEG: 5lbs. SlimD: One of my favorite LC things to cook is breakfast burrito guts. I haven't had it in a while, it might be time to make it again. Yum yum!!!

A change to my "how LC and exercise have changed my life so far" list.
When I say I can go upstairs without getting out of breath, I forgot to mention I can go with speed! Zooooooooom! Taa daa!!! In sad news, I had to sedate my Chy Chy and it breaks my heart to see her drunk out of her mind... but it's storming here and she asked for it. It should be out of her system by tomorrow so I just have to babysit her tonight. ![]() |

I sure wish I had the energy (and joints) for the WO's you do, but I'm just a walkin' on the tredmill, trying not to hurt myself. I was a good girl last nite...I didn't get the spaghetti...just the meatballs..made without breadcrumbs. As for muffin tops, I probably have the biggest one here. I've lost 92 pounds and a lot of it was a$$. My belly wants to stay big. I'm shaped more like a man than a woman these days. My waist is 43 and my hips are 45. I'm hoping that now it is time for the belly fat to melt...actually I have lost 1/2 inch off the belly this month so I'm hoping that trend continues. I'll get into ab exercises eventually but first I have to build some endurance. I'm coming from total couch potato 55 years old and 150 pounds overweight so....it's a long trail back...but I'm on it and doin' it. |

That's right Meg...you are doing it and doing it WELL! It's crazy how we are all shaped so different. I am bigger than you but my waist was measured at 39 inches at my fitness assessment, then there are the hips which they did not measure, but I would guess they are like 2,555,267,543 inches around or something like that. Somehow I got sqeezed real tight, and fat went and lived elsewhere in my body, which is why I am so misproportioned.
Today is WORKOUT WEDNESDAY! Let's hear it SlimD! Tonight I will spend 60 minutes at the fitness center and work my behind off (or those hips). Have a nice day all. Cindy |

SlimD...I'd like to try elip some day. I'm surprised it's easier on the knees. That could be good for me. My problem is my hips. How is elip on the hips? Took me 8 months to lose 80 pounds. I did it on Stillman's and then I added veggies to that and watched my calories. Somewhere around 1,500 a day. I then stalled for about 7 months (really I ate just enough calories to maintain about 2,100)...then got serious again this year. I been low carbing for about 16 months and know I will have to be eating this way for life.

Meg: Yeah the ellip rolls like in a circular motion therefore taking the direct pressure off your knees. I am not sure how it is on the hip but try it and if its too much then stop ya kno. I just started at the end of april I am still waiting for my big woosh, I think with all the exercise and too few carbs and cals it just wasnt working. So I am eating more that should help. I was also speaking to a trainer today that says you have to switch it up a bit because your body just get use to it, I think I will walk outside then just do the ellip a few times a week and then my classes/weights. I do that 5-7 times in 5 days so I think I need to keep movin on the weekend, maybe walk somewhere instead of driving.
It feels good I was in the gym today and this lady came up to me and said I just want to let you know you are looking Great ! Can you believe that !!! It was amazing i so need to buy new dress pants |

I too have not lost much since I started working out a month ago, but I do see and feel the diff, so as long as I know it is doing something, I know the whooosh will hit. One of the personal trainers told me that my body will need 1-2 months of adjustments. The elliptical scares me and looks exhausting. Some day though. Oh, and you spin? Holy cow, I watched the class in session once and needed an oxygen mask just looking in. Good for you!Cindy |

Meg - My hips actually hurt when I was walking a lot. I haven't had any hip pain since I've been using the ellipticals.

I Miss You All!!! Test tomorrow so I'm off to study after a few quickies. I made veggie boxes for me so I'll know how much to eat in one day. Each one has half a cucumber all cut up and ready for munch, 1/2 bag of sugar snap peas (thanks Chai! that's my new favorite! I can't quit munching them!) and 4 stalks of celery. Also, they shut down Zoca's on campus for the summer so I have to find an alternative for lunch. I ate chinese food today b/c I didn't feel like trekking across campus to get a wilted salad from Einstein Bros. Yesterday Menu B: Atkins shake S: Veggie box (1/2 cucmber, 1/2 bag sugar snap peas, 4 stalks celery) L: Can of chicken with 1 tbls helmanns and 1 tbls horseradish mustard (good! try it!) Salad with ranch dressing D: Chicken breast (couldn't eat the salad, too full from eating veggies all day!) Todays Menu B: Atkins Shake L: Steamed veggies with kung pao chicken and black pepper chicken S: Veggie box D: 1.55 hamburger patties with low sugar ketchup Salad with ranch... or maybe spicy ranch... OhMyGod! My syrups just came in!!! I feel like it's Christmas!!! And the bottles are huge!!! Chai - you must have needed a forklift to get all those bottles into your house!!! Crazy!!! I only ordered 4 bottles and it was a huge box and they were heavy.
