Good morning. Ok today is the day. I am restarting just like the beginning. Total induction and Curves and walking. I am on my way to Curves in about 10 minutes. I am so hoping for a big drop this first two weeks (big meaning 10 pounds) becauseI have been off LCing for about 9 days and fortunately I have stayed in the range of my latest plateau. So that is good news. I was maintaining in that area for 9 days of eating yukky carbs. But...here we go again.
BUG- WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW ![]() ![]() THAT IS AWESOME. YES,, I AM SHOUTING!! Way to go. How does it feel? What an accomplishment. I am so so so happy for you and proud. Look at all your walking too. How healthy are you feeling? wowsa'Hope you all have a great day. I am going to Curves right now before I find something else to do. Older kids are doing school work and younger ones are building a fort with pillows and blankets and eating cheerios!! TATA

Tiffani
Have a fantastic workout. I actually got back into the walking this morning. I have missed it and it really does start the day off right for me to get on the treadmill before starting a long day. 40 pounds feels GREAT! It's the little things that have added up this time that really make me feel good and I *know* that I can get there this time. Support is key from all of you!I see changes in my body with 40 and can't wait to see another 40 gone! I actually have a lower stomach It's getting smaller. I actually have long legs that are actually getting toned from the walking. I have went from 46DDD bra down to a 42DDD today! I'm still in a 24 jean, down from a 28 size in jean, but I think that will be changing soon to a size 22. Also, my feet are smaller - they're not as round. Little things really do add up to a big thing. Every time I *think* about giving up, I remember these things! |

Bug: Congratulations on the 30 lbs. WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kbetz: 240's Faaaaaaaaaaaaantastic. Awesome job. Each decade is such a great way to mark progress. I remember reaching the 240's and it felt great!Lisa: Glad you're back. Yes, Oct. 1 marks a new month. I'm ready to dig in too. Tiffani: We can do this. I was such a bad girl this weekend. Shame on me. I told Kbetz I was going to eat clean, but I failed miserably. And, for a present, my weight is up too. When am I going to learn I plan to exercise more this week. I've kind of let that go by the wayside. I did walk the 12 miles this weekend though.Ms. Trudy: Please jump right in. We need all the help we can get. This thread can be really fun if we get lots of posts. Jennifer, you keep dropping the lbs. You are so disciplined. I need to stay focused. So, I would love to drop 10 in October, but how about I try for 5? It's hard for me to set weight loss goals because I lose so slowly. On another note, my SIL who is a nurse, is 5'10". I'm 5'8". Her weight loss goal is to get to 180. She said I shouldn't try for much less than that. I've had so many people tell me not to lose anymore. Jealous? I don't know, but I've got to keep losing. No BMI calculator shows me at a "healthy" weight. I'm still in the overweight category, and I want to be healthy.

AHH. That felt good. Nice and sweaty.
![]() Lisa- Did you guys do as well as you expected this weekend? I bet it was fun. Have you ever froze your fudge? If you air tight it, it should be good for the holidays still. I use to bake for the Thanksgiving and Christmas and sell for extra money. Mainly cheesecakes and cookies, but fudge and buckeyes were a part of the cookie trays. I would make up the fudge and buckeyes early and freeze. Then I would make up the cookie dough and freeze and just pull them out and bake when needed. I thought about doing it this year, but i don't really want the extra stress this year. I am really trying hard to stay focused on the ministries that God has assigned me and work on them til everything is in order and comes natural. I haven't felt this ALIVE in a long time. Always held in bondage from my past. Well, now that I have been redeemed, ahh. A whole new perspective on things. I have a lot to learn and I have wasted so much time on other things, mainly stupid self things, that I am ready to move forward now. It takes a lot of dedication for me and time. I am the type of person where it is all or nothing. Cold turkey type. But...I miss the baking too. Well, that sure got off the subject, didn't it? That's me!! Yes, we can do this. I am kicking it into gear this week, how 'bout you? |

Dream- I hear ya'. It's a new day though, right? I am so ready. I am just thankful that I didn't gain a lot of my weight back. I am hoping it really relaxed my body though so that it will melt away the next few weeks, just like in the beginning. But if not...oh well. I am in this for the long haul!! You have been doing so good. Keep it up. It seems everyone here is an inspiration to each other in one way, shape or form.
Jennifer- You rock, girl!! Great job on losing more poundage!! You are so successful. ![]() Mstrudy- Glad to see you are still around. Hope everything is going good for you both in the LC weight loss journey and just daily living. God Bless. |

