Aggie- Try making some "egg muffins" they are grab n' go for bfast. I use the egg whites you can buy in a carton at the store, but you could easily separate your own, or just use whole eggs. Here is how it works... seriously easy and yum! get out your muffin tin- spray with a tiny bit of pam or nonstick spray, fill about 1/2 full of egg add a dash of seasoning (I use all season and a smidge of parm. cheese) mix it up a little with a spoon or fork, pop it in the over at about 350 for 20 minutes or so, let cool for 5 minutes or so before taking out of the pan... (I didn't make this idea, I got it from the link that was posted a while back for "cooking low with Amy", she does k/e and kimkins recipe videos on her site.)
I think I am getting back on track (losing)... I did great with k/e eating yesterday and had a 1lb loss overnight, I drank gree tea as part of my water, and so maybe that will kick in and get me going again too. Glad to hear we are all starting to lose again! I can't wait to get to the 180's- Dream keeps beating me to the next milestone, but hey I'm right on her heels...

I am going to my new job site today for some training, I am so excited! I will check in with ya later!

Jennay - thanks for the tip. I saw that recipe, but I haven't tried it. That's where I got the recipe for the EVIL cookie! I don't know about you, but I think that Amy person is annoying! She's dingy! And I have curly hair, but I tie it up when I'm in the kitchen. So I just get the recipes and get out of there - if I watch the video, she aggravates me!

Oh, and I found the store brand of "egg beaters" just egg whites and tried them Saturday. I put a little Splenda and cinnamon in mine for a take on something sweet. It was O-kay. A little tweeking is still necessary.

I'm right behind you, knocking on onederland's door. I've still got "spinning skirts" (as DMM called them) going on and I'm almost able to cross my legs comfortably...I know, stupid, but a big deal for me!

Good luck on your new job! My sister is finally moving to an elementary school in the town in which she lives! She's been making the hour drive on country roads behind stock trailers since before the twins were born, and they just turned 11! She is so excited, and I am happy for her! Now it's my turn. I know the perfect job is out there for me, and after 7 years of working temp assignments, I am ready! Besides, I'm a new, thinner version of the perfect executive assistant!

Thanks Jamie did ya hit the big 50 yet? You must be so excited to be so close- I still have 10 to go... so I will be getting excited soon too when I get close like you...

Aggie- Thanks to you too for the good wishes and I agree, she doesn't have the best stage presence- I only watched two of the videos, she did seem a little light headed... said something about being too scared/grossed out to touch chicken? I thought that was strange, I eat a lot, I mean a lot of chicken on k/e.... You are right about your dream job... it is coming! I waited patiently for mine, I am so glad I didn't give up... well I have to get going... Hope some of our other pals (ahhhem... Tannie, Paula, Gran, Papita, etc) stop by today too!

Hi ladies!

I to am very disappointed this morning, I haven't weighed myself since Thursday and I weighted myself this morning and I am exactly the same! I did pretty good over the past 4 days the only thing I think that could have done it was the new Low carb ice cream I ate last night and my mom came over saturday and made the kids some manwich and I ate some w/o the bun.

Well if we are all having problems this week then next week we should all have a big whoosh!!!

It was actually the 25th...but we were in our car on the way to the funeral then.

Hey everyone:

I told you I get excited about the small losses. Well, I'm down .2 of a lb this morning. Yay! (and I'm not being sarcastic) At least things are moving in the right direction. And, contrary to what we have discovered in our little group, I exercised my butt off yesterday at the gym, the first time in several weeks. I decided to measure my waist this morning which is the only place I measured to begin with and I'm down 1 inch.

Catz: That's so great that you did so well while on your trip. You've got the magic touch. Congrats on your newest loss. I know when I gained, I didn't want to post, but it's people like all of you who keep me going. So when I gained and ate too much, I unload, get up and start all over. This site has helped me so much through this weight loss journey. Actually, I hope we can all stick together when we reach our goals and help each other maintain.

Christy: Hang in there. The losses will come. When you first start to lose, watch the premade lc stuff. I had to avoid the Dannon LC yogert and didn't eat the ice cream bars. I did use the shakes once in a while and will eat a bar when nothing else is available. But very rarely.

