You live! Order in some egg drop soup and get better! Sorry you're feeling so ill. Don't worry about the juice while you're sick...you need something and probably feel too blah to shop or cook.

Take care

thanks ladies

cara - Glad you're back. I was going to send Cindy after you too Good for you for keeping up with your exercise and water. When I'm off plan, I'm off plan.

SD - Hope you feel better soon. The apple juice may not do as much damage as you fear. Yeah it's full of sugar but no fat, & high carbs/high fat are the gruesome twosome. And I'm guessing you're not eating a whole lot of anything right now.

chai - Just because the scale's not moving it doesn't mean you're not getting smaller. Are your clothes getting loose? I had a pair of shorts that went from skin-tight couldn't breathe in them to fitting perfectly, and all I lost on the scale was half a pound.

Thanks Meg... here's hoping! ;-) I just feel like it's way too early for my body to be stalling.

Jennifer, no change in my clothes... but its also so hard for me to tell, I always wear ill-fitting clothes to begin with... I kinda wish I didn't, so I could have a better gauge!

Cara: Come back to the LC! Stress is a horrible monster that tries to get the best of us. I find that at least with LC I can control my diet when I can't control anything else. Lately (alright the last week since I started this chem class) it's been giving me that one little sense that I'm hanging in there.

Meg: I was thinking about telling her in a couple of years when I have some experience riding and I can reassure her that I'm cautious and doing what I can to stay safe.

Chai: Hang in there! The scale is... well, everyone here is pretty familiar with my animated views of that evil temptress. My logic has been this: Your body loses a decent amount of weight (like you've lost 10lbs) and it's going to need some time (a week or two, again my logic) to adjust to it. Once your body adjusts to it, it should be ready to lose weight again, and if you gain again, it won't want to go past that weight again. Again, all my logic, it makes those weird little stalls all the easier to deal with.

SlimD: I'm sorry you're sick. I was sick this morning and I was terrified that it was salmonella. I went to class anyways and figured I'd puke my way through it. Get better soon Homie!!! And keep pushing fluids. Don't worry about the apple juice, that extra sugar is probably doing your body more good than anything, especially since you aren't getting food. Miss you! Sleep, drink and get better!!!

As for my daily Jenn news... I was sooo stressed yesterday I almost cried during lab due to frustration. But I got home and the AC wasn't functioning properly so it was hot and gross in my house. I finally called Hubby, blamed him for all my woes and luckily he was really cool about it and reminded me that he's at work, there's nothing he can do about it, and he'll call someone when he gets home. Of course I cried b/c I felt like crap for blaming him. Then I found out I miss my BC yesterday and that explains why I was such an extra huge serving of CRAZY WIFEY! Thats the big downfall to my BC, no TOM (yeah!) miss a dose and crazy wifey comes out (BOO!). Oh well, today is a MUCH better day.

Menu:

B: 1/4 atkins shake (was super nauseated this morning, I thought it was salmonella)
L: Tuna salad with pork rinds (thank you! whoever posted that one!) and salad with chipotle cheddar dressing
S: ??? the rest of the atkins shake and who knows what else.
D: Chicken breast, salad, creamed spinach

Oh man, I made the tastiest lunch today! The other night, I made some homemade pesto, smothered chicken breast in it, topped with fresh mozzarella and made a tasty dinner.
Well, with the leftover chicken, I chopped it up, added celery, fresh basil, diced up mozzarella, mayo, salt & pepper, and viola! the tastiest chicken salad ever!

Just had to share :-)

Also, all my sugar free flavor syrups came today! I have 12 different flavors now! Excitement!

Jenn, I really like your logic on the stall. ;-) I might have to adopt that way of thinking!
You're welcome on the tuna & pork rinds thing, man, what a good combo!

Oh good Jennifer, didn't have to search and hunt down SlimD.

SlimD, get better...drink lots of water to replenish. It will pass. We miss you.

Not much time to post, so busy at work. Doing payroll because the other gal in my dept. is out.

Today's menu:

B, 5 sausage links
Snack, shame I missed
L, hamb patty
Snack, handful of peanuts
D, I need to get those veggies in. Going to Fitness Center for an hour, picking up a chef salad.

