Hello everyone!! How are you all doing this fine, cooler Friday. It feels so good that the weather is finally not as hot here. I have been doing much better this weeks. I went back to the basics and lowered my carbs again to under 15. But just til tomorrow. My goal was to leave 5 pounds in the drain this week and I think it may happen. Can't wait to find out!! My dad let me borrow his treadmill yesterday. So I am able to walk more now. I am gong to try to walk a little in the evening each night and on Yoga Fussion days, walk in the AM and the PM. I also have been making sure I get my vitamins and at least 128 oz of water. I definatley can lose weight if I drink and flush!! I also use olive oil and lemon juice on my daily salad. Olive oil helps to "slide" things out. If you know what I mean!!

We have "Truth Quest" tonight, our church youth group. I am a leader/helper so I will be gone tonight. I am actually snack coordinator. Yes, I know, it is a very distinguishable title. It fits me good. I made a double batch of double batch chocolate chip cookies today. (yes, you read that right, double of a double). You would be so proud of me because I didn't even lick my fingers. But I did smell them...yummy. But OH WELL. My salad tasted better! (i think i can i think i can i think i can).

Today is our test official testing day of the week with home school, so very busy, especially since it was a shorter week.

Please pray for continued weight loss and low stress for me.
Thanks

Penny that is alot. Wow. I seem to get stuck in one mood. My wardrobe is as follows..
Summer- 2 pairs of jean shorts,2 pair of (kaki& olive) capris,
5 talored tshirts, 2 sleep box tshirts, 2 boxer shorts to wear around the house. 7pair of soxs and 7 pair of underwear( Not that you care about those)
As of rite now I have 2 pairs of jeans 1 pair of kakis and 1 pair of nice black dress pants. I have one brown sweeter jacket that I will wear over the summer t's.
3 hody swet shirts, 2 fitted long sleve shirts and 1 pale pink dress shirt.
Now here is my show eventory for all year round. 1 pair of brown sandles, 1 pair of black leather ankle boots. 1 pair of clog type black slip on shoes, 1 pair of black flate dress shoes, 1 pair of yard nikes and 1 pair of new balance play time shoes. ( the NB are my fav.) White with hot pink trim. It's how I get girly. Ok, now that I have shown that I have no fashion sence, let me remind you that I have 4 kids 3 boys and 1 girl. My DD is verry girly. I am currently growing out my hair that is stuck at my chin length. I will be adding some pretty scrunches to my ward robe. LOL Its just hard to play football/ base ball or even chase a kid threw a parking lot in heals. I keep saying when I loose all of my weight I am going to go to the thrift stores and expand my dress clothes. I want them its just silly to spend alot of money on stuff I dont get a chance to wear. I think that is great when I hear women talk about there wardrobe. We all need to feal "pretty". Good for you. You got rid of the old now go get some new. You can do it in my "honor".

Lisa - I have the master bedroom closet to myself, and my boyfriend uses the guest room closet. I know it's time to get rid of some shoes because they're in piles all over the floor. Most of them kill my feet anyway! I'm looking forward to losing more weight so I can wear cute shoes!

Tiffani- congrats on not sampling. I thought about being a snack helper in my kids school this year. I have 3 in one school and thought it is time I do something. I am just worried aout it being with food. My DH has asked me not to commit to any groups or serve on any commites any where this year. Last year I was a volunter at the preschool program and a cub scout leader. We also had a girls night out each week.( walking the malls) DD has asked me if I will do girl sct leader for her but the answer has to be no. She only wants to be in it if I am the leader , so I know she dosent realy care about being in it. I can just spend some extra time with her. That is what she is really after.
I hope the testing goes well.

Lisa- you have a great attitude. keep up the good work. What songs to do plan on singing?

Bugs- what good would we be to each other if we couldn't support each other in any area that we are struggling? I know for me, if I am having a hard time with certain things, it helps for me to talk about it. I am still prone to indulging in Extreme Moosetracks if I get real upset. Yes, I do have other friends that I talk to, but you guys are all going through the same MAJOR life changing event with me. So I know you guys can help keep me on track...in other words...VENT AWAY GIRLFRIEND!! We all do it.

Hey, how cool would it be if after we all hit our desired goals, to meet in actual person. Maybe we could do an interview on Good Morning America or Regis and Kelly!! hehe Maybe Oprah will give us all a new wardrobe and a free cruise!! Now that's what I am talking about.