Kbetz and Divine: There is a theory that the second time around you do LC, it's harder to lose. Also, (and I have to keep telling myself this, and Jennay and Paula) because we are in onderland. The less we weigh, the harder it is to get it off.

Jennay: Good luck today at the new job. Thanks for the well wishes yesterday. Things aren't going so well in that department, but that's a long story. Please, you don't have to remain right behind me, come on and join me in the 180's soon. Aggie, Onderland is calling you and Tannie too.

Jamie: You go girl. It's really fun when you hit the big 50. Gosh that seems like so much. I've never lost this much weight before, nor did I ever think it was possible. It is.! We can do it.

Okay, this is long enough. Gotta go. Have a great day. Hi to everyone I missed.

OK feel better now

I just finished eating breakfast, have been really busy this am trying to get things washed and had to do alittle cleaning.... still have a few more things to do... but its a good thing to stay busy.... I didn't even finish my breakfast, got full before I could finshed it.. but my little dog finished it off for me....

thanks dream, aggie, Paula, for your kinds words.. I know you are right... the one of the reason I come here is for the support... it support that I don't get at home and I need you guys....

I know we all have our ups and down... but we are only failures if we quit..... and I am not quitting

I thought about it... and thought to myself, I am taking this in little stages..... this is a WOL.... if I eat cake, then I must learn to except its ok, not the end of the world, but instead, I am learning...to deal with life and eating at the same times....

I have done really well since the first of the year.... I mean I have not giving up... I did get off plan a few times... and I gained... but I got right back on as soon as I could.... and that is the most important thing..... I might not lose 100 lbs in 2007.... but I going to lose as much as I can at a good pace and enjoy where I am at right now.....

I know what works for me, and what does not work for me.... I know if I eat cake, then it might take me a few days to get back into ketosis and KILL the hunger...... I know that each day I am getting better at this.... Heck.... I remember when I would diet for a few days and then just stop and never get back at it.... but its been 7 months now and I am still at it..... doing my thing....

I just want to thank all of you.... your support is just what I need... and you are all so willing to give it... thank you, thank you, thank you.......

Dream I have herd its harder, I think your rite about the second time+ lower start weight and 3 years older. bla bla bla. ( LOL)

Do you guys want to hear something funny? Last night I felt like I was comeing down with the flu. I now what happens when I get sick while being carb depleted and I hadnt eaten much any way, so I forced my self to eat a small bowl of bran flakes( about 20 carbs worth). I was really worried I would be up today, but I wasnt.I ended up hugging our porclen friend "Ralf" all night. This morning I feal really weird (dizzy) like I have been in a hot tub way to long. I'm not hot just jittery. So for today I have manged to eat 1 scrambeld egg and drink about 40 oz of water I know its not enough but I just cant eat. I am trying to figure out if I am sick, or if my body is missing something.I take a vitamin. DH seems to think it might be stress over the boys haveing surgery soon. I dont know but I want it to leave. I am finding it hard to carry on a conversation. I got off the coutch at noon, took a shower and amd now trying to get it together.
Flu in july?

mycat, I think its good its wallmarts one a day. Comared to cintrum one a day. I keep pushing the water and the fog is slowly lifting.I'm not staring off into space as much. Hubby is supposed to come home early and he wants me go to the Dr. but there really isnt any thing they can do. but charge me a co pay. He thinks it could be blood pressure, but Iv never had any problems and had a physical in may. The only thing that would have effected blood pressure would be excessive sodium.I have been staying away from sodium as much as possible since we came back from vacation a couple of weeks ago. Iwas so sick from to much prossed food. I think its just a bug and I got nocked down .

Jennay - thanks for the encouragement! I've found myself eating quite a bit of chicken myself. Today chicken wasn't available, so I had to settle for a burger at Sonic (sans the bun, of course). Those suckers are so hard to eat driving down the road! I know it wasn't Kimkins friendly, but low carb, nevertheless. I'm hoping that maybe it might be the fake-out I needed to get me back to losing again. We'll see.

