Last week I didn't.
I'm going to again this week. It's not much harder...keeps me focused on healthy choices. I lost 4.5 the first week, 2 the second, and nothing last week (cause I wasn't really doing anything but atkins and chip slip up). |

Hello Ladies, I can't seem to get rid of these 2 lbs
everyday the scale bounces around from 225-223, today I'm at 223, which is better than 225.![]() I've been on a fish kick lately, I had fried talipa on Sat. nite, I brought in a can of sardines with tabasco peppers for lunch today, I've got to find a place to eat them, tho. I can't eat them with my coworkers I will spare them the smell. I plan on having more talipa for dinner. After that, that should take my fish cravings away, altho tuna salad with egg and mayo sounds good too![]()

Tannie I haven't been on any plan the past week or better, having a hard time sticking to anything... and I know its all because I am not in ketosis..
I wake up with good intentions and somewhere between lunch and dinner I cave and eat everything I am not suppose to eat....no self control at all.... when in ketosis I am in control.... Got to get back in it and quick.... ![]() |

Lisa, that's the same problem I'm having, I start the day off good but by mid day it is "on and popping" and it has been carb laced, that's why my scale is bouncing between 225-223.
Today is a new day, Thank God, and you and me will succeed THIS DAY with staying on plan. It is 10:33 am here and so far I'm making an "A" grade, how about you? |

Hello everyone! Just a quick check in for me.
Paula - please tell me what coconut oil is good for again. I tried to skim the posts, but couldn't find what you said. DMM - I can relate totally to your sister. With no insurance, they just give you a bandaid and a pill and can't do much more for you. I finally ended up paying for my hysterectomy myself! I work temp jobs, so I don't qualify for any assistance. Really bad situation with no resolution. ![]() BF ordered pizza yesterday. I just ate toppings like I did last time, but the scales didn't like it this time. Oh well! ![]() Hope everyone has a marvelous Monday! ![]() |

If you try it, the virgin is the kind which is anti-yeast, and any type has the good medium chain fats. And if you do try it...start with a teaspoon and work your way up. If you do have internal yeast (and that's hard to tell), taking too much will cause a blow out. As well as stomach cramps.Netrition sells a good brand, nutiva. I normally use Tropical Traditions, cause I got 2 gallons for about $80. Since i'm watching my calories right now, I'm only doing 1-2 teaspoons a day. Others go all the way up to 3 or 3.5 Tablespoons.

Hi all.
Not much new to report. Scale is holding at just slightly under 192, about 191.8 or so. I have a research group meeting tomorrow where I can officially weigh in so I will change my stats if my scale is telling the truth. This is wedding week for me. Family arrives on Thursday. Gonna be a busy time. I will be sure to get lots of pics. I hope I reach the 180's by the time it gets here. Then I will have finally made a goal I set for myself.Yesterday I wanted to eat everything in sight. I tried to stay LC but did sneak in some granola cereal. That added about 30 carbs to my day. Like Tannie and Lisa, not being in ketosis those cravings really kick in. I cooked tilapia last night too Tannie. Hadn't had it for a while. I like to blacken it so its cooked kinda crispy on the edges. Hopefully today will be a better day eating wise. So far so good. I brought chicken salad with lots of dark greens for lunch. The chicken salad has tons of dill relish in it. I've been eating pickles, but haven't really noticed any assistance in weight loss. This has been a really slow month for me losing wise. ![]() Its gonna be a hot one this week. Pray for cooler weather in the west for this weekend. I hope it's not too hot for the wedding.Have a great day. ![]()

I am heading to the pool soon, getting out of the house and away from food.... Dh wants fried chicken for dinner.... I have got to be good....I might pan fry mine in alittle olive oil.... |

Paula - thanks! I got some from GNC on Saturday, then when my BF asked me why, I couldn't remember!
Dream - good luck with the wedding week! Hopefully I won't be in your shoes for a while...or at least until after she's graduated and gotten a good job! But she still wants to go to medical school, so I guess we'll see what happens. I'm glad you brought up the pickles. I haven't heard anyone talk about their success with them. Lisa - did you get those pork rinds that you pop up in the microwave like popcorn? I've heard of those, but don't know where to get them. They're the perfect snack because I can only have a few of them before they start grossing me out! Tannie - I can't believe you're craving fish! I have to force myself to eat it! |

