Ok ladies, I had agreat day yesterday filled with visting the inlaws, salad bar at pizza hut with family and an afternoon of shopping at the out let mall. I dont think I spent more than $4 for any item. DD got 2 shirts and 2 pants, a new lunch bag,4 pairs of socks and a toy The DS 's total was 1 lunch bag, 3 pants 3 shirts 3 toys.I never do as well for them, There is always less to choose from in style. I even got myself 3 T shirts from the Gap outlet for $2.50 each. I find they have a nice talored shape and provide the lengh that I need. I never would have thought that I could wear womens clothes from the Gap. ( no mens boxy T shirts for me)I couldnt beat the price and they will last alot longer than my usual Walmart shirts. I am so cheap! When we came home he went for a 2 mile walk.
DH is working till late tonight so I am going to take the kids to the walking path in a few minutes. I am hopeing to get in atleast 3 miles.

Kbetz: It sounds like you enjoyed your little shopping excursion and that you made good choices with the salad bar! The simplest things in life make me happy, too!
We went to an unplanned late lunch at dinner time tonight (after exercising all afternoon with the kids); I made appropriate Protein Power selections. But wow, the grilled chicken salad was huge...I managed 1/8 of it and brought the rest home. Appetizer was a cup of cheddar/cheese and bacon soup and a tiny slice of garlic bread with butter; I drank unsweetened ice tea with lemon and a few packets of (ick) aspartmane (Equal). If I gain, I'll never know if it was the garlic bread or the aspartame (which I do try to avoid - I have to make a mental note to stick stevia packets into my purse)...but it won't matter. I'll categorize dinner tonight as a "free meal" and won't worry about it. I think I'll have 1/2 cup of full-fat, low-carb cottage cheese for my "dinner." The totals for today will then come to 1,091 calories, 68 fat, 45 carbs, and 65 proteins. The proteins are too low, but I figure the "higher" carbs will then get burned off faster. We'll see! So...how everybody else is doing today???