Bug- Thanks!! And I hear you about the little things!! my feet are smaller too. I need new shoes. And the bra size, oh yeah. The band size has gone down a good amount. I am waiting for the cup size too now. I really would like to be down to at least a DD if not smaller. I was told that it might be one of the last things to go.
I could definately go down in shirts if they went down too. And it seems that they make all these "plus" shirts so low cut. Hello, bigger women means bigger boobs. Don't really like to show anyone them. I have a huge stock pile of safety pins and most of my shirts I have to close up. Oh well I guess. hey, it looks like you may be real close to your goal if you finish this month out good. I am going to really try hard to start all over again. I am finding it hard to eat right now. I know I have to eat to lose, but like today, I have been so busy with the kids, Curves, LIFE, I haven't eaten anything yet. i had coffee and water though!! OK. I guess I will wise up and go eat. Keep pushing girl. Nice job on the walking!!Hello KBetz, Divine, Penny, BPgurl, and who ever else I missed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ahhhhhh, and a big Yippy followed by a Oh My can I really do this?
Yep you guessed it I have no idea what I am doing but I am happy. My kids home schooling computers arrived today and they are sitting in the living room waiting for DH. I have loged on to the programs on our current computer and after I spent over an hour saying Ok I get that and alittle bit of what and where are you getting this info from, I realized that I dont have 1st of all full access yet and 2nd of all the other shipment hasnt arrived.(Text books, etc) Ok so now I have offically told the school that they are being transfered to a distance learning program, and DS has already left, I have no clue what to do. DD wanted to stay the rest of the day. I didnt want my DS to know that I am flying by the seat of my pants, so I printed off some work sheets form the net and made him do them. I'll just keep fakeing it untill everything comes. ( should be tomarrow) I just dont want them to get the idea that they are going to play all day. As far me and keeping my mind and craveings under control during this time. I am doing ok. Let me appolize that I may go MIA a little bit while I get the wrinkls smothed out of everything. Every one good luck and happy weight loss wooshes.

Tiffiny , yes I tell everyone that they can freeze it... it helps with the sell
lolalthough I am not sure I want this stuff in my house....lol... temptation, well I know I can be weak sometimes, not a good idea We made really well this weekend.... its funny how sometimes God seems to multiply the money, even when you think things are slow and you are not doing that well..... One year Dh did his peanut there and it was our first year.... he didn't cook enough and by lunch the boiler was getting low... he was so scared he was going to run out.... he would scoop and hit the bottom and it will feel so empty, but yet he sold peanuts for about 3 more hours...lol.... even though we came home with porkrinds, peanuts, fudge, brittle.... we made over 1200 dollars for the weekend.... hard to believe... and yes it was so slow.... we didn't get to go last year, because of my broken ankles.... and last year and this year they had someone new running it... they aren't very good at it.... there was less then 12 venders there this year....And it didn't seem like as many people... but yet we made good.... what can I say other then " God is Good" it was cold up on the mountain top... and the wind blew like crazy during the nights...... but we had a beautiful weekend with cool temps.... it was really nice |

Thanks for the nice words ladies. You're making me
![]() My feet are smaller too & I can wear shoes I haven't been able to wear in quite some time. I noticed that the shoes I was wearing yesterday were very loose. The girls aren't shrinking at all, just the band size. DH is happy ![]() Lisa - Glad you had a nice weekend, & $1,200 is ![]() How did you manage with 2 broken ankles? I broke one summer before last and it was just awful! Can't imagine both. Glad you're having nice weather. Dreams - I've always heard that the rule of thumb is 100 lbs + 5 lbs for each inch over 5', so 140 for someone 5'8", which I think is too low (I think that's more for small framed people) You look fantastic in the wedding photos & looked like you had 20-25 lbs at the most to lose. If even that. Go by how you feel best. You need to keep up your strength for your hikes! kbetz - That is so exciting! If I'm blessed with kids & am able to stay home with them, I'd love to homeschool. |

Yeah, Lisa, that is a sweet chunk of change!! Nice!!
Well, i did it. I stayed on it and it was pretty easy today. But it is usually after the second week where I have a hard time. Like the third - forth week. If I can get past them, it'll be OK. I haven't decided if I am going to weigh myself tomorrow or wait til the end of the week. Knowing me I will see what the scale says. I can "smell" the ketosis already though!! That is a good thing. |