I'm 1 lb. up today...exercise gain, methinks. Nuts, here we go again. But that's the way it must be, it seems. Also, I am starting to feel like a bear and crampy...PMS time is here, that danged thing! And I have a whole week to wait until the arch-nemesis TOM is here.
Last night, I purchased Fitday PC , downloaded it, and I think I'm already hooked. (And this is from a person who really dislikes Fitday online)! This downloadable PC version is really cool, and it's so much easier to create Custom Foods. I like it since it will show graphs of how well I'm doing, avg. wt. loss so far, and even forecasts when I'll hit certain wts. (based on how I'm doing). Much easier than me sitting here and rechecking labels all the time! I also could see with certainty how my best wt. losses occur. It definitely is no more than 30 fat grams, 60 or less protein grams, 5-15 carbs per day. So perhaps the little tiny bit of lettuce I occasionally have when feeling shakey on KE isn't hurting at all! Then I went looking at the Kimkins board journals of the best losers. What I found was amazing once I took a look at some Fitdays and I want to pass it on. The best losers did the same (I already learned that from them) with the grams BUT here's a kicker: Chris, the woman who was on WW's front cover in June and who lost 100 lbs. in 5 months, ate a LOT of EW's. In fact, it seems to me she practically lived on them....having EW's for breakfast and lunch, then lean proteins like chicken or turkey ONLY for dinner. Hey, if that's what I also have to do to get this wt. off fast, I will do it! So...today I also started my own personal Egg White Challenge. (And I HATE EW's!). But I bought a carton of them anyway...poured out 1/4 cup, sprayed the pan with Pam, used Mrs. Dash No-Sodium Herb and Garlic seasoning and a tiny sprinkle of Parmesan cheese...and they were darned good! So I upped the EW's to 1/2 cup for lunch (= 2 shelled eggs) and skipped the Parmesan cheese this time. Dinner will be 5-6 oz. 98% fat-free canned white chicken (packed in water, but I drain it, of course!) and maybe 1 tbsp. Fat-Free Ranch dressing. If I feel a little week, I'll add 1 cup of lettuce. Today I did some heavy duty grocery shopping for the family and for my special needs. But everyone seems to like MY stuff, so little by little, the grocery list is transforming to a low-fat, low-carb list! Since we now have home-grown broilers in the freezer, we're all set for roasted chicken for awhile...but we're going to try ground turkey for the first time in yrs. I am not crazy about it, but hey - we do what we must, right? Tannie: Hon, might you be needing Omega 3-6-9? It might explain why you are suddenly in love w/fish! Catz: You can do it! This is just a slump...When I go back and see your posts from when I first joined, and I could see how well you were doing...well, gosh, girl, you're an INSPIRATION!!!! Aggie: You are SO right "really bad situation with no resolution." Well put, girl! This local insurance biz is for the birds! Btw, are your skirts falling off yet? Last I heard, they were twirling... ![]() Dream: Ooooh, a wedding week! How exciting!!! Sweets, slow months drive me batty too but NOW they also make me more determined to find out what the heck is going on with this body of mine! I am so geeked every time I look in the mirror and see that my backend went down considerably (I swear I lost most of the 45 lbs. there), how my big tummy is going down, and even my bust is going down. All those inches down give me a LOT of satisfaction...even if the scale doesn't! I still can't believe I lost 5 inches from the bust and 8 inches from the tummy in 9 Sundays just from my water aerobics. So, I'm almost 1/3 of my way to goal...yep, that tells you how much I need to lose yet...but dang it, 2007 IS going to be the year I do it! God knows I've tried long enuf! No more trying...just DOING. YKWIM, hon? You are just doing SO great...outwalking other people, losing 70 lbs. already...my gosh, how proud you must be!!! KUTG, girls!!!!

Wow, JAMIE you look sooo good, I love your eyes. You look tanned and relaxed, looks like you had a great time. Don't worry about not staying on plan, it's sooo hard to do on vacation when everyone is eating and drinking and trying new stuff, Welcome Back
![]() LISA I stayed on plan all day yesterday Here we go.DREAM, how do you blacken your fish, I like my fish crispy too around the edges, that's why I opted for frying, but blacken sounds like less carbs. Is it just blackpepper, would it be too spicey? Inform me please. CHAR I use Louisiana Seasoned Fish Fry, it only has 5 carbs per 2 teaspoons. The yellow cornmeal that I used to use had 25 carbs per 3 tsp. I had more fish for dinner last nite, I will make tuna salad today. MISS M you are probably right, I will buy myself some omega3 supplements today. I use ground chix & turkey all the time, in place of beef and the family has gotten used to it. ![]() I finally hit the 200 pound lost this morning, I was 221.6 ![]() But for some reason since I'm here, it doesn't seem all that special Maybe I'll get that feeling when I reach 199. I'm gonna tell my DH when he wakes up and see if he brings me flowers or balloons today at work, I doubt it, if I don't say it, it will not happen. Sometimes I like lil surprises from him,![]() My sister brought me a nice pair of earrings when I weighed less than my DH a few weeks ago as a gift, so why would I expect him to do something now, nevermind me ladies I'm just rambling. I'll put some balloons in my post, that'll cheer me up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Good morning everyone!
Denise - About the aggravating time with your mother and TOM...just remember that both will pass! Miss M - 1/3 of the way sounds great! Don't look back, just press on! I am envious of your quick loss, but I can barely handle baked chicken; I doubt I could handle egg whites! ![]() Jennifer - Your weight loss is amazing! Do you eat out, and if so, where? Lisa - I crave chocolate too. I crave everything I can't have! But hang in there! You'll be back in ketosis in no time and telling us about those huge whooshes again! Jamie - I am so glad you're back! We've missed ya! Love the tan, love the sundress, but love the bra laying there in the picture! Ha! Don't worry if you've gained. You enjoyed your vacation. Now you're back where you need to be. ![]() Char - over 14 pounds in two weeks? That's wonderful! Tannie - As soon as I read your post, I ran down the hall and told the woman who is supposed to have her surgery soon. The 200 pound lost mark is simply incredible! You should be so proud! ![]() Paula - I got the coconut oil in the jar instead of the soft gels because I remembered that you said that they make some sick, so I started out with 1/2 teaspoon. It's hard to get down, so I mixed it with a little Splenda. Ugh! ![]() Gran - we'll miss you, but I want to see photos of your new bathroom after it's done. Everyone have a terrific Tuesday! ![]() |
