Got 9.5 hours of sleep and woke up at 204 ---whoosh... I have lost 102 lbs now. Went right past the century mark and it feels great! Some of my 2x shorts are loose now and the 1x is working. Plain on xl and some l tops are working. I cannot believe how good it feels.

Went to Goodwill a few days ago -- bought 1 pr shorts, 1 pr pants and 9 shirts for less than $45. Some of the shirts are a little too snug, but in a few weeks will not be. Now I have made the century mark, I am heading to Onderland.

Gotta run, everyone is waiting on me.... but I will be back to get caught with reading all of your updates. I love this board and want to see how all my Divas are faring. Have a great Father's Day everyone!

Happy Fathers Day everyone. Yeah, we're all chicks... but still... Happy Day Anyways!!!

Fancy: Congrats on the whoosh! and super congrats on the century mark. I'm very happy for you.

Sorry to be lazy but the rest is cross-posted from my journal. Mr Bathroom Scale is the villian in my weight loss story and I'm sooo upset I'm tempted to use my superpowers to throw him into the lake so he can malfunction and fish can laugh at him. Grrr. Grrr I say. Grrr.

Mr. Bathroom Scale is no friend of mine. Today I weighed in at 269.4. On the upside (and there is ONLY ONE upside) I'm still under 270 so that's an accomplishment. On the downside I've gained 3 lbs (I'm not counting the tenths because it makes me sad. Just round with me.)

Here is where I think I went "Wrong" this week.
* I've been working out. I'm sure everyone will say this gain is in muscle mass. My pants aren't fitting any looser so I can only say I don't feel smaller.
* I slacked on my veggies. It's been a long, stressful, crazy week. I eat what and when I can. I think I'll set a goal of a bag of green beans a day for the rest of the week.
* I ate a big heavy dinner last night. I wanted some fajita's. And if you've ever had Jalapeno Tree's El Dorado Jack Fajita's you'd crave them too. It was a LC meal, it wasn't even close to cheating.

Here is what I plan to do this week.
* Still work out 3+ times this week. I feel good. I'm not giving this up. I'll get to 250 eventually.
* Continue to eat as I have been. I'm going to up the veggies again.

Hope you're having a better weekly weigh in than I am! Jenn

Hi everybody,

I'm doing O.K. and determined to eat on plan. I know that for everyday I eat on plan there will be a reward which will show up eventually. I'm inching up my tredmill time everyday. I'm taking it slow 'cause I dislike pain. So far so good..no pain.

JennB....Good to hear the tea is caffeine-free. I'll be interested in hearing your critique of it. Sorry about the weigh-in Jenn..but it could just be water balance, especially since you had restaurant food. That tends to be saltier. Good idea on the green beans. Filling up with veggies works. hope the next week is not so crazy for you!

Fancy!! Wowee-wow wow! You done did it! big Congratulations...You da bomb! Your success makes me believe I can do it,too! Don't ya just love those 1x's? That's great.

Everybody else...have a great Dad's day. Type to you tomorrow.

Hi Everyone! So amazed to read about everyone's progress. Yay Divas! Jenn don't sweat the scale, it will come off -- Some weeks are harder than others to get the veggies in....

Just in the last couple of weeks, I have started eating tuna once in a while. I have never cared for it in the past, but now it is the most wonderful thing. Also, blueberries have been my saving grace this past week. When I wanted to munch, a few berries did the trick.

Meg, you are right there with me.. I can feel the century mark coming for you next. Way to go!

It is amazing how many posts since last week. Still got a couple more pages to read, so if I miss someone, please forgive me.

DS is still napping and I am trying to get lots of chores done, so we can head to the park when he wakes up. Thought about grilling out, but am gonna pick up some salad fixings and a rotisserie chicken instead -- lots of drinks in the cooler and go find a shady spot at the park. DS loves to feed the ducks, so we have that bag ready to go too. Just want him to get his nap finished or he is a bit too cranky.

I will be back later and read some more. Got to get another load of laundry going and hang some clothes up. Ta ta for now.

Alrightie. Here's what I've learned today. When you start an exercise routine your body goes into starvation mode and it'll take a while to realize that exercise is going to be a regular thing. And I was warned that it may take 3 months for my body to adjust to exercise and not lose weight. I *guess* I'm okay with that. It's not like I have a real choice. I want exercise to be a part of my life for the rest of my life and I want LC to be a part of my life for the rest of my life... so if they're gonna take a while to warm up to each other and become friends... I *guess* that's okay.

Thanks Peachey, Dianne and Everyone!

Cindy, I am looking forward to the pics too. Hope you had a great 80's night!

Chai, how do you like the Wii Fit? I have read so many rave reviews and have thought about investing. Does it help make exercise fun?

Slim, glad you're feeling better.

im still so excited about the size 22 pants i was in a size 26 for ever and they were gettin real loose so i tried the 22's and was so happy to see that they fit. I have lost 139 pounds and Im finally showing progress
Wow Magickal! 139 lbs. Super, super, super! Congrats on those 22's also. You are doing so wonderful and you continue to motivate me! Thanks girl!

