I would think that 5 lbs in just 2 or 3 days is a lot and I would be pretty sure that it is water.

As long as you are drinking lots of water, and taking your vitamins I would eat when only hungry.

Good morning ladies. You guys are doing great!

Wow Tannie 5 pounds in 2 days!!!! I would imagine if your now eating alot and just drinking water that is probably why you dropped it so fast. Just take your vitamins. You are doing such a great job. I have a friend that had the tummy tuck surgery as well as the arm surgery. Her tummy scars arent bad at all and she can hid them with her undies, but the scars on her arms are pretty bad and are very wide. I had a breast reduction/lift last October. My scars are very light and aren't wide at all. I guess it really depends on the person as to how you heal.

Divine Miss M....what can I say..you are such an inspiration!

To everyone that I missed..You guys are a wealth of information and inspiration.

Have a great day.

Jeannie

Hey everyeone.

Tannie: 5 lbs in 2 days. I only did that on induction when I first started. But you don't eat much I don't have that kind of will power. I eat way too much.

I'm back down to 193. So I did drop a little bit. Hoping to get back to 192 soon so I can start all over again. I think its the exercise because I sure didn't get much during wedding week.

Paula, great job on sticking with it. You will be far away from the 180's by the time I get there. Fabulous. I hope I can get there soon!

Jeannie: You can do it. I love your picture by the way.

Aggie: Isn't it wonderful when clothes fit better. I bought a pair of shorts from goodwill, but they were brand new. They are made by Xena. I didn't try them on at the store and when I did at home, I could fit into them, but they were a little too snug for comfort. They are now going to become my measuring device I dont have anything lying around that is too small anymore.

Have a great day everyone.

I'm sure I missed people, I'm sorry

I'm doing good... yesterday was a rough day for me emotionally but I stuck to plan. My 4 year old was throwing tantrum after tantrum after tantrum. I just wanted to bury my head and shoot myself. Its was rough I went out with my best friend (his babysitter) and even her nerves were frazzled... I was just Done, very very done. So I was proud of my self for not turniing to food after all that and the reward was that I reached 10 lbs lost on the scale

I must have missed some posts somehow…sorry, ladies!

Jamie
– Wow! Just think – Medium sized shirts! I can’t wait until the time that I don’t have to walk into a store and ask the size 5 clerk where the plus sized section is! It’s gonna happen! Isn’t it a wonderful feeling to have the guys notice your loss?

Paula
– You & Jamie are so close to the big 5-0 lost! You can do it!

Jennay
– So glad that the wine & chips didn’t do you in and you’re back on plan. I can’t cheat at all, because it’s not worth all the suffering I do when I’m trying to get back on plan. But it sounds like you had such a good time!

Jeannie
– Thanks for sharing your photo, and thanks for the encouragement! I don’t have any clothes that are too big yet…only several that I can’t wear, so I’m excited about getting into them again! And I would love to have a breast lift, but I’m more worried about my “apron”. It’s disgusting and shows through my skirts! Ugh!

Lisa – Thanks so much! What would I do without your encouragement? I only hope that I can be as encouraging to you!

Dream
– Glad you had a blast at your 30th. My daughter and I got some things at the Goodwill here for her last year. I looked and looked, but they didn’t have anything that would come close to fitting me. It’s times like these that I want to lose BIG TIME weight so I can walk right in there and get thinks off of the skinny racks!

DMM
– Yeah, I’m lovin’ my twirly skirts! Check back in a few days? Where ya goin’?

Acura – I love your avatar – where’d you get it?

GG
– Maybe you can get a few ideas from their website. They set up hidden cameras and show the comments. It’s stupid how people complain about furniture! They’re not buying the furniture, they’re buying the house! From what I’ve seen on the show, one of the best tips they can give is since you’re going to be moving out anyway, pack up a lot of the clutter (i.e., small appliances not used on the kitchen countertops) and personal items (decorations and personal photos). Also, if you have pets, to be sure and use a spray (like Oust) to eliminate odors before you have your open house or showing. Hope this helps!

Thanks Dream...that is the first picture I have allowed taken of myself in a very long time. We picked up a new camera for the office and one of the girls was playing around and snapped that. I thought I would go ahead and post it so you guys would know what I look like. I know I like putting a face with a name.

Geek...My little girl used to do me the same way. I couldn't take her anywhere. She would embarass me to death. She eventually grew out of it.

Where is Gran?

Jeannie Great pic!

Ladies I'll be leaving town soon (wed/thur) and be back (fri/sat). DH's grandmother did pass away. She was quite healthy a month ago, but ran into some heart problems and flu, health deteriorated rapidly, and passed away this morning. She was my kids "GiGima", and I wished they had known her in real life, but she sent tons of beautiful handwritten letters at each holiday, so we will all miss her! She was 87. She had the BEST attitude on life. Her DH's doctors lobotomized him after a stroke in the 1950s, and she ended up caring for him fulltime as well as raising 4 girls on her own and working - with a smile. A truly beautiful woman.

I'll do my best to stay on program while I'm gone. I'm going to pack my hand blender and some protein powder. We'll be driving from north texas to missouri (600 miles or so), with 2 kids.

