Good evening. Running late again--

For My Thursday Recap: Today marks 20 weeks of this woe and 89 lbs gone for good! Woohoo! That averages to about 4.4 lbs per week. I know of two weeks that I lost zero, so there were a couple really big whoosh weeks and the typical week is 2.5 - 3 lbs. I am loving it. Down to 217 today.

Since I have joined the mid year challenge, gonna start just posting my losses on Mondays. Check the challenge out Divas -- I think it is going to really help me stay on track. With just few more days left this month, I have 2 lbs left to lose to hit my 15 lb goal for May.

Gotta run -- get some sleep. So looking forward to our longer weekend. Happy Memorial Day Weekend Divas!!!

Just a really quickie --- I'm heading out of town. I'd love to leave a post for each of you cause you're all doing AWESOME!!! but I have to pack for me and the puppies and get on the road. After I get settled at my parents house and I have time I'll jump on and see how you're all doing. Not sure if I'll have time over the weekend, but definitely Monday when things settle and of course I'll be back here Tuesday or Wednesday depending on how bored I get.

You're all doing great!!! I'm soo happy for you and I'm proud to be a member of this thread!!!

Hi everyone,

Just want to wish you a safe Memorial Day Weekend and for those of you who are driving, drive safe. I have a four-day weekend. I plan on eating 100% clean this entire weekend. I probably will not post every day, but I will try. We are restaining our deck, planting flowers, and going camping with friends....just Sat. night. I'm sure these four days will fly right on by.

Thanks Cindy. Sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy your camping. We are hoping to head to the zoo one day. Gonna eat clean all weekend too. The good thing about cookouts is there is usually plenty of hamburgers, chicken and hotdogs. Lots of good food to choose from. I am making the coleslaw my way for a couple of meals and cooking green beans -- which should make it easier. Learning that I just have to take plenty of my own side items to choose from-- and the funny thing is, everyone will always eat my side items first..... so, just maybe, I am helping others eat healthier too.

Yay Peachey! I am so impressed with all of us and so proud to be a part of this group of Divas!

Gotta run, but will check in later. Enjoy!

Yay! I now have 4 days off from work. Hope to get some yard work, walking, and flower planting accomplished. We are also planning a trip to the zoo ---

Wore one of my new smaller shirts today and a coworker actually commented that I looked nice and seemed very puzzled. lol... Did not comment on weight loss, but I think they were actually noticing for the first time -- hilarious. I mean 89 lbs later, and all of sudden folks are puzzled that I look smaller.... duh! Whatever! I am just thrilled to fit into a 14/16 top. Cannot wait until I hit goal. Got some serious flirting going on today from cutie in the same store I was shopping in. That has not happened in such a long time, that I was a little startled by this cutie, until it dawned on me --- hey, he's flirting. lol! Does wonders for your mood.

Hope everyone is doing well today.

My father decided he HAD to try the Oreo Cakester (DEVIL!!!) so he ran to the store and picked up some for him, Mom and Granpa. Luckily did not bring me any... hard to resist oreos... very hard. But I did it. I ate a few Wasabi and Soy Almonds... it's not the same but I resisted!!!

Hope you're all having a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Way to go Jenn. I have been around some temptations today and it is a good feeling to resist temptation ---- but oh so hard with some things.

Chips and dip, cakes, pies, cookies --- everywhere this weekend --- I resisted, but have eaten a Blue Bunny 1 carb ice cream. Think I need to go walking to get away from some temptations.

I may have to buy some LC ice cream while I'm down here. I have ice cream bars at home (portion control) and I'm really wishing I could have one tonight... ahhh, the suckiness of being on vacation.

I keep telling myself to STICK to the WOE!!! STICK TO IT! Don't get off track just because you're not sleeping at home. God knows I'm going to have enough cheats eating fried food... haven't yet... had a salad... but the staff at Jack-In-The-Box was rude to the point that I refuse to go back... sad, I really like their salads... give McD's a shot? Oh well, that's what I get for leaving East Texas... I forget how just downright unpleasant people are here. Your smile and a polite voice is just an invitation to be treated like poo.

But enough ranting.

I think I've eaten too many wasabi and soy almonds today... but they were good so I don't care. I think when I buy the next container I'll get some of those miniature snack baggies and I'll just portion out 23 (1 oz) into each bag. Then I'll know EXACTLY how many I can have in one day.

