Goodmorning Paula.... how are you?
I too have been on a kick for fish... Yesteray it was Captain D....

I am down another 2 lbs this morning.... alot of it fluid... my face was so swollen yesterday.... took my blood pressure med with the water pill in it... and I was a regular in the bathroom....

I feel really good today.... And i give God the glory.... things have really been put in prepective for me the past few days.... I feel free....

but I also feel like today is the day, to get back on plan... I feel confidant that I will be able to eat right today, with out the downfalls of craving something sweet in the afternoon.... I am ready to get past this and start to lose weight again....

Hopeing I make it to the pool sometimes day...since last week I didn' get to go at all because all of the storms we had.... its a indoor pool, but they refuse to open it up if there are storms... due to lighting....
hope everyone has a great day!

JENNAY, that is GREAT NEWS good for you!! You are sooo close. I like doing kimkins too, I've been eating fruit on the weekends and I'm liking that too.

LISA you have the right attitude you will succeed, I love Captain D's fish too, but I don't have one close to me, just Long John Silver, they're good too.

Thanks Paula for starting the thread and enjoy that fish

Hi everyone:

It's over!!! The wedding went off without a hitch. It was a beautiful ceremony. I'm exhausted though. We still have company staying over. I really enjoy having them. It's been like a party for five days now. I believe they are leaving Tuesday morning early. That's okay because I have to get back to work and my house is a disaster.

I have today off to run errands, take the tuxes back, the linens to the rental place, etc.

Yesterday it was impossible for me to stay on plan. So I caved and just ate what was available. I'm paying for it today. I hope to jump right back on the wagon though. My weight is up 2 lbs. From ONE day. Good grief. I didn't eat that much, it was just all the wrong stuff. Hopefully I can drink a ton of water and green tea today to wash it out of my system. It may be the jump start I need to start losing again.

It was great to see family and friends and loved ones. The chapel was packed to standing room only. I didn't get a chance to take many pics. I haven't gone through the ones on my camera yet. My daughter, of couse, leaves for her honeymoon tonight and her photographer is also going on a week's vacation, so she said she would get the disks to my daughter when she gets back. So I have to wait a week or two before I can see the pics. I'm going to have my son-in-law (that sounds so weird) make copies so I can have my own to print, etc.

Got a lot to do today, so until later.

Hello everyone? How was your weekend?

Paula - Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. I thought the new threads started on Monday.

Paula/Tannie - I got some tilapia on sale at the grocery store. There was a great recipe on the Kimkins site I'm going to try because it sounds good. I typically can't eat fish without tartar sauce, so this should be interesting.

Lisa - congrats on the 2 pounds! You're headed back in the right direction! I need to get to the pool also.

Jennay - Wow! 5.5 pounds is terrific! Sounds like K/E really works for you!

Dream - I can't wait to see the pictures of the wedding! I don't envy you though. Especially with family staying with you! Don't worry about not staying on plan...that was a special occasion and expected!

As for me, I'm down another .5 this morning. This slow loss is annoying, but at least it's a loss instead of a gain.

I started a new assignment this morning, and it's only supposed to last a week. I brought my E/W, but couldn't eat them because it's an executive area. I'll have to eat breakfast before I leave, but I just can't eat that early in the morning. Since I'll have to find lunch, I'm not sure that I'll be able to start Kimkins this week after all. Oh well, at least I can still low carb!

Today I'm up a wee bit (.8 lb.) but that is due to our unfriendly neighborhood TOM, who also came to visit me last night. I'm just amazed I didn't go up my usual 3-5 lbs. (or more)....To counteract that slight gain and keep the loss moving, I'm doing a protein meal and then 2 whey protein shakes...Sticking with 2 Sugar-Free Rock Star Energy drinks, too, and lots of my 0 carb/0 cal flavored, bottled water.

Aggie: You wrote, "I wanted to start Kimkins tomorrow, but I bought some sirloins on sale this week, so we'll have to eat them first. Maybe BF can eat them! How long are you supposed to try the K/E?"

Hey, girl! First, you can have lean sirloin on KE. It may or may not slow you down...we're all different. But it's not like you can't have any! Second, you can stay on KE for as long as you wish. I'm learning I have to alternate between Kimkins and KE to keep the thing moving down...so when the scale hardly budges for a week, and I know it isn't due to exercise/muscle gain, that's when I switch!!!

