Congrats Gran That is a very beautiful baby, and mom & sis look lovely as well!

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes. The funeral went off beautifully and was very moving. DD cried...this was her first funeral to attend, I thought she did well, though she was embarassed about the crying.

We had a card game after the reception afterwards, as GiGiMa was a huge card player, and would have been glad to see us playing (liverpool). Saw a few of DHs cousins we hadn't seen in years, plus got to pat his cousin's belly (she's 5 weeks from delivery). GiGiMa had 7 great grandchildren, plus 3 step great grandchildren, and another on the way. We will all miss her! I am very blessed with my inlaw relations...they are all very loving and open armed people.

FYI, we were in St. Joseph Missouri. 10 hour drive up...12 hour drive back (don't ask!). At least the hotel was nice, and there was a hottub and pool to help entertain the kids.

Big Surprise...I managed to stay on track with Atkins the whole time.

GRAN! Welcome back. CONGRATULATIONS! OMGosh a new grandbaby. That's so awesome.

Paula: Welcome back too. It's great that everything went off so good. You are fortunate to have such great inlaws.

SrfrGirl: Duh, sorry, I'm usually not so slow. I looked at your siggy after I posted not before and saw it said Long Beach CA. Yes, another west coast girl. I have goals of activities I want to do too. The bridge pedal is right around the corner and I still haven't gotten up the courage to sign up for it. I hope I can do dragon boating next year.

Kbetz: You are truly a special person to take on foster children. I wouldn't have the heart to part with them when their mom and dad came to get them. It's so great that you can adopt them. I hope all goes well with everything. What a great family.

I'm down below what I gained during wedding week, so I'm glad things are moving in the right direction. Actually I'm psyched. So it cost me two weeks. Oh well. Hopefully I'm on a losing trend and will get to the 180's in the next week or so.

Have a great day.

Gran of FIVE: Aw, that picture is so sweet...with your daughter holding her two little munchkins. (That IS your daughter, right, not your dil? I hope I have that right!) The new mommy looks like she's feeling pretty good. I'm so happy everything went well! Baby Olivia (lovely name!) sounds like she is going to be a very good baby...

Paula: Welcome back! Again, I'm so sorry about your mil; may she rest in peace.

Dream: That's great news! Gosh, it's been a week since my pizza experiment and right now I'm only down 1.8 lbs...That "hopeful" 2 lb. loss from yesterday didn't show on the scale this morning at 9:30...so it's a maintain for 2 days, I guess.

Jennay was having the same problem (but her gain had no explanation), so let's blame it on the moon!

Anyway, got back to the pool today and had a nice 2 hr. water aerobic workout...felt SO good! The ladies at the pool noticed my wt. loss today...so that was nice, too.

Christy – I’ve never heard of gaining from boiled shrimp. Are you allergic to shellfish?

Dream – Actually I changed my goal shortly after I started. My initial goal was to lose 25 pounds by the time my daughter started back to school. But then when her summer plans got changed and I wasn’t losing as easily as I had hoped, I changed my goal to 20. Now it looks as though I may actually meet my initial goal after all! In fact, my daughter came and spent the night with me and we went to lunch, and she not only said that she could tell a big difference already, but she asked me for some tips as how she can lose some weight that she has gained. It’s hard for college kids to low carb because they live on raamen noodles, but hopefully I can set an example for her.

Anyway, congrats on the recovery back after the wedding. It didn’t take any time at all! I’m jealous! One cheat took me way too long to get back on track! Glad you’re back to losing again.

Gran5 – Glad you posted, we were getting worried! Congratulations on the birth of little Olivia! Little Miss Brynn is such a cutie!

Kbetz – Fitday can be very helpful! I suggested it to my daughter, and made her realize that the little things she was eating (and drinking – like the Cokes) were really adding up.

You have brought back memories! I remember the Smurfs and The Littles!

Jeannie – don’t worry about things back at the office. Enjoy your vacation!

Paula – Glad you and your family made it home safely. Isn’t it a shame that the only time we get to see some of our family is at funerals?

DMM – I’m sure that at 55 pounds, the neighbors notice a big difference! Glad you enjoyed the pool. If it would ever stop raining here, maybe I can get to the pool again!

Hope everyone else has a great weekend. We got home from the grocery store and the kid that was checking us out made several mistakes – cost us about $10! But by the time I drive back to that store, I would be wasting gas, so I decided to suck it up and not go back to that store!

HURRAY! Down 2.8 lbs. this morning. Whew! It's about time!

Aggie: Well, actually...I live in the country and don't see my neighbors so often...it was a few ladies at the town's community center pool that noticed. (I do hate wearing a bathing suit; but I can see how my back end really went down, and even my Mrs. Santa Claus tummy is getting smaller.)

Kbetz: Good morning right back to you, hon!
