NedN,
Congrats!
You are doing wonderful!

Can you share a few of your typical day's intake with us? I would like to hit 1/4 of my 100 lb goal this month, and if you would please give us a few examples, maybe we can whoooooosh with you.

Nice job,
Cindy

great job, Cindy!!!

I'm still here, trying to kick this cough/chest/respiratory thing. I do pretty well during the day, but by the time I'm headed home I'm just a wreck, and crawl into bed.

Everything has been on-plan, although yesterday I ate and ate and ate. It was all legal, but I'm not sure what was driving the hunger. And here I sit today, my stomach is GROWLING and RUMBLING -- out loud!!! I have a meeting at 1:00, which is before I'll have a chance to eat lunch today, so I'm going to have a protein shake to give it something to stir about so that it doesn't growl like this during a meeting. LOL

During the work week my plan has been looking like this:
B: EAS protein shake
S: 28 almonds
L: grilled chicken breast, Dannon Lite N Fit Carb & Sugar Control yogurt
S: 2 low-fat string cheese
D: meat, eggs, salad and/or cheese (of some variation)

on the weekends it's been "go, go, go", so I modify whatever's available or provided to be LC...and carry on.

you are all so inspiring, and I always look forward to see how everyone's doing. Wednesday is weigh-in, so here's hoping the scale shows the work! have a great afternoon!!!

just popping in to say, Hi!

no loss and I am beginning to feel like I never will reach my goals, but I am still sticking with it. I feel like the water exercise is just not as effective as the walking was.

I hope you all are having a great wednesday.

Hi all, sorry I have been missing in action lately. You all have been busy and seem like a bunch of "loser's" Great job all!

I had a panic attack, first ever, at work last Thursday and left early to go to Dr. He put me on Ativan and that stuff has knocked me for a loop! All I did was sleep! Went to the Dr yesterday again to see if I could get a diff drug, because the ativan is nuts! He prescribed me lowest dosage .5 and I was halfing the pills and still slept for 14-18 hours a day! He didn't give me new drugs, just told me to take a quarter of the pill instead of half.

So not much else has changed. I havent lost or gained. Guess thats a plus, wasnt able to drink all the water I needed to and I even ate a piece of pizza. But I am back on track again, drinking all the water I should these past 2 days. Started working out today with Richard Simmons. OMG I am out of shape! Will probably be sore as heck tomorrow! But I did work out, so thats a plus and I am still in ketosis, so maybe it will start to come off again. The Dr said my blood sugar is doing so good on this diet, so there is another reason to stay on track. (oops, I said the diet word)

Well, just wanted you all to know, I am still here, plugging along and ready to get serious again. I can't believe all that time that I wasnt cooking for myself, I still stayed pretty much on track. Great job hubby for making me salads and eggs and bacon and stuff like that.

Well just wanted to check in with you all, I bet you thought I had given up on this! Talk to you all soon.

Hi Ladies!

Sorry I've been MIA. Busy & not feeling 100%.

I've been ravenous the past couple of days too & have been eating, eating, eating. Nothing off plan, but too much of a good thing. DH & I are going back to Induction this weekend just to get back to basics.

Take care everyone!

good news... around thanksgiving I started gearing up for my Dec 3rd start date on SB. So by the time 12/3/07 arrived, I lost 5 lbs... but I marked my signature with the 12/3 weight... anyway, I lost another 2 today... the last 2 weeks I have been bouncing around the same number... now in the last 2 days, I am down 4 lbs...

so since the week after thanksgiving, I have lost 24... since 12/3 it is 19.... I am so shocked... surprised... i don't know what to think... I just kept staring at the scale this am... lol

hope you get to feeling better. I hate when my medication gets "tweaked", it always takes me a couple weeks to recover.

isn't that weird?!?! DH thinks my body was trying to replenish my immune system after working so hard the past couple weeks. I'm now back to "nothing sounds good; I guess I'll eat because I should..."

you're amazing!! keep it up, girl!!

TMI ahead....if "something" doesn't happen today, I'm going to have to get some Russell Stovers and make "something" happen. I'm so uncomfortable and bloated....I've been drinking LOTS of water, taking SF fiber pills, have eaten 2 huge salads....NOTHING. I even drank coffee while riding in the car this morning (a throwback to old eating habits....) just to see if that would trigger "something" by the time I got to work. Nothing! Anyway....