Jennay: WTG!!! And, hon, you're welcome!!!

MyCatz: Baby, sounds like you found your MOJO again!

Tannie: Gosh, look how close you are to Onederland! You must be enjoying the view...standing there, practically at the threshold of Onederland!!!

DREAM!!! I am so happy you had a wonderful time at your dear daughter's wedding and that you are enjoying your company. And, you know, those 2 lbs. will be gone in no time. Shoot, what's 2 lbs. when you consider all the happy events that could have majorily tempted you this week???? I think you did fantastically well!!! Jumping right back on the track is just the way to get it going again!!!

Lisa - thanks so much for the encouragement! Right back at 'cha! You can do this!

DMM - I was thinking that most red meat is fatty, and that it is better to avoid on K or K/E. I made stir-fry with some for lunch yesterday and then last night BF grilled some for fajitas. I only ate a couple of pieces because I was on the phone with my family. (Why do they always call when you're eating or watching a favorite TV show?) I didn't have any problems with the scale, but isn't it true that red meat takes longer to digest and the scales could actually go up before going down? At least sometimes it does for me.

I know we discussed diet drinks earlier. My favorite is A&W Diet Cream Soda, and all this time I was thinking for some reason that it didn't have caffeine in it, but I read the label, and it does! I'm going to keep drinking it though. It helps with my sweet cravings. I typically don't care for all the cokes (that's what we call them down here; when I lived in Arkansas, they called the "sodas", and DMM, don't y'all call them "pop"?), and I like my tea unsweetened, which is the reason why I haven't gotten any of the diet green tea. I even make my Koolaid with just water and no sugar...talk about STOUT! But sometimes the carbonated drinks make me stall and sometimes they don't, but they help with the hunger. Do you find that sometimes you're starving, and other times you're nauseous? I've noticed that some of you talk about SNATT, but I also know that everyone has TOM except for me (and maybe Gran), but I still have times of the month where my body hasn't adjusted to the shock of losing everything and my hormones get weird - kind of a pseudo TOM of sorts. Those days are the days that the scales are higher for me. Oh my...a book! Sorry! This is what happens when I finally get motivated...I can't shut up!

DMM - I tried the protein whey shake mix with 1% milk yesterday. Since it didn't make a difference in the taste, I guess I'm not going to add the fat & calories, and I'll just stick with water & ice. But that's a good idea. I'll try that. I can drink it at my desk when I get to work. Thanks for that!

Aggie: Yes, Kimmers say that even lean red meats have 30% more fat calories than trimmed chicken or turkey. I am not a big fan of red meat, unless it's made into an Italian meatball (!!!) so it's not too big of an issue for me but...Anyway, some people don't slow down wt. loss at all.

Once, after a 2 whey protein shake day, I had a small (like 4-5 oz.) lean eye-of-round steak (no salad) and it didn't hurt my wt. loss at all. But, like I said, I have to keep the rest of the day to shakes. Maybe you could try the same? Good way to use up that whey protein stuff you bought, along with your lean steaks! Or just try a steak here and there...like once a week?

And yep, in my area of Michigan, we say "pop." My mom (who was born in PA) calls them "sodas." So I say "soda pop" cuz I know different areas of the country have different names for that fuzzy carbonated beverage!!!!

Ok, I'm off to watch a movie...been working and writing all day, and TOM has me whipped out and feeling like the devil...

Have a beautiful low-carb day, ladies!!!!

Lisa - Did you try that "bark" stuff? Was it any good?

Paula - are you still taking the coconut oil? I stopped taking it and started losing again.

I haven't heard anyone talking about eating pickles lately. Anybody have success with them?

Goodmorning Ladies, hope everyone is having a good Tuesday morning..... I am down another .8 of a lb, I will take it...... I still have a ways to go to get back to where I was when i left for vacation, but in time I will get there.... Yesterday was alot better..... I stayed on plan until Dh complained about the icecream sandwiches I brought him, he said they tasted sour and refuse to eat them, I opened one up and took two bites and they tasted fine.... and he took the rest of it and ate it.... other then that had a great day....

I have got to cook me some more pork rinds today..... I have just about finished off the 3 bag that I cooked last week..... it sure helps having them to munch on....

Good morning ladies!

I'm down a pound this morning! I guess y'all were right...switching things up tricks your body into losing again. Whatever works, huh?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Jennay who
