Thanks for starting the new thread!

I'm up to 214 today (+.5), (TOM). Drinking lots of water and watching my sodium. I looked at my old fitday account... the last time I was at this weight was in June of 2004 (first time LC-ing, I was down to 198 then gained it ALL back.. all the way back to 250).

I really want to be in onderland. Hopefully I'll have a good month.

Hope everyone is still on track and drinking lots of water.

Thanks for starting the new thread!

I'm stuck, stalled out. My weight hasn't budged (other than the obligatory +/- 1 lb) since November 1. So I'm switching up my regimen, seeing if that will make a difference---switching to Optimal Nutrition, slightly higher carbs, slightly lower protein. I hope it will get things moving. I **feel** better.

Keep it up, everyone!

I hope things get moving as well!

Speaking of getting things moving... I've decided to up my exercise. I'm going to stay at the gym longer than I have been and try out some of the weight machines instead of just the elliptical and stationary bike. I'm going to ask for help from one of the people there just to make sure my 'form' is okay and that I'm using the machine correctly.

I am so stubborn with myself sometimes. I still look at myself in the mirror and see the same person as I was almost 40 pounds ago.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

If any of you are in the Denver area and are not watching the SuperBowl today, come meet me at the gym!! (PM me for where). Let's get hot and sweaty! wooo!!

Hi!

I've been sick with sinus infection/ear ache. And I've been eating nothing but junk. Ugh! I'm feeling human again, & back on plan tomorrow!

I'm up this week due to starting back on my exercise program. Until my body stops storing water for my workouts I'll be carrying an extra 7 lbs of water weight. (sigh). In about a week though I expect a big drop

Good luck to everyone in the coming week and I hope all of our scales move in the right direction.

had a great week working a volunteer ministry...it was nice because DH and I were able to work together. it was a TON of work, with almost no sleep for the past 4 days...but really worth it.

have a good night!

Thanks for starting the new thread Elizabeth and for keeping up with everyones stats~I can't believe 336 already!!! Can you imagine what that number will look like in Nov?WTG everyone!

For those that are stuck maybe its time to remeasure? I measured at the beginning of Jan and then again just today and have lost 10 inches in 1 month. Before that I didn't feel like I had lost very much. Sure the scale is down but there are times it stalls and even goes up a few lbs when Ive stayed OP. So this really helped me to see the bigger picture. Hope it does the same for you.

Good morning everyone!

What a weekend - not a good one food wise - I was bad!!

We had a 50th B-Day party for a dear friends husband.....that cake was calling my name

Then yesterday we had some friends over for the superbowl - now mind you I made plan friendly foods but I ate far more of them than I should have!

Back on plan today, hopefully I haven't done to much damage.

Jennifer - I hope you are feeling better

Wow - I can't believe how many pounds we lost as a group - that is simply amazing!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Take Care

Today's my weigh day...up 2 lbs! 231. GRRRR!!! I was afraid that this would happen. I think I'll give it one more week of "regular" Atkins induction, going to the gym & up my water; if that doesn't work then it looks like I'll have to do the fat fast.

My clothes are fitting better but it sux to see a gain!

WOW 336 lbs!!!! Incredible!!!! What encouragement to go the distance!!! I'm down a little for a total of 12.5 lbs. so far.

We had new appliances delivered and the old ones hauled away so DH is installing the dishwasher. The water is turned off. I'm supposed to be cleaning the carpets in our kids rooms today but I guess I'm on hold for a bit. Carpet cleaning should be good exercise, don't you think? It's one of the machines you can rent at the grocery store.

Gonna put in the crockpot pork chop dinner as soon as DH is done. Then I won't have to think about dinner and can clean to my little heart's content.

Have a healthy day everyone!

Good morning ev1!

Where did we all go?

It's so nice to be back and on a schedule again. The last week was pretty brutal. I'm still up a lb or 2, but I know it's because of the weird schedule, no sleep and not enough water each day.

Just a quick stop since I'm at work...

Confession: I didn't put my heart into it in January.

But with the new month, I started again and now I'm done 5 lbs. Only 95 to go!!!

Hello on this brite Tuesday morning!

I'm back down to 244 today. My weight has been climbing since I added back in my exercise. I know it's temporary, but it's still frustrating.

I've also been letting the carbs sneak back in again, so I have to watch that.

I weigh in on Thursday for the week so I'm hoping to at least be where I started and not higher then.

Good luck to everyone this week.

Hello everyone! I realized I'd never made the jump to the new thread... oops! It sounds like we're all doing pretty well.