Kbetz - I dress for the occasion. I wear suits to work, so I have jackets, skirts and heels. T's can do double duty, because I can wear them under a jacket to work, then with shorts on the weekends. I am one of the few women on this planet that hates to wear pants, so it's either skirts or shorts, unless it's cold, and I even wear shorts sometime in the winter time too! I like sneaks better than sandals on the weekends, with an "Aggie Mom" T-shirt!

The song is Called " What can I do" I sung it for the first time on sunday, it went right with the message.... Love it when God does that.... I had never heard of it and found it at a thrif store, was really nervous about singing it... but after singing it I was asked to sing it again tonight.... very pretty song, powerful words.....

Kbetz- wtg on your weigh in. I thought I was going to gain more with my TOM too, because I cheated. But it was only two pounds and took a day to lose it again. And I felt the same way. When all was said and done, I was even more ready to dig my heals in and lose some big ones!! Staying more focused. You have been through so much lately. You have really done a good job staying up on it. Congrats. I find it funny that on most of the posts right now everyone is either getting ready to, already on, or just had TOM. When will TOM leave our forum for two weeks?

I am so glad you had a great time just the two of you with your dad. That sounded awesome. I am envious. I wish my dad would remember he "first" family more.

Well, I have so much to do... I will have to catch up on the posts later. I will probably be on real late tonight to catch up and post.

Happy Weigh in day to all who are "LOSING IT WITH BUGS". (who needs to slow down on working so much) here's to you Bugs.

Bug - Aw, thank you! Honey, it's not so much wisdom as just mad determination that keeps me working on what to do next! You know the metabolism is just so smart, that I think it will catch on to what I'm now doing...so I have to think ahead of what to try before it does. My methods don't always work as well as I hope, BUT I do lose some wt. every month. Those are the days I remind myself that the bottom-line is to stay on plan, no matter what! Each day I stay on the menu plan is another day closer to goal!

Dream - It was good to finally see pix of the wedding! Your girl does look a lot like you, as I'm sure you know, very pretty...and she was a very happy young bride! The groom looked pretty happy, too! And you certainly are a slim, young thing yourself, with such lovely dark hair, hon... Y'know, I sometimes have had thoughts go thru my mind about being the mother-of-the-bride or groom and waddling down the aisle in a tent dress. No way, Jose! Ain't gonna happen! I'm glad for you that you were looking so fine as the mother-of-the-bride!!!

Kbetz: A 3 lb. TOM gain is not bad at all! Just stick with it and it will drop right off before you know it!

Penny: So, what are you thinking of cycling??? Idea: Fats and proteins...and a slight, slight amt. of carbs (like .5) for 2-3 days, then lower them again for 2 days...and see what happens!

As for my cycling, I think I'll do one more day of KE today, upping those lean protein amts. more than yesterday, and then return to the higher cycle for the weekend. My challenge now is to know how to change the pattern of cycling days so that my metabolism doesn't figure, "Oh, we have 3 days of higher calories and 2 days when it's leaner, so NOW I know how to keep the fat on!"

Uh-uh. So Sssssh, everybody...please don't tell my metabolism I'm changing the pattern again!

I have still been thinking about my non huge weight gain. I really should have gained more than 3 pounds + TOM should've added. I know, I know why am I even giveing this a second thought. I looked at the granola nut bar tonight . It has 17 carbs. The amount of trail mix I ate was under 20. 6 frie's is probably under 20 carbs. Milk is under 20 carbs. Mac and cheese might have been under 20. Like I said it was a child size bowl. Ok so these things are not meant to be eatin an a daily basis. I then started thinking what carbs did I have. I was liveing on HB eggs, cheeses, chicken, burgers steak. Not much veggies. I hadnt been to the store. I will not do this again ,but this may explain why. The lack of veggy carbs might also explain why I got sick when I was driving the kids the day I ended up haveing to borrow a few fries. Just imagine if I hadnt eat the extras. Maybe I would have been down 3 instead of up 3.

Todays menu.
B-1 motz cheese stick
L- deli turkey, deli slice swiss
snack- 6 peperonie
D -large taco salad.
I am still fealing to sick/lazy to cook, and my microwave died this morning. I was heating up the kids lunch to put into there thermosis for school, and Mic. said "thats it, I am tired of being over worked", and he winked at me to say good-bie.