I've tried to increase my fat intake on the diet... I'm wondering if that'll boost my weight loss. Worth a shot and if it doesn't work I've only lost a week or two... but nuts seemed like a nice, healthy, EASY way to boost the fat. I've also become addicted to macadamias... again, I just need to portion it out in little baggies and then I'll be doing a lot better... but all in all it's better than cheating with a bag of D*rit*s... my vice...

I do this too. It really helps and then I always have something I can grab on the go too.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I am so addicted to the scale -- got on it this morning too.... turned out good tho, down to 214. I am gonna push to be in Onderland by July 4th!!! Yay!!

Checking in later. So glad I am close enough to the computer to keep checking in this weekend... Really helps me to be accountable.

Had a lc breakfast bowl from Hardees this morning... Wow, it is huge. Still have some left in the fridge..... guess that can be snack if I get the munchies later. So full right now tho.

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum but not new to low-carbing. I've lost 85 pounds so far but still have lots to go. I've been reading here for awhile and have gained support from reading how well you ladies are doing. We are all in the same 'boat' fighting the same thing so I thought I'd join you here and see if I can encourage and be encouraged by you! :-)

Believe it or not I didn't have success with Atkins. I think what I did was just eat tto much fat and so too many calories. I started having success when I remembered the diet that had always helped me when I was young...Stillman's. so I did Stillman's for as long as I could stand it. lol that was three weeks and then I added veggies and tried to hold my calories to 1500 a day. Can't say I did it perfect but I did lose 80 pounds in about 8 months last year. I then went into a long stall/maintain and finally decided to get serious again and get more off! My goal for this year is to get to 200 pounds which would be a total of 115 pounds. I'll take a larger loss if I can though! :-) Anyway...I'm happy to be here.

Meg: WELCOME!!! It seems like very few of us are here for the holiday weekend but I'm sure they'll be glad to see a new face when they get back!!!

Congrats on the former weight loss. I lost 100 lbs on Atkins before... but then I decided I was tired of losing weight and eventually gained it all back. I've only lost about 25 lbs so far this time. I think I'm doing well and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

These ladies are GREAT! You're gonna love it here!!!

ok quick why im missing long weekend and alot of bbqing and ets say omg been so hard so im allowing my self and atkins day today and back to stillmans hard core tomorrow , oxoxoxox to u all and congrates to u all that have lost fancy u kicking butt diva!!!!

Jenn, what kind of puppy do you have? My ds is three and keeps asking for a puppy. We have 3 cats and not too sure I can deal with the addition of a puppy. Thinking a smaller breed maybe a few months from now.

Peachey, thanks! I saw my reflection in a doorway somewhere today, and did not recognize me.... lol.. realized it was me and it was a bit of a shock -- but a good one.

One more day of food, food, food everywhere we go.. I will be relieved. Have been a bit crazy today.... have eaten 3 of the 1 net carb Blue Bunny popsicles. OMG.... hope that does not set me back, but after all, it was a much better choice than what was all around me. Argh! Still got some issues to deal with. Jenn, good for you sticking to plan.

I will touch base tomorrow. Hang tough Divas!!

Thanks Jen for the welcome and congrats...you're doing great Jen...the weight is already coming off again for you! I think it's important for gals like us to remember that we really have to make our WOE a permanent change...something I never realized before this last time I've lost. I realize now I need to eat low carb in some form for the rest of my life. I'm O.K. with that because I want to have a long life.

I'm in awe of your weight loss. Yes you do know what you're doing and have found the way that works for you. I know you're glad already for the loss you've had and will be for the rest of your life...hey and don't worry about alittle bbq ...heck we bbq'd extra so I'd have meat for the week. Good stuff like turkey breast, pork tenderloin and beef shoulder...and of course hamburgers. Yummers! I'm liking my meat...especially the turkey. Turkey rocks.

Happy holiday everyone...

I'm glad that this weekend is finally over .. I made it through with only minor damage.. I feel crappy this morning ... I dont know if I am gonna make my goal of 15 pounds for the month had a few slipps.. I am on plan right now and I will take whatever I get... I dont know if I can lose 8 pounds by the end of this month it will take a miracle perhaps, but I will strive to finish close..