Lisa- 1200 is pretty good. You guys deserved it.You worked hard. Was that actual profit?
It seems like everyone is shrinking. I have had to retire one pair of shoes already. Jenifer- As for the HSing ask me in a few months. I am on a emotional roller coster with TOM, and DD decided tonight that she will miss her friends to much and is not sure. We "told" her that she needs to give it a try for the year and if she wants to go back she can. I feal like what rite do I have, sometimes. She went to preschool with some of these kids and she thinks that her little world is crumbleing around her. She will still see 3 of them all the time. She just dosnt get it yet. I keep teling my self the most important thing is her future and not being popular. She will be 6 in a few weeks not 16. She can be popular in other ways. She has a couple of programs shes in. I need to find a home school support group so that they are around other kids with lifes like there own. I think it was Tiffany who said that she has been to buisy to eat and that you loose better when you do eat. I need to remember that. I have been finding that if I am buisy I grab some cheese or some vegg. ( no lunch meats for awhile after that 7 # gain) Cheese and veggies are great but I need to get more protein in. I am actually thinking about adding in the shakes again at lunch time. I would rather have real food, but I found my self tonight haveing a hard time consentrating enough to carry on a conversation. This means I am not eating enough of anything. cals, carbs, fats, etc. Ok 2 last quick comments 1. the other day DS 8y/o grabed my under arm when I raised my arm in the air. He said mommy what happend to your arm. Normally I would have been embarced, but I was actually happy. He ment from all of the loose skin. Not jiggle fat, but loose skin. I can actually pull the skin way away from my arm. Keep in mind I am only 28 so its not from ageing. Its like a saggy ballon. This last drop must have come from my arms. We laughed about it for a long time. I'm not going to worry , it will gi away just like the rest of it does. Its in cycles. 2. My oldest 2 kids keep telling me which part of my body that is getting smaller. I dont ask, they just come up and say stuff like "mom, when I hug you your chest doesnt get in the way as much, and they feal close to me. " Has any one else had family or a spouse say anything like this. Its a feal good shareing moment ladies. details, details. |

Morning everyone! Running a little slow this morning. Working on coffee right now to wake me up. Got home last night at 1:30AM and then back to work this morning at 8AM. Can someone pass me some toothpicks to keep my eyes open.
Needless to say, I didn't walk this morning. Will try to get back on path tomorrow morning. I was lucky this morning just to get out of bed. DH let me sleep in to the last moment that I absolutely *had* to get up. Everyone hang tight and keep thinking positive thoughts. We can do this together!! ![]() Will check back in a little later this morning. |

What a wonderful morning. Now I remember why I like going on this LC woe. I usually lose up to 8 lbs. the first day. And the scale read 247.6 this morning. That is a total of 6.6 lbs. lost yesterday. SWEET!! I guess it got me over that 50's plateau. And it sure makes it easier to eat right today. I will do treadmill today. Taking it slow so I don't hurt legs again.
It's funny too, I have that little extra energy thing going on again, just like the first week all over again. Well actually it is a first week again. I was up to 2 am. playing internet spades, reading Bible, and grading school work. Now that I have a high schooler, it's a little different with his work. A lot more detailed recording and such. But still fun. HELP>>>>> I think I am going to get a colon cleanse. Any suggestions of products or best (cheapest helps too) ways. |

Good morning Bug!! Hang in there girl. I only have those pokie toothpicks. Don't think would feel good. Then again, the pain might help keep you awake! I feel for you girl. You have tomorrow night off right? BTW I am really impressed with your stats. WTG!!![]() WOW Lisa. That had to be a totally new experience. Wheel chairs make you so limited. My son broke his leg when he was in 3rd grade and had a full leg cast and had to use a wheel chair too. The funny thing was that I was on crutches when he broke it because I JUST had knee surgery. I was a single parent at the time, so everything was done by me alone. It was quite a sight seeing me on crutches pushing him in a wheel chair. Better yet, when I had to lift or carry him. He broke his leg in a summer league baseball game sliding into home plate. The catcher had caught the ball so he tried to "take the catcher out" so he would drop the ball and then he would be safe. Well, lets just say the catcher "took him out"!! The other funny thing was that his pediatrician was at one of the other ball fields and came over right away. So do you have any pain or stiffness in them from weather or anything? Regardless, i bet they are starting to feel better with the weight loss. My ankles and feet were really stiff. When I woke up in the morning or at night to go potty, I couldn't walk right away. I had to hang on to things and stumble and oh the pain. I also had heel spurs. Oh and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia too. This was back in March. I started Curves right away. I knew I had to get my body in shape. Within a week, the stiffness got less and the pains from the fibromyalgia were rare. I also pleaded the Blood of Jesus over it right away and got delivered from the sickness. Thank you Jesus!! The more and more I become stronger in my faith in God and my knowledge, the more amazed I am of all His wonders and power and authority. I am not sure it was really fibro, I think it was a demonic influenced illness to be told it was fibro. My sister has it and I know how dibilitating it is for her. So I think they were trying to convince me i was sick to diminish my walk and faith. See ya' deceivers!! Can't touch this!! |

