I went shopping a little bit today and I have gone down at least one size from a 22w to a 20w. My question is that the 18w's I can get on and zipped but they are a bit snug. Do you think I should wait a little longer and try them on again to see if they fit better or buy the 20w's or buy the 18w's so I have something to work towards? I'm looking at capri's and bermuda's and stuff for summer so I will have a little while before I start wearing them.

I know how you feel. I'm "cleaning up" what I've been eating so I can hopefully start to see some movement on the scale. I really wish I had my previous measurements and then figure out how to do it myself (where to measure, etc..).

You could do what I've been doing--wear the same clothes you have now. Yes, I have to bunch up my pants on the side so I've got a "custom pleat" going on. I'm on the last notch of my belt so I'll have to get a new one of those here soon, I looked today but all I could find were ones with sparkles, massive cowboy style buckles or ones that say "DIVA" or PRINCESS". Shoot, I'm no princess. I could just put a new hole in it and look completely awesome.

Alright, I'm off to 'macgyver' my belt. I hope you all have a great week!

Hang in there Heather. You're doing the right things and when your body becomes adjusted, I believe you are going to see the whoosh fairy!

Stacie, I know what you mean about the size thing. My shorts and capris from last year will just not make it too many times... I am leaning towards getting what is snug right now--- Not sure if I can keep mine on too much longer... went walking this weekend and had to carry my cell phone....... just the weight of the cell phone was enough to keep my shorts sliding off. Yikes! Was totally frustrated with having to hold the waistband while I walked, but that is what I did.

Jennifer hope you have a great time in New Orleans!

Glad you're feeling better Elizabeth -- hope you continue to improve.

Bav the belt idea sounds great, but like you, I cannot find anything decent looking in my size. Gonna keep looking though.... might have helped this weekend. Would hate to lose my shorts somewhere. Would not be a pretty sight! Lol!

Have a great week everyone!!

I may never fit into smaller pants after the way I ate today. ...I did fine at dinner I had meat and green beans. The desserts got me. I had chocolate covered strawberries, cookies and some peanut butter thing. I hope I don't gain too much I know I will. I'm regretting it now blah! All I can do is get right back into it tomorrow! I'm going to have to learn that just because everyone else is eating desserts doesn't make it alright for me to have them to.

FancyFace- We haven't had a decent day for me to wear my shorts and capri's from last year but I tried some on and there just too loose. Even my pants right now I think they've been stretched in every way so they are not only sagging in the back but the crotch is hanging really low too. lol The 20's fit alright but I know if I keep losing I'll be wishing I got the 18's instead. I've never lost weight or been a normal size so I have absolutely no other clothes to fit into.

I am up two pounds in two weeks, but I know where I need to adjust, especially with controlling my cheats.

Heather,
When I can, I choose strict induction foods for two weeks and usually have a big whoosh by then....no substitutes, just induction foods. I would love to finish this month out that way. Would you or anyone else wish to jump on the induction wagon and wait to weigh next Tuesday. Hopefully our April Fools joke will actually be like a 5 lb whoosh. Anyone game?

Cindy: I am not planning to weigh in until Wednesday, April 2nd...but I'll go for the 1st with you!!!!

this weekend was great...I ate 90% on plan, and even the off-plan was a controlled portion and planned into the weekend...so I am thrilled. However, I'm entering the TOM-zone, so going to stay off the scale for the next week and wait for the water and bloat to come and go. Even then there might not be a loss...I seem to lose in big chunks then go 2-3 weeks with NOTHING! Blah.

I wish I was having the clothing problems y'all seem to be having - LOL. Despite having lost nearly 40 lbs all my clothes still fit. A couple of shirts are looser, but all still wearable. So, that tells me 1 of 2 things - either my clothes were EXTREMELY tight on me or I'm just so heavy that it will take a while for the sizes to start shrinking. either way, it's sort of depressing. I read how people have lost 10 or 12 lbs "and 2 dress sizes." good lawd - that will take MONTHS to happen for me!

today's menu:
B: LC monster
L: tuna fish, SF jello
D: salad

have a great afternoon!

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement! Cindy, I LOVE that idea and I am ON BOARD!!! I went completely off plan yesterday for Easter (I didn't go too crazy with sugary desserts or anything, but lots of carbs still), which I'd planned ahead to do. Starting tomorrow, I will be eating mostly grilled chicken, tuna, Oopsies (I think these are completely induction-ok?), eggs, salad, broccoli, and cauliflower. I'll definitely stick to this through April 1st, but I also plan to keep it going through April 8th... to make it a full two weeks of Induction again! I want to see a WHOOSH!!!

The GOOD news is that I finally re-did my measurements, and in about two weeks I've lost just over 9 inches from around different areas of my body!!! I am so glad to finally have a number to look at to see that this is working since the scale is still fluxuating up and down the same few pounds!