Have a nice evening all,
Cindy

Chai - I think I'm ordering some SF syrups tonight. They won't be in stock until Friday so I haven't been in a rush... but they have banana flavor and of course the elusive caramel that I've been searching this little town for. And I found that they have cookie dough and english toffee... I'm going to be the happiest little girl! (maybe as happy as you are now? yeah!!!)

Speaking of delicious chicken, I just made dipped chicken and it is SUPER! I tweaked the recipe slightly and I think it's just as good this way. Sometime soon I'm going to make breakfast muffins (eggs, sausage, cream cheese? I can't quite remember the recipe but I have all the goods!). I really love cooking... strange, a few years ago I despised it. With a passion. Ate out of a box for years...

Glad you like my logic on the stall. It makes it a LOT easier for me to deal with.

When I ordered from Netrition, my order came in two days. it was super fast!
I've already made a Mango soda, and a Rasp. Lime Rickey! hehe with 12 flavors, the possibilities are endlesssss! :-)

I wrote down the recipe for those breakfast muffins, but it was easier to just make one big quiche Came out to about 1g per slice (10g for the pie-sized panful) it was good too! I put bacon and sausage in it. Next time... spinach and feta! mm and maybe black olive too!

Okay, back on the wagon in the morning!! Funny (and you girls learn from my mistake if you are tempted to fall off!) I have been having terrible tummy troubles - just weird stuff. Anyway, I told my friend that i thought it was b/c I was so good and no sugar for 2 months, and then went back to it - Her husband happens to be a diabetic. She said that the doctor told them several times that lots of diabetics have upset tummies frequently b/c their blood sugar is wacky.

So...not only have I not lost anything, but my tummy has suffered - only to have some sugar!! Back on plan I go!!

JennBaker: Where are you getting your recipes? Don't really have time to search, but would like a 'one stop shop' for some good ones.

You guys have a great day - I am going to kick butt tomorrow and be proud of myself!

And Jenn, I think you're right - I don't know what happened to me this time! But yeah, it's easier to deal w/ those crappy stressors we all face IF we are being proactive about our health and eating responsibly!

Frustrated, but I'm going to take it as a learning experience!!! But I guess that just goes to show - I swear, I was to the point of saying, "I'll never go back - I'll never go back!!" Guess I should never say never!

Have a good night

Oh man do I love those sugarfree syrups! I've been having peanut butter coffee lately and blueberry or pineapple tea. I did find out the peanut butter has just a bit of carbs though. I've not found any others I have with carbs...but read the labels.

Chailatte'...things will happen for you soon if you stay on plan! I can 'see' it.

JennB...yeah a couple of years or when you trade the bike in. My kids are still telling me some of the things they did that I did not know about...well I guess I did it to my mom, too! I hope the AC is fixed today.

Hey Cara...glad you're on the wagon again!

Dianna, Jennifer, Cindy

Let's make this a stellar low carb day!

Good morning everyone,
The transformation of Magic, Jennifer, FF and anyone else who is circling that 100 lbs. mark is very inspiring to me. They did it, we can do it.

Chai,
I use pesto and homemade bruchetta with mozzerella cheese on my burger occasionally...yummy too. I am going to try your chicken version asap.

I have a V day today. Going to paint my bathroom. Going to the fitness center with hubs, getting some yardwork done, making this a working vacation day, but the calories will burn burn burn.

Cara, When I cheat, my body aches, I am tired, I feel blah, blah, blah. Its amazing that Lcbing can make us feel better and better isn't it. Glad you are back full force.

Today's menu:
Breakfast, 4 sausage links, 2 sc eggs
Snack, cheese
Lunch, grilling burgers
Snack, ?
Dinner, I may try the Chai Chicken

Lots of water today, lots of exercise, and getting a lot done around the house. I should be going to bed tonight thinking dang....what a day of accomplishments.

BTW, ITS WORKOUT WEDNESDAY.

Have a nice day,
Cindy

Off to a good start this morning - donuts in the house, but I had 2 sausage patties and scrambled eggs. Played tennis for only a few minutes last night, but had a lot of water.

magic - 139 lbs - my goodness!! we CAN do this, right???? YOU HAVE!! Great job!

Let's take advantage of summer and keep moving, girls!

Start of my day It's my day off and i slept in until 11 am, guess my body needed the sleep

Already had some breakfast sausage & drank 18oz of water, really trying to keep that habit up.

It's day 3 of induction for me, i know i'm not supposed to weigh every day but i'm down from 282 to 274.4 and im starting tom today, usually i don't lose the water weight until after so i'm pretty happy.