Today's plan:
B: Coffee w/ cream & splenda
S: Atkins granola bar
L: SF PB&J, Dannon L&F C&SC yogurt
S: Pistachios
D: Chicken ceasar salad

I've added one more accomplishment to my week...I've had OVER 80oz of water every day so far. WOW! for me that's a big deal...because it usually gives me really bad heartburn. So, I've been putting a small amount of SF drink mix in with it....and it helps a lot. I use the walmart brand of crystal light. yummy!

have a great day ev1 !!!

good morning westcoasters, and afternoon to the rest!

the scale finally moved down a teeny bit this morning- Like Jennifer I have overdone the legal foods for a long time. I hope to work toward moderation.

good afternoon - I've been gone a few days- don't really know why except I've slept too much and had to get a late start on many chores.

I weighed this a.m. and have now lost 10 lbs. yay! DH and I have today and Sat. left on Induction. I wonder what 5 gr. carbs he'll want to add to his daily count??? Me, well, I haven't really been counting and writing down my food. I just keep it really simple. I'm not bored with the food choices, yet, but am prepared to do up new meals when we are. So, I'm not sure what I'll add. Maybe blueberries. Any suggestions??

I'm not sure how to quote someone on this thread so bear (or is it bare? ) with me ...
"I'm still here, trying to kick this cough/chest/respiratory thing. I do pretty well during the day, but by the time I'm headed home I'm just a wreck, and crawl into bed."

I KNOW!!! I thought it was the flu due to chills and sweats, then cough and heavy chest feeling. But now, I have this awful lingering cough that sounds like I need to check in to TB rehab.

"TMI ahead....if "something" doesn't happen today, I'm going to have to get some Russell Stovers and make "something" happen. Nothing! Anyway...."

I'm not sure what TMI means but the rest of your post suggests maybe a tea called "Smooth Move" (NO KIDDING ) may be in order. Traditional Medicines Chocolate Smooth Move herbal stimulent laxative. I've never tried it but have some on hand just in case...

Menu:
Brunch: some ground beef with grated cheese, salsa, and sour cream on top
Snack: maybe some cottage cheese with splenda and pumpkin pie spice mixed in (an old WW trick to disguise the taste of plain cottage cheese)
Dinner: beanless chilli, now cooking in the crockpot - yummy! course there'll be cheese and a "dollup of Daisy"
Snack: SF jello with WC

Have a healthy evening

Barb, in the bottom right of each post, there's a big button that says "QUOTE" on it---you can click it, and you'll get taken to a text entry box, with that particular message already quoted in the box. Just put your cursor at the end of that quoted message, and start typing.

The middle button has a "+" and a quote sign on it---that's for multiple quotes. When you want to respond to multiple posts, click that middle button as you read along. You'll see it turn read. When you're ready to respond to everyone, click the middle button on the last message you want to include in your response, then also click the "QUOTE" button on just that last message.

You'll get taken to a box with all of the messages you selected already quoted for you. You can cut text within those messages if you want, or leave them whole. If you do cut, be careful to leave the square brackets at the beginning and end of that quote "[ ]" alone, as well as what's typed inside them.

Just put your cursor after the last bracket of the particular message you want to reply to, type your response, and move to the next message in your multi-quote.

HTH, hon! It took me forever to figure that out, and I didn't, until someone spelled it out for me! lol

Courtney

DH and I are just winding down our Induction phase. It hasn't been too bad. He's not sure how much he's lost since our scale doesn't register his weight yet. I've lost 10 lbs. so far. YAY for me!

It looks like YAY for you, too, Courtney!

Just4me: thanks for the instructions. I'll refer to them, believe me!!! I usually go to the post icon on the left of the page so I can scroll down while I'm writing and remember what others wrote or asked. I'm not sure I can do both.

Tonight I have a Quilt In. That's when we gather at our local quilt shop and work on our quilting projects till as close to midnight as we can keep our eyes open. It's alot of fun and I usually get alot done. We have dinner - ordered out - so it'll be interesting to see what's ordered????? I CAN adapt, tho. I just had a LC tortilla with melted cheese, a hard-boiled egg, and for my sweet tooth - 1T PB with whipped cream on top. That should help me be not so tempted to cheat.

I made LC chili in the crockpot last night and boy, was it yummy and filling!

have a healthy evening
