Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great day! So far, I'm on plan... just hanging in there again trying to get back into ketosis, needing to drink more water, and going to the gym to walk later. I hope that somehow my carb binge will help jump-start my weight loss now that I'm back in induction!? We'll see...

Today's Menu:
B- turkey on oopsies (4)
S- americano (3)
L- grilled chicken (2)
D- ??? some kind of meat and veggies ???
TOTAL = 9+dinner/8 glasses of water
(going to the gym to walk a couple miles later)

I'm NOT looking forward to my weigh-in tomorrow since I blew it big time last weekend... I'm sure I'll be UP! Oh well... that means next week I'll probably be DOWN!?!?!?

Joyce~ You are so encouraging! Thank you!!!

Stacie~ It took me a while to take my first measurements and I regret not doing it sooner... my weight hasn't changed much in the past month, but I've lost about 9 inches in two weeks!!! So, you never know when your measurements might be the motivation you need to keep going!

Glad everyone is doing so well!

l - none
d - 2 ham & Swiss roll-ups, salad
100 oz water, 1 can diet Coke

The sweets I had on Easter didn't have an adverse affect on my weight at all. I'm very lucky. I was dreading the water weight gain but it never came. Actually I had a small whoosh! I still can't believe I've stuck to something this long and have only had two 'bad' meals, not even full all-out eat everything days. I had nachos at 4 in the morning when I was drunk and I had a few sweets on Easter, but went right back on plan immediately! I've never stuck to anything this long but I think I am so determined to do this for life. I never feel like I'm missing out on what I can or can't eat. I also give a lot of credit to these forum challenges!! They hold me accountable and I feel like I would let everyone down (including myself) if I gave up.

Good Morning Everyone,
Well it was my idea to choose induction foods only until April 1st and what did I do.....I caved last night. Not too too bad, but after I opened the 5th hersheys kiss, I threw that one away and said enough. Then when I packed my husbands's lunch, I ate a big handful of sour cream and onion chips. Then I went ahead and ate my chicken for supper and told myself, back on plan. Overall, I was doing so well this week. Todays menu:

Breakfast: Ground Jimmy Dean Sausage, 1/4 of the roll.
Snack: Celery sticks, no cheese with it today, punishment from yesterday
Lunch: 2 hot dogs, 1/2 cucumber
Snack: Plain ole celery again.
Dinner: Summertime chicken leftovers, 1/2 cucumber

Trying to get 6 16.9 oz of water in to help with yesterdays screw up.

Have a nice day everyone.
Cindy

We all eat things we regret occasionally. Going right back on track is the answer. It happens.

DH's birthday is Monday and since we both have to work that day, we'll go out this weekend to celebrate. Knowing I have a weigh-in on the 1st will help keep me honest! I hope lol!

Hi again!

Still going strong! I weighed in today at 344.5 , BUT I'm just back into moderate ketosis... so I'm hoping actually staying ON PLAN this weekend will get me back down a couple of pounds and set me up to continue losing next week!

Today's Menu:
B- turkey on oopsies (4)
L- grilled chicken, diet root beer (2)
D- steak and broccoli/cauliflower mix (6)
S- CO bark (2)
TOTAL = 14 carbs/8 glasses of water
(walking a few miles at the gym later)

I think hubby and I are going to skip going to the bar with friends tonight because we've got some things to get done at home and a very busy weekend, so that's one temptation out of the way!

Cindy~ Great job getting right back on track... it took me three days of cheating that was not worth it at all... and I'm JUST getting back on track! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Happy Friday!

yesterday:
b - coffee
l - chef salad
d - pepperoni deep dish pizza quiche
104.9 oz water, 1 can diet Pepsi
couch to 5k - wk8 dy2

Stacie - Great attitude! I find Atkins so great because of what I can eat, that I don't miss what I can't eat. Well, sometimes I do but not as much as I missed during my low-fat days.

magickal & Cindy - We all mess up, but the important thing is to get right back on plan.

ok everyone i stayed on plan today gonna try to not weigh myself till monday and keep mondays as my only weigh in days, cuz I have a love and hate relationship with the scale and it drives me crazy...... any how ty all for being to supportive ! I will stick to plan the cheat wasnt worth it at all and it didnt even taste good for doing this for so long i have noticed when i cheat that i really dont even enjoy it no more , but why do i still do it? Old habits I guess but i am more aware of my body tho, where I used to get in this long haul of carbs and regain everything. I can say that i have maintained for the last year wat i took off, so that is definatly an accomplishment and i am pattin myself on the back for it and for the rest that have seen a bad day and get right back on u should also , was thinking long and hard i beat my self up and think im such a failure and usually end up back where i started ,but somehow i have changed that behavior.....So isnt that wat we are trying to do with losing weight changing are relationship with food ?just thinking outloud here.......Im so glad ive been posting here I almost didnt want to post that I cheated , but again thats old behaviors!!!!!! Lets get this thread going all and make are 100 pound losses !!!!!!! so new goal for me will to weigh in on mondays !!!!