I'm expecting my callanetics to come in the mail tomorrow. I'm just wondering how easy it will be for someone who is bigger like myself

Have a wonderful day divas!!

I may be taking Workout Wednesday off this week. I've been battling a sinus infection, and just when I was feeling better we got bad weather yesterday & I feel like crud. I've taken my meds and if I feel better this evening I'll work out but there was no way this morning.

cara - Good luck getting back on track. It's only human to fall off the wagon here and there, but the key to success is never giving up.

chai - Thanks for your sweet note in my journal
Go buy a pair of pants that are a size or so small. Or maybe you have one (or if you're like me several ) in your closet. Use them to measure your progress.

Jenn - My fave DaVinci syrups are chocolate, peppermint paddy, vanilla & English toffee. Next time I'm going to get banana & peanut butter too. My brother's gf is a barista and she just laughs when I break out my syrups. She says I have my own coffeehouse

magick - You'll be hitting 150 lbs gone soon!!!

Cindy - What color are you painting your bathroom?

Meg - Where in TX are you?
A few years ago I got busted by my mom for something I did as a teen - and I was 25 & married

Diana - Be sure to let us know how you like callenetics. I've heard good things about it.
I'm with Chai - Netrition is fast.

diana - I'm ordering from Netrition and all the flavors I want are on back order. Should be in tomorrow. I've never ordered from them before but I figure, hey, why not support these great message boards!!! If it weren't for them I wouldn't have met all my wonderful LC friends!!!

Chai - I don't have a pie plate but I'm thinking I must buy one. A quiche would be sooo delish!

Cara - When I did Atkins before I had a horrible time eating off plan. Upset stomach, headaches, the works. It definitely punished me!!! I think it's punishing you too and that's a good thing! (Sadistic, right?) As for recipes, I have spent a lot of time digging through the LCF recipe room. I also scan the recipe board to see what's hot in LC recipe land. I've found some real goodies in there. I also frequent the Induction Food Porn thread. Lots of great ideas for induction friendly foods in there plus you post a picture so you can see how good it looks which is great incentive to make it.

Magick: Good to see you!!! You are doing an amazing job losing weight and I look forward to sharing the rest of your journey with you. You are an inspiration to us all!!! I know the last few weeks have been frustrating but you're doing awesome! Congrats on the 22s!!! I am still in my 24s and hoping to be out of them or just really loose by the end of the month. We'll see!!!

Jennifer - I have a few flavors. I LOVE them all! I wish I *could* drink coffee right now b/c man oh man I'd put starbucks to shame with the masterpieces I'd be creating. I'm ordering banana, caramel, cookie dough and english toffee... oh oh oh! I can't wait!!!

Jennifer and Meg - She'll find out eventually. I really want her to find out from me but I'd rather have some experience being a safe rider so I could comfort her by saying "Yeah, I know I'm clumsy but I'm really careful. See I've been riding for ___ years now!"

I'm also ordering Sugar Cookie Tea. I've heard really good things about it on the message boards and amazon still has some. I'm hoping two boxes will be enough to hold me over until I can stock up in December.

Menu:
B: Atkins Shake
L: Grilled Chicken Ceasar Salad (gross, the lettuce was nasty wilted)
D: Dipped Chicken and salad
S: Tuna with pork rinds, cauliflower salad, creamed spinach (I need to get some veggies in today!!!)

Jennifer,
My bathroom color??....well it didn't happen today, just got the ceiling painted. I am having a heck of a time getting the border off. I went and bought some spray tonight, hopefully I can get at it tomorrow night. I thought painting the bathroom would be a piece of cake, until my hubs & I disagreed on the color. I bought a palm tree themed shower curtain, waste basket & soap pump and a matching picture. The colors are palm tree green, cream, goldish and brown tones. My husband wants to paint the bathroom sky blue!
We recently put a medium brown ceramic tile floor in there and I want cream walls to accent the floor, the vanity and the cream in the curtain and picture. I guess I watch to much HGTV, but I need to convince him otherwise. Do any of you have the agreement issues such as we do. Silly stuff there.

I achieved all of my other goals today though. Worked in the yard, worked out at the Fitness Center, drank over 100 oz of water and cleaned the bathroom top to bottom after the ceiling was painted.

Until tomorrow,
Cindy
