Hello to all! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I still have a lot to catch up on, but just wanted to say...
LISA- that ice cream recipe is AWESOME! It is finally (only 3 weeks late) my TOM and I needed something NOW. I ate a few handfuls of popcorn and then said, someone please throw this away b4 I eat more. Dh came to the rescue. I said I am going online to get that ice cream recipe. I didn't realize it was done in 5-10 min. Originally I was going to eat it for a snack tonight while we watched a movie or played a game. But, I thought I better eat it right away because it is fresh!! hehe IT IS SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!! I am making more tonight!! btw the whole family loved it. Thanks so much, Lisa. Tiffani

OK I have a little time to chat since the burgers are on the grill...
Here's the scoop on me and how my husband met and about being a stay-at-home mom now. While reading this story, keep in mind I am now set free and born again. I am redeemed from my sins. My first child ( b 14 y/o) was born out of wed lock. I was young and dumb. And my mind was controlled by alcohol and dope. When my boyfriend asked me to have a baby with him, I ignorantly said OK. Yes, I know, big huge DUH. Three weeks later, I found out I was prego. Needless to say, no more alcohol, drugs, or cigs anymore. I also wouldn't even step foot in a bar b/c of the smoke. I was such a good mom already. Reading everything I could get my hands on. Never ate any junk food. I mean any, no soda, so chips, no candy, no cake (except on my birthday, I ate a piece of Peanut Butter Pie from Bob Evans on my 24th). Well needless to say, he wasn't thrilled that I wanted to change my life around and that is when the abuse started. It was horrible. And always when he was drunk. Of course very remorseful when he sobered. I am not sure how many times I left him, but he always sweet talked me back. Even his mom urged me to leave him, for she went thru the same thing with his dad. he finally stopped hitting her and started in on the kids. Hence, the reason he hit his wife. I had him arrested one night after my mom and son watched in horror as he attacked me. I realized then that it wasn't going to stop and that eventually my son would be in danger too. So I left for good. got my own apartment where my son and shared a little one bedroom. He had just turned 2 and we shared the same full size bed, had no living room furniture, and a card board box for a table. I was waitressing at the time and also made desserts and cakes on the side for restaurants, a few weddings, and lots of birthday cakes. My 2 y/o son helped crack the eggs!! Sounds like hard times, but we were free and at the time, we didn't know there would be harder times and more fear to come. So...eventually he started stalking us. Breaking into our apartment. Following us.... OH,, burgers are ready, have to go...will finish later.. tiffani |

Holy Snikeys....
I just read that the average Americans carb intake is 500 grams daily
. So even if you cut yours to half that, you have to lose weight? |

Hey everyone!!!
Kbetz ~ If I thought my feet would absorb some of the hops I'd be all for it. Come to think of it I have heard of people getting pedicures in champagne. Is your husband a manager? If he is then working doubles should be like breathing sometimes especially in the service industries, if he is not then it IS the managers responsibility to find someone to cover or he works. A double now a days for me is nothing I've done 16hrs off 4hrs and back to another 16. YAY go me! ![]() Annie ~ Way to go on the lose. Keep it up!! The diet coke is not the zero one, it says with splenda right on the box. I did see the zero one but didn't buy any of it. Have you tried it? Divine ~ Another pound is great. ohhhh you to have lost an 8yr old. ![]() Beyond ~ Welcome Sit back and enjoy the conversations and information these wise folks have to offer. It's AMAZING!! Don't worry about the slip up, suck it up and start again. 6lbs is a great start.Mycattz ~ I was grocery shopping last night with my mom and bought a slice of chocolate cake, then was going to go to get a cheeseburger. UHHHHH on the way to my car I asked my mom "why did you let me buy that?" to which she replied "your an adult". Yeah the walk to the car made me come to my senses, a little dose of reality. I threw the cake in the trash unopened as I was driving out of the parking lot. Yes I did. And no cheeseburger. My mom laughed at me and as I was dropping her off said "I could have ate that" , and I replied with "it wouldn't look good on your ass" and drove away. HOLY BATMAN BALLS how did I not see you are 64.5 for the year, thats thats thats an 8 yr old baby Jesus. ![]() I was wondering about TOM do you guys up your carbs, what do you eat. Mine is coming I know because I bought that damn cake and I only eat chocolate cake with TOM. (awww isn't that precious we have a thing) ![]() Hope everyone gets a visit from the woosh fairy this week.