kbetz- have fun today. Show them how fun it is and it's going to be. Let them see the benefits and rewards of HS. Also for DD, you can do a "cooking" class or whatever you want to call it and she help make cookies or something that she doesn't get to do often because she is either at school or doing homework after school. She can be a big part of dinner and grocery shopping now. Little girls love that stuff don't they? How fun. I remember when my mom would NOT let me help because it was more of a hassle for her. But my neighbor always let me come over and help her do stuff like canning and baking and such. It meant a lot to me. I think I am going to cry.
jk. Everything is going to be fine though. You might lose some hair or turn gray, but....![]() Divine- hello Lady. How are you? How is swimming going? Are you still able to find the time? How is HS going? How is your mom? You are doing awesome at this LC woe and are so helpful to us all. You are definately the wise one about this woe. THanks for keeping us all informed and encouraged. ![]() ![]() Are the leaves changing yet? We still have flowering trees and bushes here (Crepe Myrtles) . They bloom for like 3 or so months. They don't grow well up there though!! But I miss the smell of autumn. And I will definately miss the snow. Although it seems we didn't get as much snow up there as we did when we were kids. We use to live in West Olive. Just several miles of Lake Michigan and I remember how much snow we use to get. That was awesome. Snowed in for a week and out of school for two weeks. Making tunnels and forts. Riding our horses in the fields to make pictures. Oh those were the cold days. |

I'm trying and believe me it ain't easy! There are days which we all have and I feel strong and then there are others that I cave. You know this WOE is a life time plan not just a temporary fix. It didn't happen overnight and it's not going to come off overnight. I have issues with certain foods and of course there are some foods that I absolutely LOVE and can't have any more because of my medicines. One of those foods is hamburgers for some reason. I've been craving a juicy Wendy's hamburger for the longest and Saturday night me and DH had one. Well, it was a learning experience and the first one I've had on my medicine. It made me so and I know I can't have them. The cutest thing though was when I was in the bathroom my kittie, Hemi, came in the bathroom, jumped on the sink and was watching me hover over the commode. Everytime I was sick, he would reach out and touch my head with his paw like he was consoling me. It was so cute! He even went to bed with me afterwards and kept mothering me. He's so affectionate! |

MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Hi Ladies: It's great to see everyone posting again.
Lisa: What an ordeal. Two broken ankles. Oh my. I shattered my wrist roller blading and that was very traumatic. Yes, surgery, plates pins screws, etc. I do remember it was so painful, so I can't imagine how you did it with two broken ankles. I was off work for only three weeks, then went back because I was bored and worked with one hand.Bug: I don't have toothpicks, but maybe this will help. It must be so hard working the long hours. I did manage to squeeze in a walk yesterday on the college campus while DS was at his music lesson. Usually I go in with him to his lesson but he was auditioning and I didn't want to be a distraction. I hope to be able to hit the gym today. I know my lack of exercise is contributing to my gains along with poor eating.I did eat clean however yesterday, with the exception of some wheat thins, but I counted the carbs for them. Jennifer: Thanks for the complement and the vote of confidence. You are right and I probably will hopefully get to about 160 and be happy with the way I am. My walking partner is at 160 and she's 4 inches shorter than I am and she says that's where she is staying. We wear the same size now, so what will it be like 20 lbs from now. We will see what the upcoming months bring.Kbetz: Tiffani is right. HS'ing will bring new opportunities to your children. A whole new world of activities. Yes, do become involved in a local HS group. My sister did with her kids. They had planned outings, field trips, etc. and made a ton of friends. I hope there is something like that close to you. Tiffani: Congrats on staying on plan. Yah, it's been a while since smelly ketosis was around. When we have our booster session in my research group, I imagine I will get the pleasure of experiencing that again.Divine: You did great for September. I would love to have dropped 10. Oh well, slow and steady. Fortunately there are no deadlines for dropping the weight, so if it takes me another 2 years that's okay (but let's hope not ). The good thing is I'm getting a good idea of what it will take to maintain. I'm dead set on maintaining and not gaining the weight back that I lost. |
