Lose 100 lbs by November 2008 (May thread) --
Here goes to a great month everyone! Got my walking in two different times today.... some more yard work, and gonna ride my exercise bike for a bit. Try to refocus a bit and think I will do Induction level carbs for Friday, Saturday and Sunday... Have felt the need to graze today and think I better put a halt to that mentality right away.
Kudos to each of you! Thanks for all of the great information and support. |

I am up for the challenge. I set my goal conservative for 15lbs, but am really hoping to repeat April.... don't want to get greedy and jinx myself -- Just still cannot believe it.. Magickal, your successes are motivating for me. I am so eager to reach that 100 lb mark and then even better, get into Onederland. Keep asking myself why I did not eat like this sooner.... but hey, no looking backwards. Only forward and smaller from here on out.
Have an important business event coming up in a couple weeks and really do not want to invest in a suit just yet... wish me luck, going consignment and Goodwill shopping this weekend for a business suit. Also, got to buy some new shoes....... all mine are falling off my feet if they do not lace up. Laceups are not quite cutting the mark at work; and definitely will not work with a suit in two weeks.... Used the weedeater for a long time and am almost caught up with trim work. Think I am going to invest in some roundup for the flower beds and along the fence.... although the exercise has been good for me. Walked a total of 4 miles today and heading now to ride the exercise bike for a bit. Have a super Friday!!!

fancy u doing so good u will reach it, I know u will , Im in this mind frame that I wont except nothing but my goal, which is pushing me so hard working in the yard has been really helping me like going to the gym i have a big yard with a ton of trees so i got alot of work and a tond of flower beds that have been neglected for the last few years so im gonna make them beautifull thats my kinda excersize , and im seein a drop on the scale so i know its working. U motivate me too chica i cant believe u beat me by 1 pound we did great this month and we gonna have a great may!!!!!!! Im giving up my coffee so im hopin that helps me out , which i really think it will .......all i can see is 199 and thats where i wanna be then 160 but right now im pushing for 199 and i can do it , so im puttin my all into it now excersize water and strict eating........hug to u

Good morning All, -- Woke up with lots of energy, so I am up getting some laundry started and hoping to get a couple rooms vacuumed before we go to work and school... Thanks Magickal. We are going to do it! I am just feeling so much different (in a positive way)... My weight now is one that I have not seen in about 9 years... Now I am looking at 199 -- hopefully before July 4th.
Have a super super day! Gonna run do vacuuming and then take a quick shower...... |

Skinny is in the eye of the beholder!
Good morning ladies!! I feel skinny this morning - my pajamas were loose and my clothes are today, too!
I just made me think: it's funny how, when you're taking care of yourself and you notice a difference, the words 'thin' or 'skinny' or 'healthy' become so subjective! I know that to the average person who doesn't know me in the grocery store, I still look fat! And, because I personally fluctuate so much with my weight (but all fluctuations are still way, way to high) even my family and friends haven't noticed as much as I am noticing the difference in my body. I guess that can be a good thing when you're gaining - they don't notice that as much, either!![]() What I'm saying is, whether you are still over 200 or over 300 or over 400 or over 1000 - FEEL YOUR SKINNY!! EMBRACE IT!! CELEBRATE IT!! That is one thing that I have decided to concentrate on this month - I'm going to enjoy my clothes feeling loose, noticing my smaller butt and tummy! Even if someone else thinks I am a huge blob, I'm going to focus on what I'm doing to help my body!! I didn't get to exercise last night. I feel like I've stopped making excuses and gotten serious about what I'm eating and drinking. Now I've got to get serious about exercise and stop making excuses!! Anyone else pay gym membership dues and never go??? I guess I'm paying them 40/month for that nice little keychain! ![]() B: 2 scrambled eggs and 1 fried cheese (My husband was like, "What is that?? What a great post to read and start this Friday! CONGRATULATIONS! What a huge accomplishment and inspiration you are to us all. Cara, Oh, I so understand what you mean about I feel skinnier. What other's think does not matter.....its how WE feel. My PJ's are huge and comfy, my pants are getting way too big, but holy cow, summer is coming and we are so not playing the "I wanna lose 20 lbs before summer" game, because we will already be there in May! Heather, I NEED you on this board. Please stick with us and stay on this board. How are you doing? Are you done cleaning out your mother's house? FF, You're melting away! ![]() Today's menu: Breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage patty and Lg coffee from McD's Snack: Cracked pepper turkey breast (love this Walmart deli stuff!) Did you at least spread the peanut butter on your tilapia? ![]() That peanut butter didn't hurt you. You probably burned it right up. Here's to a cheat free weekend. I hate my husband working 2nd shift. He's gone before I get home and nights is the hardest time to follow dieting, however I am on a roll, and all be darn if I am going back into the 250's! I keep myself very busy and it helps. Going to a high school play, lots of running around tomorrow and Wisconsin Dells on Sunday. Sunday will be the true test, AND with TOM near, I am going to have to take a few sugar free treats.....just in case. Have a good weekend everyone. Cindy |

Have ya'll ever experienced that phenomenon where you kind of get on the same TOM schedule as whomever you're around?? I've done it with roommates, friends, co-workers, etc. It seems like many of us are mentioning that TOM is lurking - could it be true with cyber-friends, too?? HA! I'm feeling unusually munchy today - I don't know why! I tried the high fat balls - I think I did something wrong. Mine were the consistency of frosting ![]() |

I'm with you. I've got the munchies today. I haven't bought potato chips in over a month, and apparently my kids are picking up on my habits because the same 3 bags of chips that have been up there for over a month are still up there... and I have 5 kids!! I woke up this morning wanting french fries and ketchup. My daughter, who has been a real buddy on this journey, said, "NO FRENCH FRIES!" He he he!! ![]() Magic, I blink for one second and 'whoosh', there you go! Woman, I am so proud. We are so close in weight. I think I am going to start copying you and Fancy! ![]() All of you ROCK!! ![]() Have a great weekend!

My TOM is a bit late too.... that cyber thing going strong! lol! Gonna weigh in the morning and just praying now that it is good. Holding fluid and usually do around TOM-- so hoping I go ahead with it -- I usually gain a little before and then have a whoosh afterwards. Played outside this evening and got a wonderful walk in. Gonna plant a small garden tomorrow---- burning some calories and growing good eats!! yay! Have a wonderful losing weekend!!!! |

I'm a little late....
I havent really had a chance to post as often as I would like, my daughter is graduating this month on the 27th, I work a 12hr shift Monday thru Thursday and I have been mega busy... My goals for May are to eat clean, drink more water and get down atleast 15 pounds...I am really gonna have to do some serious planning... I have to make sure I make my food ahead of time everyday being that there is nothing low carb where I work, if I forget my food my whole day is shot... It will be hard but I am gonna get to onederland even if its one pound at a time...
The last few days have been stressful I weighed in this morning at 262 so im up 2 I'm just glad its not more... I dont wanna be a downer so I will let it go at that.. I am so proud of you guys

peachy u will get on track and u can do this darling post everyday write ur menu down and let us help ur journey, i know it can be hard sometimes since our drug is food and its on every corner in america , but we are stronger than that!!!!!!! I want to see u succeed well i lasted only one day on the atkins, so i went back to stillmans just feel better and not so free, it works better for me ,,,, i want to make this month a great one!!! wantto see alot of loss so im pushing my self to the most ....thx u all for ur support stay strong and on plan and it will all work out in the end ......cant wait to get to 280 thats my goal for this month ... i feel its obtainable
