oh man....toasted marshmallow sounds wonderful. ummmy in coffee!! We do not have a cash and carry or publics but of course we have walmart and target!! Thanks so much for the info. Will put the on the grocery list.
I made the gooey mexican casserole. My husband loves it. I think I am going to sub cream cheese or something else instead of mayo. I hate it and I could taste it. I am usually a miracle whip kind of girl... but it was good anyways!! then I made sf jello with cukes in it. Can't wait to try that!! My oldest daughter and I did yoga with me, it was harder than curves. Boy was I hot. Right after, we walked for 1 1/2 miles. Both my daughters walked with me. I only had to put the 4 y/o on my back for about 5 minutes. We take the dog with us, and of course all four of our kittens tried to follow but only one could keep up. It was hilarious. We actually had to carry it back most of the way. Maybe that will teach it. We also saw a big snapping turtle. Had to keep the cat away from it!! Then i helped my DH finish the front porch railing. That was sweaty!! Even though it was only in the 80's today, it was still humid. Hope everyone had as great as day as me!!

I talked my dh into letting me buy a conventional oven today....
I just finished cooking me some hamburger patties in it.... I had been wanting one for a long time... with it just being me and him, we don't like to turn the oven on because it heats up the house too much.... this one is nice... it even holds a 12 inch pizza and came with the pan... also has a rotesseri thingy in it..... Kbetz- where are you??? not use to you not posting at all.... ![]() |

it has a fan that cook with air and heat.... it alot like a toaster oven, but doesn't have all the features.... it works like a regular oven to some degree.... it has a temp thingy that goes up to 450 and a timer built in..... I had a regular toaster oven..... use to broil or bake .... this one does it all and it alot bigger so you can cook more in it

here are a few for you....
I started me a recipe book when I first started Lowcarbing... Jalepeno poppers Jalepenos peppers ( cut open and clean all seeds and white pith out) 8 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese seasoning such as Soul Seasoning or Seasoning Salt Bacon strips cut in half Mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, & seasonings together. Fill the pepper halves with the cream cheese mixture. Wrap each with 1/2 piece bacon. Bake in the oven at about 375 for about 30 minutes. I then finish by crisping the bacon with the broiler for a few minutes. Serving Size: 6 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- All meat chili 2 pounds ground chuck 1 cup chopped onion 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 Large can tomatoes with green chilies -- 14 1/2 oz can 1 Large can tomato sauce -- 8 oz 4 teaspoons ground cumin 2 teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons cocoa powder (sounds weird but its good) 1 teaspoon paprika Brown and crumble the beef in heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Pour off the grease, and add the onion, garlic, tomato's and chili's, tomato sauce, cumin, oregano, cocoa and paprika. Stir to combine Turn the burner to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Uncover and simmer for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until chili thickens a bit. Serve with grated cheese and sour cream, chopped raw onion cream cheese muffins 2 8oz. pks. philadelphia cream cheese 1/2 cup sweetener (I use spenda) 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla Soften cream cheese about 40 seconds in microwave. Add other ingredients. Beat with mixer till smooth. Pour into 12 muffin pans lined with the papers. Bake at 350 for 20 min. homemade icecream Ingredients: * 1/2 cup milk (Use cream!) * 1 Tablespoon sugar (use Splenda instead) * 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (you might try other flavorings) Method: 1. Add these to a pint size zip lock freezer bag and zip shut. 2. Place that bag in a larger (quart or larger) zip lock bag 3. Add ice to fill bag 1/2 way, 6 Tablespoons salt (rock or regular) 4. Zip that one shut and shake, turn, toss, and mix the bag. In about 5-10 minutes you will have cold hands and yummy ice cream. Warnings: * Don't double this it doesn't seem to work. * Be sure you get all the salt off the small bag before you open it. well its started to storm outside, so I guess I need to cut this computer off..... goodnight... |

Yummy those sound good. My DH will love the poppers. And I will love everything else. Chili is one of my favorite foods. We use to eat a vegetable chili all the time but it has too many beans in it. I have yet to eat any ice cream since I started. And of course like a lot of woman, it is my favorite. I use to eat lots of EXTREME MOOSETRACKS, with Denali chocolate. Oh boy. I can't believe I just said that and I don't even crave it right now...hmmm.
Thank you so much for the new recipes. It helps to have the variety. Can't wait to see what the scale says tomorrow. ![]() Tiffani |

hey everyone,
It's been a super long day for me. I am reading through all the great recipies and it is making me so hungry! I wonder if there is a way to use that carbquick to make a breading for the poppers. ohh man I love poppers.... Anyway, I am back down a pound today. I'm hoping this means I will start losing again. I didn't get a chance to jump on the treadmill, I have been in and out of the house all day. but I did park in the back of all the parking lots and walked to the places I had to go. Hopefully that will make up for some of it. I sure hope you all have a great holiday weekend and be careful out there!