I've got to run to the thrift shop and pick up something appropriate (I have only very casual clothes in my size right now!).

I will miss y'all but will be back soon!

Paula: I'm so sorry for your loss. 86 years is a wonderfully long life and its great that you have such fond memories.

Aggie: I couldn't ever go to a thrift shop before because everything was too small. Now it's kind of fun because they have stuff that's too big. Its really hard to adjust to not going to the women's department. Yesterday while I was down town I bought a rockin pair of Calvin Klein jeans, size 12. I was so excited. I got them at Ross so of course, they weren't very expensive. I didn't need them at all though. And, yes, I can't wait to be in a medium. I'm still kinda squeezing into larges, so it will be a while.

Jeannie: You will get to see me soon enough when I get pics from DD1's wedding. I have posted pics threads ago, but can't remember which ones.

Geekgirl: Hoooray!! 10 lbs already. Great job.

Great Pictures Denise..Gatliburg is such a beautiful place. My DH and I go there on our anniversary every year. It is so relaxing...Did you go to Dollywood or Splash Country? I haven't never been to Splash Country and it has been a while since I was at Dollywood. We just usually go to eat and come back to the cabin. I love to just sit on the porch and swing and look at the beautiful hills. We have hills like that in Ky also, but its just different there for some reason.

Paula I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Pooraggie. I have an apron also, but my shoulders and back were killing me because of the weight so I opted to have the reduction. I was a 40E and now I am a 40C big difference Sometimes I can't believe I had it done. But it wasn't that bad....I thought it would be alot worse. Maybe someday I will get rid of my apron.

I think I will go do some laundry. I'll check back later.

Jeannie

Denise - Welcome back! I love the photos! You have beautiful children and should be so proud! I've never been to Gatlinburg, but would love to visit sometime. Anyway, glad you're back! You were missed!

Jeannie - I hear ya with the back pain. It's getting worse, and I know all those years of losing the bra as soon as I got home hasn't helped.

Well, we actually had a couple of days of sunshine, but it looks like the rain is on its way back. While I'm not looking forward to the 100+ heat and humidity, I'm really tired of the rain. It makes me so tired and blah.

Good morning, ladies!

I'm down another .5 this morning. I'm still losing slowly, but doing Atkins, I kept gaining and losing the same pound over and over. Now that I'm doing Kimkins, I'm losing again.

I'm thrilled to see all of your losses, especially those who have gone on vacation and returned with only slight gains and lost that quickly. I haven't lost near as much as anyone else, so I knew I had to do something different. So I'm going to stick with Kimkins for a while and see if the loss continues. I'm determined!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Jamie: Whoo-hoo! 50 lbs. gone forever!

Jennay: How’s it going today?

Tannie: I don’t know, hon, but that 5 lbs. sounds like a Whoosh! Sure, some of it was water…but there had to be a “true” Whoosh in there, too!

Jeannie: Wow! It’s good to SEE you!

Dream: Oooooo! Wedding pix coming soon!!!

Geekgirl: Hurray on the 10 lb. loss. WTG, girl!

Deni: Lovely pix…lovely family!!!

Aggie: It seems KE works best for me, too…isn’t it WONDERFUL to see things moving down, down, down? Once I got in the habit of drinking water, I am always thirsty, it seems.

We went to Cedar Pointe yesterday, and my main concern was having water with me at all times. That feat wasn’t as hard as expected (a few years ago, we couldn’t bring in our own water). Now they allow Unopened bottles of water so we brought 6 pints into the park, and I sipped them all day to make them last.

Though I walked the whole place, it was hard on me and I had to take frequent breaks to sit and rest. But I never would have done as well as I did if I had not started working out again in May. And I still did not use my cane!

Anyway, up 1.8 lbs. today – I flipped! But I realized it must be due to the walking…asked daughter to weigh herself and she’s up 2 lbs., so there’s my answer.

DMM - I didn't know what Cedar Pointe was, so I looked it up. It looks like so much fun!

Last year they closed Astroworld because of low attendance (I think it was because of gang activity). Even though we lived 50 miles away, we went a lot during the summer when I was a teenager, and I remember taking my daughter several times. It's so sad to drive by there now and see the land flattened...no roller coasters! It's just such a shame that the kids these days have to ruin things for the rest of us! But you have brought back such fun memories! Thanks!

Congrats on not needing the cane! Good that you rested. I do that when we go to the mall. All the standing makes my back hurt. Besides, I love to people watch!

Jamie - Wow! You're so close! You can do it! KUTGW!!!

Denise - I'm so jealous of your vacations! BF wants to buy a house, so we're saving money. In fact, he's talking about skipping Mardis Gras next February (you have to make hotel reservations FAR in advance because they fill quickly). Besides, I am only working temp, and I can't schedule a vacation because I never know when I'm going to be working. So I will live vicariously through you and your pictures! Thanks!

It would be better for my diet if we didn't have 3 minivacations this summer. It's been tough but I'm still weighing the same. I've been up and down the same 5 lbs about 8 times I think. After this vacation the first weekend of August, I'll be ready to buckle down and lose the last 28 lbs to reach my goal of 100 lbs for the year.
