magickal - glad to see you back in action. and glad you didn't lose any weight while you were sick --- I always gain that back in the first few meals I eat after being sick. Sucks but at least you wont have to deal with it!

Cindy - sounds like a good busy day for you!

I ate a super delicious hawaiian chicken salad today. Mmm mmm... I'm definitely going to look for a way to build that bad boy at home.

Today's Menu:
B: Atkins Shake
L: Hawaiian Chicken Salad
D: Southwestern Taco Salad

Definitely feeling less greasy!!! And luckily Hubby was there to tell me to resist the onion rings (I can't help it... I LOVE those things!!!)

Hey!

I've been super busy. I called a teacher's work day today. I've been so tired the last two days. I need to remember that during my cycle, I have a couple of days when I ovulate that make me this way. I've also had a couple of late nights and early mornings.

I've made it to the Y every day this week... but I never got around to that workout DVD I wanted to do. My total loss this week was around 3 lbs. I am glad for the continual decline, but I do so want to drop this stuff!! ;-D

I've been eating well. My son brought in a box of Dunkin' Donuts this week. I never even had a nibble!! Dana Carpender's cook books are making this WOE so much easier and enjoyable.

I placed an order for my supplements today and added a protein powder and a low carb thickner to help in my cooking.

I probably would have done better this week, but I guess, if I've had a cheat, it was on Wednesday night. I went out with some family members to eat mexican. I did well on eating... only one chip, no flour shells... but I had 2 glasses (and they were BIG glasses) of Sangria! I had intended to only have one, but when the host saw how disappointed I was that they were out of guac, he brought me a second one free... and I didn't send it back!! LOL

Have a great weekend all!! We are going to the drive-in tonight to see "Prince Caspian". I only hope I don't fall asleep!

magickal - I'm a scaleaholic too! I'm proud to report though I stayed away from that temptress this morning. I've had such a bouncy week. I'm at my weight, the next day I'm down 3 or 6 pounds then the following day it's back up. And I celebrate and brag about the loss and I feel like a fat fat fatty when it hops back up. My big goal right now is to ONLY weigh on Sundays... 2 mornings to go! I really hope it's back down. Of course, after the salad kick I've been on the last two days, it's possible. Congrats on being down two pounds!!!

Joy - congrats on staying away from the donuts. I'm glad I haven't been in a situation where I've been too overly tempted to stray from the good stuff. I am on a mission to find something low carb to eat at every restraunt we go to. So far so good.

I'm off to puppy class tonight.

Hello Divas,
So great to read about your losses. It has been a ruff day on my end. Lingering sickness germs, but have not eaten anything off plan..... gonna hope that I kept enough liquids going and see what the scale says in the morning.

I am addicted to that scale too. I rarely manage more than a couple days without weighing.

Joy, the sangria sounds great. -- How was 'Prince Caspian'?

Hope everyone has a great losing weekend. Heading to bed now and praying the scale is nice in the morning.

Okay, this morning I am feeling a 100% better. Thank God. I slept over 9 hours last night and this is remarkable. Also helped my mood to step on the scale and weigh in at 218. Woohoo! I have lost 12 for the month. 3 away from May's goal.

We are heading out to the yard to do yard work and play. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Cindy, I also meant to ask how the Fitness and Wellness Center visit went? I have been considering joining one too. Been thinking I need to get in better shape first and then I thought 'duh, that is what I need the fitness center to help me do.' -- Hope you have a great time. Let us know.

Prince Caspian... well... I am not sure. The drive in is really old and the sound wasn't great and the moon was kinda bright so the picture wasn't great! LOL

I guess we'll be seeing it in theaters after all... well it was a fun night with family and friends!

Sorry I haven't been around today. I had motorcycle class today (and tomorrow). I've been real good about eating my salads to get that grease out of my system... definitely feeling better!!! I went by Krogers and they had beef brisket on sale. I have NO idea how to cook one... I'm really hoping I can cook it tonight. But I think they take like 5 hours or something like that.

Tomorrow after motorcycle class (and test!!!) I'm going to read up in my Atkins books. I've been digging through different BB threads and I'm reading a lot about needing a certain amount of fat in your diet. I'm kindof concerned that I may not be eating enough fat... I hate to actually keep track of what I'm eating but it may not be a big deal for a few days. I guess reading a few chapters would be beneficial. (I only have a billion and three books).

Fancy - Glad you're feeling better!!! Congrats on the loss. I've avoided weighing for two days but I get to tomorrow morning. I'm sooo excited... I hope the scale is my friend!!!

Magick - Good luck making your goal!!! I hope you can do it! And you're already down two pounds SO awesome!!!