Hey everyone,
Late check-in for me (which sounds funny saying since I work at a hotel) I haven't gotten on the scale yet will to that in the morning and post it, hopefully it will be good stuff. Devine ~ Way to go on the drop! Bugs ~ You make me wanna get on the treadmill..... I'm working on that ![]() That's a late night. Then again there are most days when I'm here at work that late. Tiffani ~ Take all that you can. LBs OZs they all add up. Way to go! We have a cash & carry that you can purchase the DaVinci's syrup, I think I might have seen it at Walmart as well. (Edit: I see they already answered it, however URM also carries them) Lisa ~ I have a bit of a wondering eyes at night which used to lead to a mouth full. Now I just have some tuna made up in the fridge all the time and when I go into the kitchen I just take a bite of it. For some reason thats enough for me. Completely random I know but it saves me from eating other stuff. And I'm jealous of your husband because he gets to go fishing. AHHH One a side note I totally HATE Diet Coke however, our local market had Coke products 12pks for 1.49 so I took the coupon to Walmart and they have Diet Coke made with splenda.... Can I just tell you I think I'm in love MMMMmmmmMM! I ended up picking up Diet Barqs, Diet Cherry Coke and the Diet w/Splenda. I think I'll be going back for a few more. Hope everyone is doing good and I can't wait to get on the scale in the morning, I've resisted temptation so far. ~Shauna

Good morning everyone. Hope you all are having a great Labor Day weekend. My 10 y/o asked me what exactly is Labor Day for and I told her it was a day when we do extra hard work around the house. She beleived me (I think).
I do like that idea though!!Well, my scales stayed exactly the same since yesterday. so it looks like I lost 2 pounds with BUGS this week. Not what I wanted, but I'll take it. I am so sore from Yoga and Pilates yesterday and I need a BM in a bad way!! Which might give me a jump start for next week!! ![]() Well that makes 7 pounds total with BUGS. Not bad, 7 pounds in 2 weeks. BUGS- i know your weight lose puts me to shame though!! GOOD JOB!! ![]() I will be doing Curves today. I usually wait to go on Saturdays that way no one will be in there and I can listen to my own CD. Does any one listen to tobyMac? We have his latest CD and he has Mandisa (from American Idol) on it. She rocks. WOW I can't beleive her voice. We never watched American Idol so I didn't get to see her perform, but we heard a lot about her from friends and family. Then when we heard her on tobyMac's new CD, WOW. That girl has lungs. She just had a CD released on July 31st. Other than that, don't have much planned for today. Shout Fest is going to be at the beach. jeremy Camp, Bebo Norman, Shane & Shane, Jump 5, STory Side:B, Matt Blair, and a bunch more musicians will be there. It will be awesome, but...not sure if the weather will hold out. Kids would love it. WOW...I sure can talk first thing in the AM actually all day. I just ramble ramble ramble. Tiffani |

Goodmorning All!
as you can see in my siggy , I am down 6.8 lbs this am from wednesday.... that is over a 5 lb lost overnight.... which doesn't surprize me since I was up going to the bathroom all night long.... little to no sleep at all.... and the funny thing is I didn't drink much yesterday..... its funny how this diet along works as a directic..... Annie- my dh loves the poppers, he said they are the best he has ever had and so easy to make..... the bacon wrap around them really add a good flavor he said.... I don't care for them.... Shauna- I am usually not a night eater.... I eat about 5 or 6 and I am done.... now Dh is a different story, he eat all the time...lol... Me if I eat late, it usually gives me nightmares, or I get acid reflux... so I tend not to eat then..... I just could pass up the homemade cookies the other night.... they tasted like tea cakes, yum yum.... I am not a big fan of diet drink.... I usually drink my water or make me some tea or drink some sf lemonade...... on occasion I will drink a sf rootbeer.... but that is not too often.... I am looking forward to seeing what everyone has lost this week.... be back later |

I look at my 2 y/o now and say, I have lost him!! And it makes me so happy that I have lost him...lol... But glad he is beside me! (he is priceless)... so it sure does help to look at every pound that way. thanks.. Yes, I am sure I gained some muscle. Man am I feeling it. I also took a stool softener today. Can't wait to sit on the john for a while...not on John. My dh would not like that...and I am sure John wouldn't either, who ever he is.![]() ![]() tiffani |

tif, I was having the " john" problem before going on vacation, brought some stool softener they helped alitte.... then when I went of vacation I ate a handful of grapes... and the next morning no problems.... so I have been popping a few grapes everyday.... and it seems to be helping...
they do have some carbs in them... but so far they don't seem to be bothering my weight loss.... you might even try eating them for a meal... like a bowl full, they are really filling and they are good for you, loaded in potasium and other wonderful things... they are good for the liver and just for a cleanes .... just a thought anyway |