I'm weighing on the first for the first time since my initial (off the scales) weigh in. I've been sticking pretty much to induction for the month. I'm hoping to hit 299 so I can see a change from April 1 to May 1

9 inches is awesome Heather!!

Cindy, I am with you and will weigh on the 1st. I did great through Easter, but today I have wanted to munch -- kept it lower carb but had a rough day. TOM is coming and I always get this way. Refocusing is just what I need.

Here's to a whoosh for everyone!!

Heather,
That is a lot of inches. Congratulations. One thing I have noticed over the past month is that my pants are starting to fall off, yet I haven't really lost. I cannot wait to be able to buy size 22's, then 20's and just to think about size 18 gives me goosebumps. Just think, the skinny minnies would throw up thinking about a size 18 and I want it

Here is my induction friendly menu for today:

Breakfast: 4 sausage links, 2 cups coffee with cream
Snack: celery, 3 slices of cheddar cheese
Lunch: 1 hot dog, 1/2 cucumber
Snack: 1/2 cucumber
Dinner: McD's Grilled Bacon Ranch Salad, no dressing or croutons, but I will add extra shredded cheddar. (husband went to 2nd shift, no cooking for me)

Water, I am on my 3rd bottle of 16.9 oz, I need to get at least 2 more down. Do any of you have clearer skin with all the water intake?

Have a good afternoon.
Cindy

Back from New Orleans. Eating was OK, but could have been much worse so I'm happy. I "confessed" all here Jennifer's Journal

fancyface - When I did Atkins the first time I started at just about your starting weight (309). I was about 220 before anyone noticed. Also, remember that some people may be reluctant to say anything for fear of insulting you. Little do they know, we live for those compliments! Hope someone notices soon.

Stacie - I'd wait till closer to the time you'll wear the summer clothes. You may be in an even smaller size then!

Elizabeth - There's definitely more leeway in plus sizes. I don't know what size you started at, but I started in a 5x & I wore them for months.; at least 50 lbs or so, if not more. You'll be in smaler sizes soon!

MissMinda - I'm weighing for the first time since my carb meltdown on 4/1 too. My fingers are crossed for both of us

Hello everyone! I cannot believe I haven't posted in this challenge since January. That means I've wasted the month of February and most of March. I've gotten back on track this past week, and I see where some of you are going to do induction and not weigh 'til the 1st of April. I'd like to join in if it's okay.

This challenge has mostly different people than the ones here when I was; so I guess now I'm the newcomer! I hope you don't mind if I join back in!

Joyce~ Glad you're back... and that you want to re-induct with some of us!!!

Minda and Cindy~ Way to go on those pants! All victories count!!!

To be honest, I thought it would be easy to jump right back on plan... but I have cheated again today. SO, tonight I'm cooking up a bunch of chicken, making a double batch of oopsies, and getting rid of all the carby foods in our house that were here for Easter! To quote one of my favorite movies, "After all, tomorrow is another day!"

Hi everyone! How are you doing today? So far, so good for me. Late evening is when I face a battle, though. Today, I updated my stats because since playing around too much the last 6 or 7 weeks, my weight is up 10 lbs. which sucks. My hardest part right now is going to be staying off the scale til next Tuesday, lol.

Everybody post and tell us how you're doing. Let's get this thread really active so it will encourage and strengthen all of us.

Congratulations to all of you who are losing so well. About buying new clothes, well when I finally did, that's when people really noticed I had lost weight. It's a great feeling to buy a few things in a smaller size. Just buy enough to get by with though, because hopefully you won't be wearing it very long! I also gave away the larger sizes. I can't afford to gain anything back!! I'm hoping that soon I'll have progress to post.

Joyce

I know that I slack with posting too, but I will make an effort to post more. We do need each other's support, especially being in the same boat.

Heather....you will get back on plan, you have been doing so well.

Today's Induction menu includes:

Breakfast: 4 sausage links, 3 cups of coffee with cream
Snack: Stalk of Celery
Lunch: KFC original recipe, skinned peeled off except one little sneak, celery
Snack: sliced cheese and sausage
Dinner: Cottage cheese, salad with tuna on top

Oh, I am behind on water, time to get with it. I have a detox headache as well. I guess I should look at that like a good thing.

Have a nice day.

It's Coconut Oil chocolate bark... and it is YUMMY!!!

I'm not sure who the credit goes to, but the recipe is:

4T coconut oil
2T unsweetened cocoa powder
2T natural peanut butter
3 packets of Splenda

Melt the oil, mix in the other ingredients, pour into an ice cube tray, freeze for a few miutes, and you have yummy mini chocolate bars that are Induction friendly (well, the peanut butter isn't exactly, but it's only 2 T and you don't eat it all at once even)!

Well, I've definitely been missing peanut butter. I'm munching on some string cheese right now and I'd probably down the whole tray of those if it was in front of me. hehe

It does sound delicious!
