While on the path for weight loss and better health, one can expect struggles. Sometimes those struggles can be overcome by really thinking about your choices. At other times, the help of your friends, spouse, children, or team members can get you through a rough patch.

Sometimes the best medicine is just to recharge your desire - remember what you're doing and why. Finding someone else that has done what you are working to achieve reminds you that you're not alone. This mini-challenge is about finding that kind of inspiration.

For 5 points, look through the inspirational stories from anywhere on this site. There are threads dedicated to these stories as well as personal statements included in threads in most every forum. Find a story that touches you ... helps you to stay on plan, or exercise, or make a better choice ... whatever helps you make the decision not to give up hope of reaching your goal.

Find these stories. Cut and paste them here on the main thread so we may each gain insight and strength. Each story may only be posted one time for credit (2 different people cannot get credit for the same story). Since we are cutting and pasting, please use the screen name of the individual as a title so they get the proper credit for their story.

For 5 more points, write a brief statement about why this particular person / story inspires you. It doesn't have to be long ... just tell us why you picked a particular story.

Hello girl's,well it's a new month,WOW,just can't believe it's September,gosh this summer went quickly.Just not very motivated today,got house work started but not finished,kinda lazy this morning,it rained during the night and there was a great electric storm going on last night the sky was totally glowing with lightening,pretty cool!!!!!!!Ok gotta scoot and get something done love ya

Hi Ladies,
Well today was just another crazy day in my home. Had a meeting at Shane's preschool just incase our school district stayed on stike. Found out at 7pm tonight that we finally start school tomorrow. Shelby is so excited. I can't believe that my baby girl is starting First Grade. I will post pics of her first day later on tomorrow. It has really hit me this is happening. I now have to make 2 lunches at night! Oh well I know she is eatting good as long as mommy is making them. The cable guy (CUTE) was here today to install wireless internet, change my phone service, and give my digital cable with a DVR. I am so excited that I can be on the phone and on here with you gals all at once.

So gals.....are we still on for doing this? I see that one team has already dropped out. I hope that is not going to be us. I say we need to start posting our daily menus. I think the daily input would be great to keep us on the up and up. I know I need to hit the grocery store tomorrow to get myself reset. I have nothing good to eat in this place.

Thought now that my computer is now faster I would share some more pics. These were taken over the weekend. The once of all the kids are Shelby, Shane, and my friend's daughter Ashlee and son Tanner. Then you have my Diva Shelby. Me on the beach (not a nice fancy beach but still a beach). And our State Capital. I felt very proud while walking around and seeing the different rooms. We have a very pretty Capital.

Just been super busy,well here's what going on today....my Bella is at the vet she started throwing up yesterday and just felt bad for the day,just thought it was bad puppy tummy,well of course evening hit and all heck broke loose,she threw up all night,nothing there,just dry heaving,poor baby,so this morning got her into vet and of course they ask all these question's that make you feel like your a bad owner and I kept telling the girl she doesn't run around the neighbor hood,she wouldn't let it go,thank gosh one of my neighbors was there and confirmed that my dog doesn't run looseboy did that ever tick me off,sofar test are coming back negative,thank God,if she would just stop dry heaving,she would feel better,waiting for another call to hear about the other tests,not looking forward to the billI am so tired,up all night,hope my girl is okgotta scoot girls,love ya check back later

Tammy it broke my heart when my son started first grade,cause it was all day, kindergarten was only half day ,so it was like preschool only 3 hrs,but first grade was all day...big hug for ya

Hello Ladies.......well my girl came home today and after all the testing,her conclusion was food poisoningwhere she got it,I don't feed her people food,but she could of got something from outside somewhere in the yard or when walkingshe was one sick little girl,she still not 100%,but totally better than before she is starting to eat a little bit,just soft stuff.
Ok, going to bed, just thought I'd pop in and give you an update on my girl,so glad she's home.

I am just passing through as well, the kids are spending the night with my parents tonight, YAY ME!!! I am so freaking happy I can't stand it, they NEVER go to spend the night with any grandparents ever so this is such a treat!!!!!!!!!

Hey girlies,just a qucik drive thru....well my girl is better but not out of the wood work,she is still not eating to her norm and her blodd sugar is low and she is having mini and I meen mini seizures,so the only thing I can get her to eat is turkey lunch meat and she really needs the carbs to raise that blood level,So I have to add a couple of drops Karo sryup to turkey slice wrap it up and she'll eat it,have to do this every few hrs,she is starting to eat a little more,she ate a couple of peanuts and the last couple of days she wouldn't touch them,trying to give her carb stuff,she didn't touch rice and turkey gravy I made her,kinda testing the waters with different stuff.She's never going to want to eat her food again after this,see she doesn't get people food,I give her bites of fruits and veggies and she loves that,she wouldn't even eat her fav green pepper slices yesterday.Time for the turkey slices,pop in later,toddles girls

well I think my girl is on the road to recovery,THANK GOSH,today she is eating her doggy biquits I make her and they are full of carbs,so no more low blood sugar and seizures,I'm knocking on wood as I write this.She has not wanted them at all,so I know she's feeling a ok.

Tammy no package yet,them Dumb as-es I paid for it to be there next day,you should of had it alreadyfigures
Audra how was your night off without kids,did you do anything fun,movie dinner,hope it was great no matter what,just peacefull would be nice

Yep, Roo we did something fun!!
It was nice, I did miss them though, I couldn't have handled having them gone for more than one night!! We were glad to have them back, I got a lot done and was able to watch my TIDE in peace on Saturday!!

Tammy you must be having a big weekend, You haven't been on here all weekend!! Everyone wants some pics of all your stuff you got, you better get on it girl!!!

I am so glad Bella is better, I tell you I would have no problems eating me some carbs!! Glad to know she is 100% though!!!

Thanks for the welcome I'm not sure what happened to my other team mates... one of them was gaining instead of losing and I think was feeling down because of it... the other had kids so preparing for school to start seemed to draw her away. Such seems to be the way with challenges... a lot of motivation in the beginning which dwindles after a month or so.

Quite honestly, I was at the point of 'giving up' as well... with no team and a waistband that has been expanding more and more every morning... it's frustrating! Still, I'll be one of the only people in this challenge that will have an overnight weight loss of 20+ lbs come December. LOL! Keeping my fingers crossed that not too many lbs stick around for the 'after party'.

BTW... glad to see I'm not the only survivor fan waiting for the next season to start! China should be an interesting next location!

Well, off for another busy day. I've got the in-laws arriving from Europe tomorrow, so I'm in 'gotta clean the house so I don't look like a complete disaster as a wife' mode. LOL! Throw on top of it that I've got to find time to make grape jelly (a friend is dropping off a laundry basket full of grapes for me today), clean the deck up, wash the car, mow the lawn, etc., etc., etc. and I probably won't be back on here until late tonight.

I agree with Roo, we all go missing at some point because I think you just get so busy with life that you don't have lots of time for anything else. Savannah (the middle one) tried out for chorus and made it!!!!! I knew she would but I kept telling myself if she doesn't, it isn't the end of the world, but I knew I really wanted her to be able to do it. I feel like it has given her a boost of big time self confidence so I am so happy for her!!!

Well, I better run, gotta shower and watch some more VH1 "crazy" shows, tonight The guy that helps nerds and geeks get women is on...