We will be haveing a ceramomy on monday night at the curb. He will be resting with our former friends Mic.Sony and Mic.Kitchen-Aid. Yes,our dear friend Mic. Emerson will be missed. We shared many warm memories. We wil be haveing a 5 bag, pop corn salute to honor him.
May he rest in the junk yard.

The funny thing is that our stove only had 1 working burner and yesterday my DH got them all fixed. I really think Mic. was insulted by the competion.

Christy the wings sound good. DH and I will be able to go out tomarow for lunch. Its the first time in many months. I am thinking wings and salad. Cheep, fast, and L/C. Especally if we go HOT.

I tend to like playing football with the kids rather than watching. My best friend did invite us over to watch the game on sunday( I don't have a clue of what game, but we are going) she knows we don't watch and my DH who dose'nt watch has to work, so me and the kidos will go over. I didn't really want to go, but I cant tell her no. We both have been so buisy latly and this may have been a way for her to have us over and DH not feel like he is being dropped. We both have that issue to deal with.

Chris: Hon, I have FitdayPC plus I keep a personal typewritten journal. Never, ever thought I would do that...thinking it troublesome and maddening. But something clicked in the mind this time around and I started. Very glad I did!

Kbetz: Poor Microwave! Poor Kitchen-aid (now THAT I would really miss!). Anyway, you made the blinking-out episode funny and cute...

Divine- You are doing do great. I look forward to reading your posts. And when you don't post for a day or so, I miss it. You give awesome advice and really know your stuff. It is nice to be able to learn from someone else's wisdom when it comes to this woe. I am starting to try some of what you are doing and it is definately tricking my metabolism. thanks for all the great info and support. btw how is school going? Last year I didn't have this much energy, so it feels good to be on top of things and not get as stressed out. I really enjoy HS. So do my kids. And preschool HS isn't going as bad as what I thought. We are just doing it 3 days a week with the preschool right now. She loves it. Our 2 y/o also likes the crafts. Hope you have a great weekend. Take care and God bless!!

Drum roll please.............. 255. Oh yeah, Oh yeah, Oh yeah.

That's right ladies, I lost 6 pounds this week. I am so thrilled, not only did I make it to the 50's but to the middle of the 50's. I really tried hard this week and with Miss Divine's advise (thank you Divine) I shook things up this week. I started TOM on late last Saturday. And I really ate some high carb foods on Sunday and Monday. I gained two pounds those two days (the same and only two pounds I lost the week before). Well, I went ahead and lowered my carbs back to REAL LOW and upped my protein. And it worked. I also changed my exercise routines.

Praise the Lord for beiing faithful to complete the good works He started in me. Not only am I losing my fat, but I am losing my bondage to sin with food.
Thank you, Jesus.

Good Morning Ladies,
I am trying to get caught up on all the messages. I am so proud of all of you for the success you are having. You make me feel like I can do it too!! So is the Kimkins like Atkins? I went to the sight but I don't have the money right now to join. I have so much to lose but I know I need to be very serious about this. Thanks for all the help!!

Tiffani: That is absolutely awesome! My goodness! I'm happy to hear that my cycling discovery has helped somebody else! WTG, hon! Btw, homeschooling has not officially started here. I am still adjusting to the new schedule in helping take care of my mom, but we'll be starting this Monday.

MsTrudy: If we're comparing woes as they are written by their originators (not going by various suggestions to or by individuals), I'd have to say Kimkins is the reverse of Atkins, primarily because Kimkins is low-fat. (Also, KE, an all protein variation of Kimkins, is almost completely based on Dr. Stillman's Quick Wt. Loss.)

As for Kimkins/Atkins comparisons: Kimkins is similar to Atkins in one respect, since it's also low-carb, but the difference is that Atkins calls for 20 gram of total carbs per day for at least 2 weeks (the Induction period), while Kimkins says 20 grams of net carbs for an indefinite period of time. Neither provide fat gram limits, one way or the other. Kimkins simply advises to keep fats low and just enough to "make it work" while Atkins gave a general recommendation to enjoy certain fats and, of course, not to think that advice meant going wild and raising caloric intake to unhealthy levels.