Joy - Sorry Prince Caspian didn't show so well. I can't wait to see it... soon... soon...

Hope you're all having a great SATURDAY!!!

Menu:
B: Atkins Shake
L: Chicken Club Salad
D: 2 hamburger pattys and salad (Brisket tomorrow?)
E: Pushing a motorcycle around (I'm counting it since my legs are KILLING me!!!)

Thank you Everyone for your nice comments. I am feeling some muscles today that I forgot I had, so guess that means I got some good working out in yesterday. Just did yard work, played at the park and then went to a cookout/party with family last night. Today we have a repeat of the playground part later. You know the best part is I can actually play on some of the playground equipment with my son now. He loves it and so do I. Great workout! Have a blessed Sunday!

I want to see Prince Caspian soon too. Got some interesting feedback at the family cookout last night. Some folks were disappointed with it and some loved it. Lol.... Magickal, I know you are going to make it. Hope your cough is cleared up soon. That can make you feel so bad.

Thanks Peachy. I like your number 1. I keep thanking God every day I get up and tell my clothes are looser. I am so grateful He lead me to Atkins LC woe. I have tried to lose weight so many times in the past without success and this woe just seems to be what is best for me.

Jenn, just noticing you started this woe in April and looking at your stats. You are doing wonderful! 25 lbs gone in such a short time. Congrats!

Congrats to all of us. We're all losers and that is the best feeling in the world!!!

Gotta run -- will check in later --- have a super losing day!!

Fancy - I'm not quite down 25 lbs... that scale... she can be a viscious backstabbing... well, you get the idea. So today is my official weigh day and I'm down *OFFICIALLY* 22 lbs since I started. Still not bad. I'll get those other four lbs... hopefully by next week... I say that but I have NO idea how to make it happen. Oh well... Once school starts back up I'll be able to get to the gym and I'm sure things will move a little more swiftly at that time.

Chin up! Chin up!

I've been the Queen of Self Motivation this weekend... by God if I can trail those guys around on a motorcycle, learn to drive a standard car, and make an A in a REALLY hard Anatomy and Physiology, I CAN DO THIS!!!

Of course at this point I'm tempted to eat nothing but Jello for a week... but then I'll gain weight when I have a real meal... OI VEY!

Anyways... enough rambling... I stink and am in need of a shower (it's already getting HOT in Texas... right now 89 degree's outside...)

Magickal - Sorry that flu is kicking your butt... you're right, just focus on getting rest and feeling better. You're in my thoughts.

Slimdiva - I hope the only reason you're not around is the event you needed that dress for... MISS YOU!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!

Fancy,
The fitness & wellness center my husband and I joined is unbelievable! It has a theraputic pool, a 7-lap pool, aerobic studio, pilates studio, spinning room, sauna, steam room, jacuzzis, walking and running track and a huge exercise room full of state of the art equipment. My husband joined with me as did a few gals from work. So far, I have worked on the leg press, leg weight machine and walked. I am so happy I did this. I am excited to see progress.

I sure hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The weather here was in the upper 60's, lower 70's but sunny all weekend....perfect.

Had a busy weekend and as always, wondering where the heck it went. My main goal this weekend was to eat clean, get my water in, and join the fitness & wellness center. I did it. The membership dues for my husband and I are $97/month, therfore I was hesitant, but the place we joined is first class and for once in my life, I am going first class.
Then my friend and I went shopping and I bought new bras, all in a smaller size, and a new pair of capris in a comfy size 22! Friday night at my nephew's ball game, my sisters told me that my clothes are too big and that I would look smaller in clothes that fit. I am so use to hiding behind my baggy clothes and I suppose I will always buy them a bit looser...well until I hit 199 lbs. My next goal is to get brave enough to buy a swimsuit to use in the pools. I'm not quite comfy with that idea....something I need to overcome.

This week in crunch time on meeting May's goal. I guess I need to stick to my original goal of 10 lbs, as 15 lbs is not attainable for me. I don't have any problem this time around losing a bit slower, maybe I can keep up with toning.

Have a nice week everyone.
Cindy

Good Morning Divas!!!

Sunshine - Wow! I am SOOOO jealous about your fitness center. I live in East Texas and there is just nothing that nice out here in the boonies. But less people so I wont complain. Congrats on making your goals for the weekend! I met mine (aside from reading the books). And congrats on the new smaller size. I haven't lost enough weight yet to get into a smaller size but I'm SOOO looking forward to it!!!

Magickal - I'm sorry the scale has been playing games with you. I've had to drop down to weighing once a week... I can't take the frustration. But sticking with it... sticking with it...