I was really good during SuperBowl (NO CHEATING!) and yesterday I ended up at the hospital all day to welcome my new adorable neice!!! Again, I didn't cheat at all! I'm really proud of myself.

Today is my official two week weigh-in... and I'm EXACTLY where I was last week... but, I had been fluctuating between 3 pounds higher and this all week, so I'm happy to be down a total of 12 lbs in two weeks still. I'm eating less (or maybe no?) lc yogurts and lc tortillas, so we'll see if that does the trick this week. I'm also really working hard on my water intake (you can check out my blog for my full menus). Any other suggestions?

Best of luck to all of us this week! WE CAN DO IT!!!

I was good over Super Bowl weekend (not into football...so it works out for me!). But I've had a salad from Chipotle two nights in a row, thinking I was doing it pretty LC...but after I looked up the real nutritional information I got a wake up call. My salad was over twenty carbs! AAAh! So the last two days in a row I probably had about thirty carbs instead of twenty. Grrrr...stupid me for not researching beforehand.

Drinking extra water in hopes to off set it a little and will go running in the morning! But I've lost weight in the last two weeks so I am happy overall! Good job everyone!

Drive-by posting because today is my weigh-in: no loss, no gain. I'm actually quite happy with that, because of the wild & crazy schedule I was on last week, and the lack of proper nutrition because of it. So....this week has been back on plan, on schedule, and on with the fight!!

Wednesday is weigh-in day for lots of folks, I hope you share what's going on in your life, up or down, so we can hang in there together.

Good morning!

*banging head on desk* 244.6...I'm wondering if someone substituted my scale for a yo yo...

More water, more movement....hopefully this will help in the coming week.

I was "banging my head" this morning...and DH and I were talking in the car. He mentioned that I haven't eaten hardly anything the past week. We started going over everything, and come to the conclusion that I need to seriously up my intake. But of course, we were already in the car - and I have a nearly empty desk - which is pretty unusual for me....

Sooooooo.....I've had some reduced sugar instant oatmeal, a cup of coffee, and in about an hour I'll have some tuna. All before lunch!

Now that this volunteer commitment is over, we're also going to start planning our ***cue dramatic music here*** Return to the Gym. LOL

Wednesday Weigh-in

Good morning!!

Oh boy....I am paying for my food choices over the weekend - I'm up 4lbs today Hopefully some of it is water weight!!

I'm still working on increasing my exercise - some days it's tougher than others - just from a scheduling perscpective

I did manage 30 minutes on the treadmill last night and will try to accomplish the same tonight. Tomorrow I am going to water aerobics - nothing is going to get in my way

I hope that everyone is having a great day!!

Take Care

Hi Everyone.
Sorry I have been a bit missing in action, but I probably will not be on much in the next week or so. My mom is nearing the end and all of my time is spent at the hospital or on the phone making plans. She is 62 and has spreading cancer which has taken the best of her. I am home today because we have a foot of snow on the ground with more coming down, therefore I cannot get out of my driveway. I thought it would make me feel better to log on and see how you are doing and wow, some of you are really losing, some are struggling but are positive about a plan to continue. I am down a bit...lucky me...been eating little, nothing or some wrong choices at the hospital. I will check in later.
Have a good day.

After putting everything I had into the month of January, I was greeted by a mere 2 pound loss. I decided to drop out of the lowcarb race and joined a weight loss center.

Guess that puts me out of the 100 pounds by November thread since I'm not doing it like y'all.

Thanks for having me. May you all have a great year in weight loss!

dusk~Dont leave us. We'd still love to hear how you're doing. You will find what works for you, best wishes in your WL journey too!

It seems like we have a small trend going on here. I too am up in weight. 2.2 lbs to 210 even. I was thrilled by the 10 inch loss in 1 month so im not as bummed as I would have been...but I did have some aweful thoughts. Nothing like sticking to LC and not getting rewarded for it. I did have extra, cheese, cream, nuts,LC snack on Super Bowl Sunday but thought that my goodness beofre that day would help offset the scale come weigh in day. Oh well, gotta keep plugging along.

Hugs all!

WOW!!! you're doing something right, that's for sure!!!

today's plan:
B: lo-sugar oatmeal
S: 8 oz canned green beans
L: tuna, pork rinds
S: almonds
D: not sure, I think DH has a board mtg, so I might be on my own!

I want to encourage everyone to check in...even if you think you aren't doing as well as you'd hope. Accountability and encouragement is one of the most important aspects of succesful weight loss...and good or bad...I hope we're here for each other!!