Thanks, Magic, for the well-wishes! I'm doing great so far... and plan to continue! I WILL BEAT my trend of cheating on the weekends!!!

Last night my hubby and I ended up going to a dinner we'd forgotten about (!) at my brother and sister-in-law's house. My brother lost a lot of weight eating low carb quite a few years ago and so he's very supportive. He served pulled pork and cabbage... YUM!

Today's Menu:
B- eggs, sausage, coffee w/cream (5)
L- turkey on oopsies (4)
D- eating out somewhere with in-laws... so either a salad or thai something OP, depending on where we go???
TOTAL = 9+dinner/8 glasses of water
(cleaning our place like crazy!)

Today's been a good one for me, I just haven't had enough water but I went shopping and so I'll just have to get back on track tomorrow.

Congrats, Turtle!

Fancy Face, be strong. Our town had a community Easter picnic for the children, and I got assigned to make cupcakes. Well - I hope you are more successful than I was at resisting. It is SO not worth it, but that frosting was sooo yummy at the moment.

Good job, Heather, getting back on track. I tried the oopsies twice and didn't get it right. I think I'm going to give it another go because there's a lot of enthusiasm about them and a huge variety of ways to use them.

Welcome, pmartin, glad to have you with us!

Thanks everyone and welcome PMartin. I made it through and only licked some dark chocolate off my fingers... so, hopefully not too bad. The tough part was working and selling the stuff for 2.5 hours. About an hour into it, I got myself a Blue Bunny 1 net carb ice cream. Maybe not the best choice, but it kept me from digging into something much worse.

I agree that this forum helps me stay accountable. I actually thought at one point that I cannot post binging on a bake sale and that helped me tremendously. So thanks to all!!

I have to say my love and hate relationship withthe scale has won i couldnt stay off of it , but drumm roll plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz im down 4 more pounds this morning makeing that a grand total of 20 lbs in 9 days ..yes i did need that this morning .

Joyce thank you so much and yes i was thinking out loud , think this is a tool for us all to use to know we are not alone in our struggles with food to be able to see it in black and white good or bad helps us and also helps someone else going thru the same thing as we are . I used to be the kind of closet eater that was ashamed to eat infront of ppl and thats not healthy, so coming here and typing out my days and my thoughts on the subject empowers me somehow and all of u are so encouraging helps gettin back on track . I too am constantly trying to get my water in.Im followin the stillmans plan cuz i want to see loss quickly but i plan on doin 10 days stillman and 2 days atkins so i can also have variety and have to have lots of water so ill meet u at the water cooler girl...

Fancy wtg at at stopin at 1 lick very good controll - blue bunny was a better choice and lots of water and gettin away from the bake sale will get u back where u wanna be you will have to join me and Joyce at the water cooler hehehe good luck girls hope every one has a great day ......

HEATHER wtg on ur loss!!!!! its basically lean meat, eggs, low fat cottage cheese you should come check out some the stillmans threads great info I started using it after almost a 11 month stall then i was playing with the same 20 pound gain and loss for toolong so i started the stillmans and i really lost alot , it takes away all hunger for sure and definatly got my weight to moveing down ward real fast im doing 10 days on stillmans and 2 days atkins so i can enjoy some veggies every now and then but basically on stillmans u lose a pound a day. It really is working well for me I drink alot of water on it tho like i can almost float hehehe , but seems like when i think im hungry or just wanna munch from habit im drinking really cold water and it seems to be a mind game and its working for me , cuz im really not hungry its just them old bad habits of wanting to eat when watching tv kinda thing TOM officially arrived today so ill see if i can lose while TOM is here . Im on the get er done challenge over at stillmans too and it keeps me motivated they got some seasoned stillman dieters over there which have great advise also they seem to also cycle between the atkins and stillmans .....I guess I just want to get the weight moving after being on such along stall and im gettin good results so keeps me motivated hope i helped alil ,,,, I have no appetite for sure so that is also a great tool for me right now.... keep the scales moving down is what i say gl girl cant wait to see how well we do this week girls!!!!!!!

20 pounds in 9 days?? You rule, magickal 1. I am definitely going to read up on Stillman's. A pound a day would just be great, great, great.

Way to go, Heather! So glad you're on the "down swing" now!

I am BEGGING for a loss when I weigh on Tuesday.