Ingredients: * 1/2 cup milk (Use cream!) * 1 Tablespoon sugar (use Splenda instead) * 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (you might try other flavorings) Method: 1. Add these to a pint size zip lock freezer bag and zip shut. 2. Place that bag in a larger (quart or larger) zip lock bag 3. Add ice to fill bag 1/2 way, 6 Tablespoons salt (rock or regular) 4. Zip that one shut and shake, turn, toss, and mix the bag. In about 5-10 minutes you will have cold hands and yummy ice cream. Warnings: * Don't double this it doesn't seem to work. * Be sure you get all the salt off the small bag before you open it. |

In the process- yes DH is a manger and he is always pulling dubles and 7 day work weeks. I am used to it, and my dad was a realtor to. When the phone rings you run to work. Its been the way of life as long as I can remember. It has some perks. When he works extra he brings me a LC treat.
I love the coke zero and the cherry zero. I dont care for the pepsi 1 but I do like pepsi max I just wanted to say I stoped by tonight to check up on every one. You gals are always trudging along. Its great. I am so excited that every one at home is fealing better tonight and will be in school tomarow. It will be my 3 Y/Os first day of preschool. awww To keep me and my 1 Y/O company during the day we adopted a 11 month old snouzzer (Sp?) We saw an add in the paper for animal adoption and drove an hour to their farm. His name his Dodger and his first mom had to go to a nurseing home. He is potty trained and adores being brushed. He is just what we needed. ( Like I needed another baby! LOL) Dodger has had all of his shots and the place will continue to do them as needed for a $12 bag of dog food donation each time. I am planing on walking 3 miles tomarow. 2 to the school and 1 dvd mile. I wonder if Dodger likes to walk alot? He may learn.

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love today! Almost like having the day off, but not really just sitting behind my desk doing a whole lot of nothing.
Kbetz ~ I work 6 days a week and have Sundays off. During the summer it sucks because it's still daylight out and I wanna go out and do stuff but then I have to remember most people are in bed getting sleep for wk in the AM. In the winter I could care less it's dark all the time! Congrats on the doggie!! |

kbetz- Hey girl. I read most of your posts, but please give me a quick update...how are the kiddos doing? Hope all is great. You are such a wonderful mom. That is something you can absolutely say and know!! No one can ever take that away. PRICELESS. How much wieght have you lost so far? How many last week? Yes, I have lost 35 pounds in 5 1/2 weeks. Nice feeling!! I had a hard time again the past few days, it is TOM (3 weeks late). I ate a few handfuls of popcorn today and we made homemade potato wedges in the oven, and had a handful of those. But, that's about it that's bad. I believe it's my first time "cheating" in the whole 5 1/2 weeks. So i don't feel so bad. I didn't drink enough water either though. The good new is, I should lose a pound or two after tom is over. Tomorrow is a new day though.

How I met my husband ....
Story continues....so anyways, he was stalking us, and breaking into our apt. He even took my son and wouldn't give him back for 8 days. Police wouldn't do anything about it bc his family owns about half the town. So...got an attorney (that's when I got my son back). Then friends of mine introduced me to their son. He was from Great Britain and lived in Canada on a working visa. I was still dumb-struck, and I told him I would marry him. I figured I could make anything work...and it got me out of the country and away form sons dad. So I did and we moved to Canada. Well...you know how old habits are hard to break right...I married a guy similar to the first. By the time he first hit me, I found out I was prego w/ my now 10 y/o daughter. This time I didn't stick around. I took my son and moved back to the states, pregnant and still married. We lived in a battered women's shelter in near Seattle for about 2 months until some one in my family told my husband where we were. Then we took off and moved to Texas. My daughter was born there. I stayed a single parent til she was 5. I didn't date any one and wasn't interested at all to try. I knew I couldn't make the right decisions at that time due to not making them ever. So...I know what it is like to hold down 2 jobs or 1 job and go to college. The guilt of being playing the role of both parents, etc. HOW I MET MY NEW WONDERFUL AMAZING HUSBAND... I prayed all those years when I was a single parent for God to send me the man that He thought was right for me, when He thought I was ready. Well, I finally got a computer in 2001. And I started going online. And that is how I met my husband. He lived in Columbus and I about 2 hours away. We talked online for a little over one month. I finally gave him my phone #. Sometimes we would talk for 5-6 hours a night. others only 2-3 but we always talked. Then we talked online and on the phone for another month when I agreed to meet him. Another month past til I went down to meet him. I took the kids with me and we had a wonderful time. Six months later, he proposed. I said yes. We took the kids to the beach and got married barefoot on the beach. Two more kids later...here we are. I can honestly say that i knew that first week we talked online that he was the one. god had put something special about him in my heart. He says the same thing. Well...that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Any body else sharing? |