Just thinking how different the holidays will be this year (Thanksgiving and Christmas).
  • I will not be dodging the cameras
  • Will have a glitzy outfit or two
  • Will enjoy a party or two, or three, or four....
  • Will be on the dance floor at the annual staff shinding

That is just right off the top of my head.

Been thinking too of some ways my life has already improved:
  • low normal blood sugar
  • low normal blood pressure
  • can cross my legs
  • can drive my car without my stomach touching the steering wheel
  • can find clothes at consignment and Goodwill
  • fit into some rides with ds (still have not tried a few --- but I am getting there)
  • can walk up a flight of steps without stopping
  • can walk over 2 miles without dying
  • can get my laundry done quicker and with fewer loads -- not washing tent size shirts now
  • wearing more makeup (got to accentuate now instead of trying to hide)
How are the rest of you Divas seeing your lives improve?

Fancy - I'll let you know how I like the tea. I did order it from amazon, 2 boxes including shipping for 10 or 11 bucks. I hope that's enough to hold me over until the holiday season when I can stock up. I'm hoping it'll be here Monday but it'll get here when it gets here... that's the joy of living in the country!!!

Here are the ways, off the top of my head, that LC and exercise have improved my life.
* I don't obsess about food anymore. (that's a HUGE one for me!!!)
* I don't eat fast food anymore and I'm really happy without it.
* I can cross my legs without help from my hands
* I feel good, I don't feel rundown for no particular reason
* I can make it upstairs just like normal
* I get an enormous sense of pride when I lose a pound
* I get an enormous sense of pride when I complete an hour of workout
* I feel like I'm heading to a healthy lifestyle, even if it takes me FOREVER to get there.
* I feel like this is a lifestyle that I can continue even after I obtain my goal weight
* I am less self conscious about my looks since I'm doing something about them

I'm hoping to see these improvements (will need to visit the doc to find out for sure)
* Normal blood pressure (it was borderline high last time I check it)
* Normal blood sugar (I was one point away from being diagnosed diabetes type II)

Meh... not too original but it's all I can think of right now.

Jenn, I think it is a great list. It all hits home with me too. The best thing is I do not feel deprived this woe and have always felt that way in the past when I was focused on dieting.

I am wondering about iced sugar cookie tea. hmmmmm.... Think I am going to visit amazon.com.

Fancy! You are amazing! Congrats on 102lbs gone! that is INCREDIBLE. And you're my hero :-)

About the Wii Fit - I LOVE it! It does make exercise fun! Some of the "games" are nice and light and easy (but effective) and it ranges all the way up to some really hard strength training. It will take me a long time to outgrow it. And I like that!

I do a minimum of 30 minutes everyday, and its so easy to work into my schedule.
They make the game have its own little personality, and it actually makes you feel guilty when you don't go on! or when you gain weight! haha it's really a cute little thing!

Good Morning All.
Looks like I have a lot of posts to catch up on. Weekend was fun but exhausting. So busy, we were getting groceries at 9 last night. Here are a couple pics from our ladies of the 80's night Saturday. I’m in the black Def Leppard Tshirt. Lots of fun...miss those girls! Will get back later after I have read posts. Have a nice day.
Cindy
Ok, so I cannot get the pics to paste. Will work on it. Why can't I copy and past them? Hmmm...will try again in a bit.

Only have a second, so quick and to all!

Had dessert yesterday, but back on track and down 2 lbs today!

Sugar Cookie tea is delicious (especially mixed with s/f vanilla or caramel syrup) and caffeine-free. Around the holidays you can get it at Whole Foods and Wagreens.

Meg - Where in Houston? I'm in Pearland!

Chai - Are you weighing only on wii fit? What time of day? Try to weigh first thing the the AM after going to the bathroom & before eating or drinking anything, even water. Water has no carbs/cals/fat, but it does have volume. And weigh with no clothes on. When you weigh later in the day you have the extra weight of food and drinks you've consumed, plus our muscles retain water throughout the day. And if you weigh in different clothes each time, that's more fluctuation right there.

Jennifer - My weight tends to fluctuate up to 6lbs a day. So anything under that I tend to not count as a loss or a gain. So right now, I am staying plain ol' still :-(

I always Wii Fit at night, sometimes it yells at me for doing it at a different time! haha, but I can only do what my schedule allows!

Chai - If you're doing Wii Fit at night, don't even worry about what weight it's giving you - it's not accurate. Do you also weigh in the mornings before eating drinking, after bathroom, with no clothes on?

Oh, I don't really mind if it's accurate, I figure as long as it's consistent, I still have a good gauge! I used to weigh myself on a regular scale in the mornings, and the Wii Fit at night, but they ended up being exactly the same usually, so I cut it down to just one!

You'll get a much better gague on the scale first thing in the AM. Even the fluctuations will be more consistent (oxymoron-ish I know) because your food/drink/activities before doing Wii Fit will vary from day to day & have a bearing on your weight.

Well I kind of figured out how to attach pic files, but to no avail. I am such a computer dummy, especially when it comes to pictures. I attached to files under manage attachments....then what?

Good point Jennifer!

Well, my brother brought me my scale back.. so I guess I will go back to that one. I swore it off, because I was weighing myself too much and driving myself crazy! :-) I'm gonna move it to the bathroom DOWNSTAIRS :-) That should help!

Thanks again.. I appreciate your help!