Christy - I agree with Dream. Just because something professes to be low in carbs, it doesn't necessarily work for me. After getting excited and trying all that stuff, I have found that the only thing that doesn't have an adverse reaction with me are SF Jell-O and SF popsicles! And get this - I had trouble with all the diet cokes (what do y'all call them in New Orleans, cokes? sodas? soft drinks?) with regular low carbing, but when I switched to Kimkins, I haven't had any issues with them (she said they weren't a problem for her). Interesting.

Jamie - are you not eating again? You need to get some protein! We'll have no more fainting, missy! They don't have BPs down here, but I know they usually have canned tuna at those "stop by and gets". If you're working a long shift today, please make sure and eat!

Paula - Congrats on 15 years! I kicked them to the curb and moved on long before then. So Happy Belated Anniversary!

Hey, that reminds me...I have an "anniversary" coming up. BF and I will be together 2 years. So let's see...I have a little more than 6 weeks to see how much weight I can lose before then. Okay, that's gonna be my motivation. I'm still crazy about him (I know, makes you wanna puke, doesn't it?) because I've never had anyone treat me as well as he. Even though he has been eating off plan constantly (those dang donuts were calling me from the trash can), he has been very supportive of my loss. He's a big 'un at 6'2" and close to 300 pounds, and I told him that I want to lose enough weight that he can pick me up and carry me like in Officer & a Gentleman! Okay, sorry...got off in left field on that one!

Dream - I agree - a loss is a loss, and congrats on yours! I'm a chuggin' right behind you & Jennay!

And I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time right now. Just know that I care about 'cha, and I hope the pain ends soon and you're back to your sweet and happy self! Big hugs!

Oh my gosh, Lisa! Cake? Cake is my weakness! Okay, chicken, chicken, chicken! Chicken is better for me!

Glad you are feeling better, my LC friend! You can do this! And I'll be right here to encourage you along the way, the same as you have done for me!

Kbetz
- thanks for the well wishes for my niece! I hope you're feeling better soon!

Oh my...a book! Sorry ladies, but I'm all motivated. Let's get to losing!!!

Tannie? Where are ya?

Aggie: We just call'em cokes...every soft drink is pretty much referred to as coke. "Hey go to the store and get some cokes" means rootbeer, sprite, diet and regular. Except for the famous refferal of Barq's red cream soda is called "Red Drink" lol

I am just blown away by the fact that everything I ate when I lost weight the last time has turned out to hinder my weight loss this time.

Right now I am hoping that my zero weight loss is due to bloating ( I hope)

Thanks Dream for your encouraging words. This week I am not going to drink any diet soda, no hotdogs, no "Low-Carb" Ice cream. I am going to be really good all week and see where that takes me!

It better take me to whoosh land!!!!

Don't worry BP- our whoosh's are coming, I know it!!

Christy - I am so sorry! I was trying to help here, not discourage or upset you! You've lost 15 pounds in two weeks! That's awesome! I've lost 20 in 12! Just because you didn't lose in the past few days doesn't mean that you're doing poorly. Hey, you weigh 15 pounds less than you did a couple of weeks ago! I think Jennay said once that a gallon of milk weighs about 7 pounds. So carry a couple of jugs of milk around, and you can see how much you've lost already! I was simply suggesting things that have/haven't worked for me, and sharing them - just like I've asked Jennay and DMM questions regarding Kimkins.

I'll give you an example. For my current temp assignment, I have to leave before 6:30 a.m. I just can't force myself to eat breakfast that early. Then when I get to work, I'm not able to heat anything up. So I was looking for something easy to eat for breakfast. Jennay suggested turkey pepperoni. I tried it, but I think the nitrates in it are making me swell, so that particular tip won't work for me. I haven't cheated, but I have gained, so just because something worked for others, doesn't necessarily mean it will work for me and my stupid body! Make sense?

You are doing terrific! Don't let one little stall upset you. KUTGW!!!

I think it's so strange that several of us are up at once! Maybe DMM was right...it's the MOON...or twilight zone!

I plan on catching her and putting her in a low carb PB jar ,with air holes to breath of course. She will be sleeping by my bed side for the next 58 pounds. She can be released sooner for good behavior, and big wooshes. When she is released, I will be keeping her on parole for atleast the next 60 years
